Drive the extra few miles to Lacy Lakeview or Bellmead. This place has become a self checkout ONLY since they remodeled! You are not giving a choice to self checkout, you have too!!!! The employees are never in the front to help. They are just always just somewhere in the store on their phones!!!!I will never go to this place again. The assistant manager is rude as hell !!!!!I used to go here all the time but since the change and the rude unhelpful employees. I’ll take the drive somewhere else.

Store manager is terrible. Ride if what she says is challenged, if you prove her wrong, she tells you to stop yelling, even if you are not, and will call the cops on you for literally asking questions. Cannot keep basic cooler items in stock, cannot keep any employees more than a few weeks it seems. Drive the extra distance to Family Dollar in Lacy Lakeview on Crest.

Always friendly and helpful staff. It's our little home town country store and you may need to ring the cow bell for cashier. With that being said it is because they are always working to stock the store for you. I know they are not staffed accordingly for customer service but they are not allowed to. So if you don't have a cashier standing there you can find them on floor stocking merchandise and just let them know ready to go. They have been better at having someone up front for faster service.

Cashier was very cheerful and greeted us when my boyfriend and I entered the store. She smiled and checked us out promptly. The store wasn't quite so busy for a Saturday night. We were able to find products easily as store was neatly stocked with no merchandise in the aisles.

Dollar General is a good place to go when you need something really quick. But the one in Elm Mott have been a dissapointment to me several times because of the bad customer service. The cashiers lack people skills and they even charge me 3 times the same product without any refund. Also, management should change all personnel and employ a more diverse team that can understand and help all sort of clients. I will be visiting this location less often from now on, even it being the one nearest me.

Usually has 1 employee doing everything. Staff is friendly but to even check out you gotta search for the cashier as they are usually stocking shelves or in the stock room loading a cart to stock. I guess it helps keep prices down but sure keeps me from shopping here unless I have to for convenience.

They changed everything around in the store and I'm handicapped and it makes it very difficult to have to walk around and look for things! Also they have two or three registers and they only ever have one open in the lines are too long! I hate going to the Dollar Store. I must apologize to the Dollar General in Elm Mott. I thought I was reviewing the Dollar General in Lacy Lakeview on 77 and Craven. That store is a complete and total mess! So when you read this just realized I made a mistake in the locations of the stores and I hope this clear things up

I think Dollar General is the easiest way to get your needed items in a hurry without having to go to a big grocery store. It's always easy to maneuver your cart through the aisles and easy to spot what you need and save money too!

When I walked in no alarms went off. But when I got ready to leave a alarm went off & the cashier asked if I had anything in my purse like a key ring, I showed her my house keys & my car keys both on a separate key rings ( and old key rings ). And then she said " how about your shoes, do you have a wire of some sort in one of them? I said these shoes came from Florida 3 years ago. I am offended by her accusations. And when I left there was NO ALARM going off. WHAT????? I am not a thief & I don't like being treated like one.

Where is the old staff???? Your night crew and new staff members are rude and not helpful. On their cell phones while we are trying to check out and the register is beeping from a card transaction and they need to press a button..... WHY????? Oh well guess I can always shop in West...

Easy in and out, great prices, sometimes the staff is uplifting and sometime they are not. I would say maybe if it was a little brighter and customer service was better I would shop here more often.

The best DG in Waco. It's nice to have a place close to home where you can find so many basics. This DG makes the big difference by far in organization,friendliness and service of staff members and great deals!.

There are a lot of people who rely on Dollar General. Because of Walmart there are very few places for people to shop anymore where they can afford the things that their family needs.
