Please, I implore you, DO NOT shop at this store! I've been in there twice to buy frozen raw food. The first time was fine, though I thought the store was a little dumpy but I had no problems. Yesterday, I went in to see if they had any new food, and to pick up some bully sticks and bones for my dogs. The bin with the bully sticks was full, and they aren't individually-wrapped, and there were bugs crawling through them. And I mean THROUGH them! They were burrowing INSIDE the bully sticks. I made a comment to the girl behind the counter, and she acted like she didn't care. Said they get them all the time, and they just clean them out. Well, I can tell you that they haven't been cleaned out in awhile because there was a pile of dead ones in the corner. Then I open the freezer for the raw dog food and there was an open soda in there. In the freezer, with raw dog food. I about threw up and left, and would rather go off the island to a clean, nice pet store to buy my food than ever go back in there again.

Floppy pets is one of a kind pet store. My children and I fell in love with the store the first time we visited it. The owner is a very nice man and will answer any questions you may have no matter how busy he may be. The prices are reasonable as well. He also has a wide variety of fish, reptiles,birds and so on.

Ummmm... I am not really sure what's going on in this store. We were in Galveston on vacation and needed TOTW dog food. Found them on Google. As we walked in, the smell was overwhelmingly bad. The clerk didn't even greet us and all the products look tired and unorganized. The dog food all had dust on it. I guess the upside is they had the food we needed. We strolled around and all the live animals do not look like they are well taken care of and the building seems to be in disrepair. They could use a lot of help and a store revamp. I guess I am just used to the natural stores we have up here by St. Louis. Sorry Galveston that this is your option. Yuck.

Conditions have improved since I first went in there. Seems cleaner and employee is more helpful now. But I only go from the dog food to the counter. Sometimes they are out of my dog food. But I try to support local business so I will continue to go there unless it gets dirty again.

First impression, disgusting! The fish tanks were in uncleanly condition and a decent sized fish was floating dead. I walked around the store for a good while before the store clerk assisted me. I bought the Crickets-to-Go and all of them died within the first two days. I am very displeased with this store and would not recommend this to anyone.

I like the fish selection but honestly, all their tanks have snails in them (really sucks if your setting up a new tank). Came to their store a week ago and saw that they had greenspotted puffers, asked a guy if he could order pea puffers for me. He said yes. Didnt write anything down such as my name or number and completly ignored me after the fact. Went back to the store, because I had a sliver of hope that the guy took me seriously. This time a woman was there and I asked if they ordered any pea puffers. She said " yes, we have green puffers down the aisle." She didnt know the that those are different species of puffer. Very disapointed with staff and the basic upkeep of their livestock and store. do not go to this store.

Best kept secret on the island if you're a pet-owner. I was ecstatic to find that they carry Taste of the Wild pet food which can only be purchased online or off the island. Great prices too.

This store was very unprofessional, they had 3-4 teenager kids in the store talking extremely vulgar about drug deals, having sex extreme profanity & not only that I was bent down looking at a dog food and water mat on a lower shelf and when I stood up one of the boys had a toy and made a farting sound in my face, then went bragging to his friends. Very rude in my opinion. I was going to buy some things from this store but I completely changed my mind, I'll only go to Petsmart for now on where they value their customers & are very professional and curtious and friendly. Also I called and spoke with the owner of Floppy Pets & he informed me that the 3 young rude teenagers were not employed at this store, just rude young men that he can't get to leave his store & customers alone. Very sad cause this place would have alot more business if these young men would find something better to do with their time instead of causing a ruckus or a scene for no reason. Good luck to the Floppy Pets owner & I hope you get this situation under control for the sake of your business. Angela Commiato

Very friendly staff, great products, decent selection. The staff is very knowledgeable about the needs of the animals they cater to. Refuses to sell foods and treats that would harm the animals in any way, and sells raw products for dogs.

PLEASE don't abandon your animals here!! Floppy Pets is very neglectful towards the animals. I rescued a bunny from them last month that was in a tiny cage (large rabbit) with only pellets to eat. Their main diet consists of hay and pellets, they had no hay for him. Rabbit is white, his whole body was stained in urine. He didn't have any pads or bedding in his cage, just the hard plastic to lay on his own waste. No water inside for him. He's now with me and thriving, but WOW it took so long to get the urine stains out of his fur! Please please consider how they treat their animals. They have lost my business.

Great prices, and awesome veriaties of foods for almost any pet, do wish they had more details on the fish being sold, but staff is fast attentive and professional every time I go in. Would recommend to anyone Shop Local!

tbh it was a mess and one of the most depressing pet stores i’ve ever been too. everything was just piled on eachother like all the products were just tossed on shelves with no care.

One of my favorite places to get fish since they always get new stuff in. Make sure to quarantine since they don't take very good care of them.

I used to go there when they first opened but over time the smell in the store was overwhelming so i stopped going, about a month and a half ago I tried again and was surprised, there was a woman working there who was cleaning and organizing and I was happy because the smell was gone...have returned since then and the horrible smell has returned and there is a guy working there who everytime I come in is just sitting there, he could be cleaning the critter cages..anyway am disappointed so returning to Petsmart
