Wow, the older gentleman who works here was very rude! He didn't say a word to me when I walked in, which is fine- but I did notice, as all other stores in Gladewater I was greeted with friendliness and the woman who came in after me (who he seemed to know) meritted a cordial conversation. When I asked him a question later he was very abrupt, didn't smile once and snapped his response at me. It was so startling and off putting that even though I'd intended to buy the items, I decided not to. When I did find something I wanted enough to deal with him, he did not say a single word beyond the price and I had to ask for paper to wrap my glass item- to which he complied with poor grace. When we completed the transaction he did not thank me or tell me good bye. I don't expect to make my new best friend from a retail worker, but I do expect a little courtesy. There are so many really nice antique shops in Gladewater, I think I'll just skip this one next time.

Stopped in here a few weeks ago on a Sunday. When we came in we were greeted with a, “hi, how are y’all?” When we reciprocated the question, the older man said, “Tired! Ready to go home!” He said the same thing to a family that came in after us. They actually left because of his comment. Gladewater had had their big tree lighting the day before, he said, and he was ready for a break. Understandable! He did offer us free leftover cookies from the event, which was nice.As we proceeded to amass some things to buy, leaving the larger things on the counter since there are no shopping carts, we were met with silent stares and glares. He even quipped to me, “Girl, you’re going to have to start stacking that stuff somewhere else.” As if annoyed we were buying quite a few things. A friend of his was there and they chatted at the front our whole trip, complaining about things and other people. My husband asked to look at something in a glass case and the man said, “you mean you’re going to make me get up?” And hinted at my husband needing to buy the item since he had to get up and open the case. When we checked out, we paid with a card and again were met with a huff and an eye roll because he had to move across the counter to get the machine.Now look, I’m familiar with this particular brand of veiled sarcastic kidding-not-kidding “humor.” I’m no fan of it, but I can decipher when someone is kidding and when they’re not. This was a blend of both, erring on the side of not kidding.Despite his behavior, we would probably go back. The finds and the prices were great. We’ll just be prepared for a few barbs.

This store has great items but the man behind the counter was so rude! We were interested in a vintage gas stove listed at $400. When I went to the counter to ask about it, the man wouldn't even turn around. I waited silently until he finally turned to look at me but his face looked very disdainful. When I ask about the stove, he gave me a short lecture on how many dealers they had and he couldn't know everything about the stuff. I get that but he never offered to call the owner of the stove. If I were the stove owner I'd want to know this guy is causing buyers to leave without purchasing items. It's a shame! The store lost a $400 sale simply due to the employee's rudeness. I might could have chalked it up to the guy having a bad day but according to another review, this is his normal and apparently proud behavior.

A good stop! They have a nice variety of things to look at. I scored a great 3' tall Santa for $35. Needs a little fixing up, but that's only because I want to :)Definitely just stop by and look around!

Found some great items here a good prices the older man behind the counter was very appreciative of our help getting something heavy off the wall. Cash is king. Will be back.

This store was my favorite one in Gladewater, till this last visit. The man working behind the counter was rude to us, from the moment we walked in till we gave up trying to buy something and just left. Saying a friendly hello when we entered was met with a grunt as he turned away and busied himself reading. Asking for help at the counter was ignored twice, then we got a shirt and rude one word answer. When we tried to pay for our items he actively ignored us, while chatting very loudly with two different groups of 50-60-something women, who were locals. Apparently if you're not from Gladewater you aren't welcome to shop here when he's working. Additionally, he was bragging about how rude he was to customers he didn't like, and about kicking people out of the store. I'll take my business elsewhere! I'm sure they don't need my little $100 sale, but they also won't be getting my repeat business.

Fantastic store with fantastic customer service. My girlfriend and I were looking for some Beanie Babies and while the store didn't have any at the moment, the kind gentleman working there looked around the store for us to make sure, then suggested we try checking out the antique store next door. While at the store next door, he apparently called someone to find out if there were any in stock nearby and came all the way back to find us and inform us of another place we can check out Never been met with such kindness and thoughtfulness. Please check this place out! They have a nice big selection of vintage goods. Despite us not getting what we were looking for, we still enjoyed everything the store had to offer! Don't wanna miss it!
