I live over 30 minutes away from this location. I called in and asked whether an item was in stock. The uneducated woman who answered the phone didn't even know what I was calling about. I tried clarifying my description of the item and even mentioned online it says you have more than 60 in stock. She ignorantly dismissed me and said we're out of stock. I wasn't very convinced by her foolishness, so I decided to make the hour round-trip. Turns out they really DID have over 60 in stock.

Employee Tameka took the time to help me as she was finished for the day. I told her thank you so much anyway, and she assisted. Great representative of Home Depot! Made my quick visit very special.

This location has gone downhill fast. Dozens of employees wandering around and yet everyone passes the buck and is completely disinterested in helping. We needed keys made and apparently not one employee was capable of helping or operating the machine. Customer service very rudely told us that the key cutter is no longer used and pointed at one of those do- it- yourself kiosks. When we went to put the keys we had selected back we were treated as though we were stealing and told not to touch them (even though we were clearly putting them BACK on the display) and if we needed help we should have gone to customer service (even though we had waited by the machine for quite awhile with employees passing us right by). Definitely won't go back to this location.

Good in a pinch but kind of a trashy store. Prefer the one up 45. I would have reported this safety hazard as a bunch of lumber was piled up against the post just barely hanging on by a couple threads but the staff was up front standing in a circle on their phones. I used the self checkout and left.

Galveston Home Depot is the collection of unprofessional, customer averse employee shop. I am surprised how this shop remains competitive and open, with such horrible customer service. I purchased three appliances recently, with installations. It all started with horrible customer service at the time of the purchase. The service woman at the appliance department did not even smile or thanked us for doing the business with them. When the appliances were delivered, it turned out that the dishwasher was not only damaged but also required extended hose and drain lines. The delivery guy re-ordered the new dishwasher, but instructed me to physically visit home depot to request new installation crew, and extended lines. The Home Depot service department could not even properly assist me; I was sent back and forth from service to appliance departments. In appliance department, the service representative could not even look up what I was looking for online because he did not know to accept/reject cookies, which was blocking his ability to do anything online. Eventually, I was told that I need to find my own appliance representative to install the appliance because Home Depot does not deal with non-standard connection (non-standard here is extended hose). Ironically, when we ordered the appliances and also paid installation fee, the representative never asked what kind of installation they may have to deal with. There is a huge efficiency loss in every service they provide. In such a big and nation-wide corporation that the Home Depot is, they should do basic training upon the hire of the service personnel.

My experience at Home Depot in Galveston was average. While the store offers a wide range of products, I found it challenging to locate employees when I had questions. The lack of readily available assistance impacted my overall shopping experience. Improved customer service and staff availability would enhance the store's appeal.

Pretty typical Home Depot with lots of variety but some inventory outages especially for things I need it seems. Nice people very much visible to help me. Easy to enter the parking lot but kind of a nosebleed to leave due to poor road engineering.

This morning we went in and there was a lady behind the register named Karen in the garden center that was just not happy and seemed to not like her job much. Later we went back and MABLE was working and she was just so sweet and made it such a better experience!

Spent $8000 on GE Cafe range and refrigerator with HD and although our delivery was quick the refrigerator ice drawer had a huge crack on the front face. The delivery guys were nice but were so quick to have us sign off on it we didn’t see the broken drawer until they were gone. Called Home Depot literally 5 minutes after guys left and was told sorry you have to call GE. Spent hours on phone with GE to finally have parts call me and say they would send a new drawer out. Well they did but it didn’t work the way it should have and no service person to install it. After spending $4,200 on a fridge you would think they would make sure everything was satisfactory. Drawer has a label over split which meant it was not supposed to be sold I’m assuming but GE send it anyway. Not sure you get service with HD if you buy from them

Waited 8 weeks for four cabinets and when I finally got them they were so damaged my husband had to rebuild them. Our countertops were coming the next day and wouldn’t have had time to reorder. Completely horrible customer service and experience!!!

My mom & I went to this location to see what type of flooring for her house. We got great service from the personnel. Helped greatly to assist us. Also they gave us free paint ... When checking out, the cashier at front was giving us a hard time! When my mom try explaining, she kinda walked away & rudely told us to leave

It's the big orange empire.. kinda goes without saying they are the Walmart of lumber and hardware retailers. Expect to get looked at like your speaking French to a German if you ask for help. They don't require much more than yeah it's a hammer as expertise from their employees

Bought a Shop-Vac at Home Depot a day ago opened it up and not all the parts were there and it looked like it was going to return it was still dirty. I called them if they told me to bring it back and they will give me a refund. I told them they must have put it back on the Shelf without checking it to make sure the stuff is all back in the box and that it hadn't been used.

This place is a machine. I went during the week and there were so many people there. I was looking for a step stool. I asked several people if The Home Depot sold them. Everyone was real helpful but didn't think they had them. Finally one employee said it they did it would be on the last aisle next to the ladders. Sure enough, that's where they were. The one they have is too short for what I wanted to do but I did find a metal bench that I needed as well. So, not a wasted trip

A great place to go when you need something quick. The Paint Department is always on top of it. The Lumber Department have allot of different sizes and selections. The cashiers get you in and out then back on the job site as quickly as possible.

Do Not do Curbside at this Home Depot. One of my 2x4 is cut halfway through, one is splitting down the middle. Two of my 3/4” plywood are 1/2”, and the two that are 3/4 are cracked.

Placed my order online for delivery to the store. It said my item wouldn't be in for another week but, it came in early so, I picked it up today.Jerry helped me at the pickup desk. He was very friendly and helpful all while waiting on other customers at the same time.The order was brought to me and a nice young man helped me load it into my vehicle. Good job Home Depot!

Reluctantly shop here, no Lowe’s on the island. Caution buying plants here, but glad to report that their key duplicating was a success, unlike at the Beaumont location. They offer no discounted plants, like Lowe’s.

First Saturday of every month they host a free kids workshop. Great time to get the kids involved with a hands on building activity. They normally have a snack for the kids too. Thanks home depot.

Great service from employee Lennard! Went above and beyond (literally he had to hoist himself up on the electric lift) to get a box on the top shelf at the bottom of a stack of super heavy boxes. This was after 9 pm and he was sweating fierce after moving all the bodies to get to the one I needed so I'm sure he was ready to go home. He was very courteous and pleasant the whole time. Not one sigh! Give him a raise!

Went to appliances to purchase a 5.0 freezer. None on display but several in boxes. When I finally found help I ask if they had any on display. The answer was "no".I said " so is there any way to see one? " Again the answer was "no". Great service.

Best Home Depot! Amazing customer service, especially in the lumbar department. Chris, the manager was so kind to correct mistakes that were made to my plywood cut on the saw. She made it a point to make sure I had a positive experience and quality cuts. Tony was also a big help in my latest project. The staff will always guide me in the right direction and smiles as I walk in. Grateful this is my store!!
