Every time we go in Paula is working and she is just the sweetest. Paula is doing such an amazing job in customer service she makes us feel like we known her forever. Don't get us wrong we love the other employees too but she is the one that stands out. Great job to Dollar General.

Store is super gross. Walking down the aisles and there are roaches, there were even 2 down one aisle and one of them was still switching, so gross. Not going back there.

Always find it hard to find things. Boxes everywhere and they are stocking stuff while people are shopping. Some of the cashiers don't know basic math as well. I hate to sound like a mean Karen-type person but idk these folks need better managers maybe to teach them how to perform correctly. It is convienient to shop there that's why I and lots of people like it. They could just try a little better to make everybody's shopping experience better.

Couldn't get down the isles because they had metal stocking racks on almost all of them. Cluttered. Not well organized. One employee outside in front taking big hits off her vape like it was going out of style, all of the workers dressed in black but very unprofessional,untidy and inappropriate. Went to check out, put my things on counter and waited a few minutes till I had someone to check me out. Then, she scanned each item without picking them up and told me my total, as she stared blankly at me I gave her the money and she gave me my change and as I waited for her to put my items in a bag, she didn't, she stared at me like I was stupid. I made a comment about a bag and she told me with a attitude , " we don't have bags today!". I'm very nice so I just said, ok I guess I will just put my things back in my basket and go. Have a nice day, and she looked at me like I was crazy.The other day same vape girl was out in front vaping. And the other one behind counter playing the radio loud. She had such a tight and short shirt on. I'm surprised that they let thier employees work like that.They need someone else to do the hiring over here at this store. A more professional,business individual and they might have better luck with thier employees.

Always friendly, even if your coming in 5 minutes before they close! Good sales with digital coupons. Although the discount on your receipt is very confusing. Their biggest problem with that store is they are limited on space and they are so busy they can't keep merchandise on the shelf. They need to have a night crew that stocks the shelves and cleans the store so that when they open at 8am. they are ready to check out customers. Lately their is always customers waiting in line to pay. And don't try hiring a 3rd person to help the two person teams they have now because I've seen that in the past. When that happens the manager stays in the office instead of on the floor. Well, just the heavy set white lady that is. The other, older manager works her ass off!

Stocked, clean and ms. Doris is always customer friendly. Seems like she has gotten so good help in the store. I really do wish customers would stop trashing the store so the associates can concentrate on putting the stock out.

There's an African American lady working there that is rude as hell! I've had family go there and get yelled at, and I've talked to a few people that have also encountered this bucket of sunshine. We used to be regular customers, but I would rather pay insanely higher prices than deal with this nutbag. Her customer service skills consist of complaining and yelling at you in the most abrupt and rude manner..

Well, I went in there for a few items, and got like 2 out of 4 things I needed. They cannot keep this store stocked, never hire enough help, so, shelves stay bare.

I shop in the store that is in groves and I'm usually a bit disappointed because it's jam-packed and nothing is been put away on the shelves I don't know what's causing this there's so many changes in clerks you can't really get a good answer I would spend more time and buy more things there if I didn't feel so trapped with all the racks in the aisles I think it is a fire hazard but everybody in groves knows about this... I have stopped at the other store that's over the bridge in Bridge City and I don't find it near as messy at all!

This is a great store. I visit the local one one Main Avenue in Groves, Texas. I also frequently shop on line at Dollar General. The huge shopping facilities could learn much from the customer care personnel of the Dollar General. The Call Centers of the large companies are very difficult to understand because of the background activity.

Cluttered up on isles with stock, boxes, freight, carts. Need to hire more stockers. Hard to get down isles. I gave 4 stars cuz it is still worth squeezing by freight due to quick, in and out friendly service. Short lines at register

This store sucks. I can always count on them to not have what I came for. Half the time the shelves are bare and the place looks like its going out of business. You can barely navigate the aisles with a shopping cart due to the merchandise carts full of unstocked merchandise. Then we you go to check out there is always a mile long line and then there will inevitably be a problem with the register os something. It is obvious that the store is understaffed and has been since they opened the Groves location. I have gotten to where I dont even waste my time going there and go to the Port Neches store. Its a little bit further but it is well worth the extra time and gas to not have to deal with the aggravation of the Groves store!! All the problems I described at the Groves location do not exist at the PN store!! The Jefferson City locatiin is better than the Groves store!! I hate this store and will do my best to never shop there again!!

Unusual,but I'm going to say I'm proud of 👮. I'm usually late going and getting to places,since my vehicles were stolen, my intentions were to get to Dollar general at least 40 min before closing, but of course I was late and it was upon closing time. I, setting back looking on phone to figure ND out if there were any other local stores in groves to run in still open, looked up after 7 min, and THIER he was, a city of Groves Texas (marked) "police vehicle" **(personal opinion is they should have purple metallic vehicles with silver /White letters and black outline)(unique)headed toward me. Officers window was down already, as he trying not to smile,knowing who I was, told us that store employee called them for security. He had to check for thier safety.I'm glad people take precautions in this area. God knows we should not have to, but now until things get back to the way God planned, we must all protect each other, even if standby, for anyone,even someone you might think is part of the "bad guys" "rude ol lady's club" or whatever click,you may never know, that may be the one you might step in and help, to scared to ask or say anything with fear of judgement or rejection. Just make sure they aren't being taken advantage of or targeted or used because they have no one person here to provide thier own body guards,gaurdians, secret security. Police,agents,angels,cops,officers,uca, GCU Keep up the good effort and make it show. Chose to stand UP together,not against, to protect and provide positive support, plan a groves improvement project, go back and check projects done, Parks need to be looked at closely. Electrical issues safety, street lights need called in to make them come out for all to work for security, have them review paper on our water sewer drainage issues.....issues at this time are serious for all you must report this to general landboffice that they are charging and nit doing my ditches are maintained by me and neef augering and its made me sad that they hit a line yrs back old contracting company groves hired and groves refuses to fix it causing my water bill to be outragous. Negligent ..read your city's reports guys...united...you might have a little voice but big impact on some poor familys life. The Dollar General's both in Groves and Port Neches. Staff is professional and always have a wonderful attitude. Both stores always have in stock the items I need in stock (m&ms,chicken crackers,Body Armor). 5/5

It's like they are going out of business every week.thwy never have anything in stock,like nothing.they don't even have none of the essentials like soap or even tooth brushes.the freezers have been broken for months.only reason I even gonrhwe is cause it's down the street from my job.they need new Management

This location is unorganized to say the least but they are trying to improve it. The main issue I have is the parking lot is terrible and needs to be fixed asap. If your car is low be careful.

Groves was horrible. Could not walk down isles because of carts. Could not find what I was looking for and fire exit was blocked. Went to Port Neches store and walked right in and was clean and neat and found what I was looking for in less than a minute
