I want to express my gratitude and appreciation to Dr Ryan Andree’ at Galveston Vet Clinic. Our sweet boy Eddie who was an old English Bulldog was his patient for a year and half after we moved to Galveston. He was almost 14 when he crossed over the rainbow bridge. Dr Andree’ was always available to consult when we brought him in and he went way above in researching his diagnosis for the best possible treatment. He truly is an animal lover and strives to make a connection with each of his furry patients. If you’re looking for a great veterinarian with a compassionate demeanor Dr Andree is the best choice!

Recently moved to the island, brought my dog here to establish with a new vet and get up to date on shots, etc.Online appointment booking was easy, received confirmation and reminder texts as well, which helped tremendously!Staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming.Saw Dr Henderson, who was down to earth and caring. Did not feel rushed through appointment; he addressed all my questions and concerns kindly and thoroughly.Highly recommend this clinic!

I have my very first dog ever, I used to have cats, and everyone here are so kind, patient, and thorough. I’ve had couple of instances where I just had no clue if something was normal and they were kind enough to explain to me and basically give me a run through of dogs.They’ve been so sweet to my pup every time we’ve gone there.

We really like Dr. Ryan Andrée at Galveston Veterinary Clinic. He is very patient with our super- hyper rat terrier mix. You can tell he is an animal lover. He listens to our concerns about some treatments and medications and offers alternatives. We didn’t get the name of the technician, on our last visit, but he was very good.

We absolutely LOVE Dr. Andree. He treated our dog with cancer, my dog who needed a CCL repair, and he’s even willing to take care of our dog who isn’t quite so friendly. He is a blessing to our family. The staff is always so friendly and so responsive to questions. They are timely and honor your appointment time. I am so thankful to have found this place.

I can't express enough of how great this place is. Yesterday, we had to say goodbye to our buddy Zeus 😢 for 15 years he has been by our side through it all. Dr. Andree was his doctor for the past 8 years, and the love he had towards Zeus was uncontrollable, and I just want to say thank you for all you have done for our big guy over the years. Now I understand why he was always happy about his visits. It was you that he was looking forward to seeing.

Very kind and compassionate staff. Until the other day I had never been to this vet office but my sweet girl got very sick and sadly had to be euthanized. They were very sympathetic but honest with me about her condition. Dr. Gordon was so kind and was so helpful. It’s such a hard decision to say goodbye, but she reassured me that I was making the best decision for my girl.

This was my first experience with Dr. Hunt & the oral hygienist. They both were awesome, very caring & compassionate. I absolutely recommend them. Office staff was great, & able to answer my questions & concerns. I esp. appreciate that this clinic participates in the TNR program, which I’ve utilized on a couple occasions & highly recommend this program.

We had an amazing experience at this clinic. We totally recommend it 100/100. Very humane, kind, friendly and professional. Our dog was shot by our neighbor; we had to take him in as an emergency and they went above and beyond to help us with everything they could. We are very grateful for all the help they provided us. Staff was professional, informative, and very loving to my 2 cats. The separate cat facility was an added bonus. The Vet listened to my questions and concerns and addressed them all, and even threw in a couple fun facts about my cats I didn't know! 100% would recommend.

Galveston veterinary clinic was amazing! I was in town on vacation for the weekend and my dog, Zora, was kicked by a neighboring horse. Crazy as it sounds, it happened. Zora the Explorer has a way of getting herself into nonsense. I was afraid her leg was broken because she was limping badly and had a scar on her leg. Galveston veterinary clinic was able to see her within an hour and a half of me calling them. They were all extremely helpful and friendly and very reasonably priced. Thank you for taking such good care of my pooch. She’s back to her usual self already.

Office staff took care of me and got my dogs in quite efficiently. For emergency care, they immediately took care of my one dog and treated her like she was their own. Two of my dogs go absolutely crazy going to the vet. They love it. They must be doing something right if the dogs really like going there. I'm very thankful for the attention and dedication to their craft and taking care of my dogs.

The Galveston Veterinary Clinic was a great place to take my dog. We were on vacation from Minnesota and my dog needed some urgent care. All the staff made my dog more comfortable with great compassion and knowledge! We were back to running on the beaches for the rest of our stay. I would come back again if needed.

I love Dr. Henderson and Shayna took great care of my boy! Everyone was so nice! They took my baby boy in even though they didn’t have any openings. Once I told them his face was starting to swell they told me to come right away. Two shots and some time to see if he would be ok, we both left with a smile on our faces!

Our 1st time was yesterday! Very welcoming! Staff went above and beyond every step of the way ! I was able to purchase a Paw Plan and my dog has been on Apoquel for 5 years, and this clinic offers Cytopoint ! 1 injection every 4-8 weeks !!!! I am very excited about this !!!!! Dr Hunt is a gem and showed a genuine concern and had a great connection w Bird ! Had a thorough annual exam , went over my dog’s bloodwork during the visit ! I am very pleased w every aspect of this clinic !!!!

I thought about this for a good while before deciding what to write. First the good; the whole staff is very friendly and you can tell they truly live their animals. They also did treat my animal successfully, and he is much better for it. That, unfortunately, is where that stops. As nice as the counter staff is they are truly lost, I was initially quoted $1300 for the total treatment. This was to he paid in increments for each individual treatment step. My first bill that went toward this treatment was close to $200. Then the second time I brought him in for a treatment is was to be an overnight stay, when I picked him up the following afternoon, they charged me close to $1200 with no warning to what was being charged to my card. This took place about 2 weeks before Christmas, so I had the cash available, but it made the rest of that season much more difficult. When I asked why all I was told was that it was a mistake but they already charged me. When I came in for his second overnight stay, I spoke with one of the front dest ladies, and she assured me I had paid for the rest of his treatment and there was no balance. Upon his final visit, they gave him his final check and shots and charged me close to $300 only to tell me whoops they over charged me again and that they could add it to my account for a future use. When I went in to use that future use, they told me I had a balance that was the exact same as my last payment and that the over payment had already been applied. I'd watch out when it comes to making payments to them and ensure you closely follow their original treatment plan to what they are doing. From an original quote of around $1300 to almost shelling out 2k is a large discrepancy imo. Just beware of these practices.

Dr Henderson rocks and is number one. But the management is zero. I've been going to this veterinarian clinic for over 30 years and I've never had a problem paying my bill. In fact, I've even paid other people's bill. And now they won't let me break my payments up. They want me to apply for a paw plan? And I understand this is strictly from the new office manager. So now they're only catering to the rich.... I don't agree with that. I think that people that you've relied on that have been coming to you for years and pay their bills should be given the courtesy of not having to apply for a paw plan or outside payment plan. I think an exception should be made for reliable clientele. But the office manager obviously does not and for that reason I really want to give zero stars!
