My daughter and I went into the store around 5:30 here in Greenville and no one came to help assist us. So, we found what we wanted and headed to the counter to pay. When we got there, the cashier was helping someone apply for a card, but never acknowledged we were there waiting. She didn’t even ask someone to come assist us since she was taking a long time to finish with the application process and ring the lady’s purchases up.With that type of customer service, I put my items back and left the store.

I went in to purchase an algae eater. No one was working in the fish department so I went to the register after looking around and not locating any employees. The worker went to help me. Asked if I knew a place would get large and I informed her that yes I did. Then over the intercom she was called back to the register. So a man with red nails came to get me the Pleco. She asked me if I had alternate plans for the fish when it grew too large for my tank. It was everything in me to hold my tongue. Neither employee knew how many tanks I have in my home. Neither knew my knowledge of fish. Neither knew anything about me. Except that the place was going into a 30 gallon tank. Petco doesn't have an adoption process for their fish sales yet I was questioned and treated like an idiot that had no clue what I was doing. When the man took the fish to the register I followed right behind him. Got in line and when I was up to pay the woman ..who had previously helped me...apologized to the fish. I told her I'm not an idiot and I know how to care for fish. I will NEVER purchase anything again from Petco. If I'm treated like an idiot and an employee apologizes to a fish for going to live at my home then Petco no longer needs my money. It was the dumbest and most embarrassing moment to see an employee apologize to a fish ....

Bough Chameleons here and they will tell you everything and anything to make a sale. They told me everything wrong. Do NOT buy the kits they don't have a thing worth a damn there for Chameleons! Was told wrong amount of use on Vitamins and Calcium daily/weekly/monthly. Only thing useful in kit was enclosure itself and it's even too small. Worst part of it all was the employees acting like they knew what they were saying and trained, should have known as they contradicted one another.

The groomers here are the BEST! They always help my pup look awesome he never has any anxiety issues! I have taken my dog to many other more expensive groomers, but the team at Petco in Greenville has been the best!

The sales agent helped me as I tried to find healthy food my dog would like. She also promised a full refund if Tchai wouldn't eat the food. I felt valued and confident that they care about my dog, too!

It's the worst place to buy anything, all they try to do is sell you the most expensive things and when you don't buy them they refuse service. Don't go here!!!

The groomers are great and helpful. Always quick with a nail trim and love on my little guy so he feels safe. He is a senior pet that is blind. Minimal stress for him. Thank you!

I get my naughty dog groomed here because the staff is so kind and understanding. No matter who actually ends up grooming her, they are always patient and gracious. They also have a VitalCare plan that saves me lots of money on grooming and other pet supplies.I've also had my dog go through obedience classes here. Thanks to them, my dog will now sit, stay, and do just about anything for a treat!They also have $25 vaccine clinics, which is awesome!

I was a little upset that they didn't carry finches , but they sell the cage for them. Also I don't like that they put so many geckos together. There shouldn't be 6 or more in the same aquarium. The area around the fish was a little messy and they didn't have any lights on in the tanks.

I have been in the store numerous of times and then today on February 20, 2024. I get yelled at across the store about a fish sack when I stood over there for a while as many other times was in there Saturday standing for an hour, no one would help, this is the scariest store I have ever been in and will not return. There was also another gentleman that was yelling across the store that was in the Dog supply saying I need help. I yelled across the store and told him we do something wrong and you’ll get attention

Extremely great staff, helpful fish experts (unless you have impossibly high standards like some other reviewers), super excellent dog trainers, haven't ever used the groomers. The selection isn't world beating but it's a smaller location than others and there are alternatives for specialty items. Overall great experience every time.

Join VitalCare! It pays for itself and gets you monthly credits and percentage off on certain products. They also offer Vetco clinics for vaccines and routine/annual services for cats and dogs. Great place to keep your pet healthy and to buy various pet products.

Petco is a little pricey however, when I've purchased the same brand of dog food somewhere other than Petco it is never as fresh as when I get it from Petco. To me that's worth the little extra.

Every single fish I bought within a 3 week period (8 in total) have died. My other fish, that I have had for years are still fine, so it's not the water. Water has been tested and it's good, just sick fish from this store. Cashiers were rude, and busy gossiping while I waited in line, even though they saw me standing there. Whole experience itself was not satisfactory and would rather spend my money elsewhere.The policy of bring in the dead fish back up to the store with water sample is a bit ridiculous. I have pictures of the dead fish and I don't live close enough to the store to continue making trips up there every other day when another one of their fish died. They did not want to replace, so I bought more and they died as well.Do not like this company and would rather drive further to get better service and better policy.

So I’m not one to write reviews, good or bad. But I was completely disappointed with the service I received at petco grooming. I brought my poodle in to get groomed and the previous weekend when I booked the appointment I was told my pup would be with someone who has cut poodles for 35 years. With that being said I was super confident she was going to be cut so pretty. I showed the lady what kind of cut I wanted. When I came to pick her up it wasn’t at all what I asked for! I was explaining how it wasn’t and kept questioning why her nose was shaved. The response I got was “well I had to clean her eyes out and I can’t put the hair back” if you look at the picture she looks more like a schnauzer than a poodle! Now granted, they didn’t make me pay. their attitude towards not understanding why I didn’t like the cut frustrated me beyond belief! If you look at the picture below anyone can clearly see how I didn’t get what I asked for! Needless to say we won’t ever be returning to petco grooming!

I always love petco, not that I go often. But it was especially awesome, there was a cute gecko who had escaped. It would let them very close and scurry off. The employees were careful to not hurt him, which is why they still hadn't caught when we left.Also I've found a new natural aid in my grumpy old man's little hips. Haven't had to give him painkillers in over 2 weeks.

The Petco people and services were fine. I really appreciate them doing the job they do. My problem is with the website and the fact that their prices, or lack of information on prices, is misleading. I even phoned the Petco to confirm the price that I saw on the screen. There must have been some miscommunication because I was told that would be the total cost. It was not. Do not have a problem with the pricing. The visit was well worth it. However, that information needs to be not only available but easily accessible. Nobody likes surprises when it comes to the pocketbook.

I visit the store frequently because I have a cat a dog and a fish tank. But on three separate visits, to purchase frozen food for fish. I get it home and realize, the package is short on amount. I don't know if someone is stealing it, or if employees are taking out of packaging to feed fish.

So I was applying at this location and here’s how that went. I spoke on the phone with the hiring manager for the retail side, I believe, and that went well. She was sweet, we set up an interview the same day. When I went to look up the location of the interview, I realized that instead of the location being Greenville, Dallas like I believed it was Greenville, TX (an hour away from me.) The distance wasn’t an issue because I was relocating and looking for apartments. I knew then I had to reschedule the interview so I called and got another manager from aquatics. I tried to explain the situation to her and tell her I was calling the line back because this is where I got a call back from for the interview and she kept telling me about other Dallas numbers when I told her about the misunderstanding. Because I had to keep explaining that I got the call back from this location, I then asked can I speak to the hiring manager that I was talking to earlier that day and she told me she was busy. So I was like okay and the lady from aquatics told me another manager would call me back later. Instead of a callback, I got a rejection email, so I called back to figure out what happened and got the original manager I talked to and explained my situation. She understood and said another manager that rejected me because of my distance, would call me back after a meeting. When that manager called me back later, that manager informed me that the manager from aquatics claimed I cussed at her in Spanish and had an attitude. I didn’t get that vibe from our conversation, nor do I know Spanish, but because of that I ended up getting a rejection email before this manager called back because of the manager from aquatics. And I think it’s because I asked for the manager I talked to earlier, but that definitely set a bad taste in my mouth about the managers that run this location and how they treat the people working for them. I definitely feel profiled as well because why was it assumed I spoke Spanish, even though I never did? Never had an interview process like this in my life.
