I go pretty often and for the most part all the cashiers are nice, there's this one new cashier with long hair and pregnant. She's very rude and when customers walk out I've actually seen her talk about several customers.Im sure KEVIN wouldn't like that

The first and last time I come to this awful store.I asked to speak to a manager and was denied. The lady that I asked if I could speak to a manager told me she was a manager and she did not appear to be one. And was very rude and did nothing to resolve my issue.I need to speak to the general manager to find a resolution to my problem I had with this employee and the other issue I initially went to ask for a manager for.The employees are vulgar and have no place working in a family setting store. I seen bartenders act more respectful than the employees who work here.I hope management sees this review and contacts me to be able to bring my issues and concerns to.

an hour agoNEWShoppers check your receipts🤔. Have you ever used a SNAP benefits card at these stores? The store chain imposes a EXTRA 10% even against SNAP food cards. That's 'illegal' in ALL 50 STATES OF THE U.S.🤨Every store before receiving license to be a recipient of the US AGRICULTURE 'food subsidy' program has to adhere by 'the law, the policy and the rules '. Look at your receipt, if you see a 10% surcharge? Your SNAP balance WILL BE CHARGED 10% for your purchase. Thats a form of TAX and SNAP CARDS are 100% TAX EXEMPT NATIONWIDE!!! Debit and credit cards are an exception, but NOT A SNAP CARD. U have a food balance of $200 , u go to these store and but $100 in food. Your balance by right should be $100 left! These stores take a extra 10$ snap food stamps lowering your balance to $90 . THAT IS ILLEGAL!!!! I have alerted the AG in Texas, the Inspector General and the Fed Gov't program abuse investigators. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!👀

The laziest workers to work in a grocery store. The females would rather gossip than check a price. Every cashier has the worst attitude and never a greeting from them. Just the total cost of your purchase, at least. No smile, just looking like they hate life. If they don’t want to work there they need to find another job. Produce is a hit and miss. Personally, I feel this ugly store is too pricey. Horrible horrible horrible!!!

It's unbelievable how the employees are at this store. I go there quite often but I don't feel welcomed at this store. The employees are all stonefaced and never say hello, much less smile. That's why this store is always practically empty!!!! Where's management??? Very disappointed always at this store!!!

This past Sat a.m.I purchased a package of discada. I went home & cooked it and let me tell you. It seemed like they purposely threw a half lb of chili flakes in it. It was not edible so I tossed it. I eat very spicy food but that was overkill. I decided to give them a call and spoke to the Woman who answered. (Was very nice btw)She said I was ok to go get another one. I showed up and now I apparently have to speak to the Mgr in person. Guess what...he wasn't there. Talk about poor service. Not buying that there ever again. I'll go to Zeke's next door and even their quality has gone down over the years.3/27/23 Update- Edward the Mgr was very helpful,courteous, and made things right. He thanked me for coming back....I definitely will be!

Prices are good, some of the quality of the fruits and vegetables are not good here. I wouldn’t recommend to buy your fruits and vegetables here. The store brand milk that is the cheapest has a weird bad taste. They should also have staff clean it smells raunchy and its very unorganized. I would strongly recommend Foodking on Hawkins or up East on Lee Trevino by Hanks High School.

Yesterday I went to King Market and found it very well stocked. In spite of many empty shelves at other stores. Food King was prepared with all shelves well stocked and in it's place. At the checkout I was helped by two clerks that were nothing but polite and cheerful. The gentleman placed my groceries very careful in order to keep anything from breaking or spilling. They were courteous and very attentive to my shopping needs. These type of employees make your shopping experience absolutely wonderful. I will definitely be shopping at this market in the future.

Store closed at “8:30pm”. It was 8:45pm and no signs were posted. The “manager”, short girl with braces, said the signs were taken down at 8:30..hahaha. No customer service skills. Wouldn’t provide her name. Said to call Edwin on monday if I didn’t like it. Edwin!!! Holler back at me.

What a superstore! It has everything, courteous staff, and shelves with a great variety of products. It's possible to find it all. However, it would be helpful, and as a suggestion that Food King would have items to cook sushi, like seaweed and sushi rice, but other than that, Food King is a great and affordable place to go, and the North Loops location is not the exception. Another suggestion, would be a location in inner Horizon. See You in the next review

Great customer service! Majority of the dairy, food items are expired, or expired on 2 or 3 days. I've bought stuff here and they taste bad that so I have to throw away. Prices were really great, now higher than Walmart.

I come to Food King especially for the paper plates and paper cups. Produce is good for sure. Lately any place is better than walmart for produce. I gave it 4 stars because the lines are long and not very many cashiers. If that changes then they would get 5 stars from me.

The food is rather expensive and the quality us much lower than places like walmart who apperantly buy from better farmers. The corn selection was already going bad and had flies all over them. Nice selection of other miscellaneous Mexican products great selection of fruits and vegetables but I would seriously reconsider the price and the quality.

Been finding some good prices on rib eye and prime rib here its no choice cuts meat like at a real butcher or higher end grocery stores but these cuts will do I bought a 3lb prime rib for like 10 bucks and it tasted amazing. I also find pre-made barbacoa and Buche here that stuff is all good 👍 the pre seasoned taco meat players are good too they cone with 3 different options in one buy a beef chicken and pork tray all in one great taco dinner on the quick

They always have signs with the wrong price on it. Found some pork skins chicharrons, the price said 5.51 grabbed a bag and went to check out. When scanned it came it 11.51. Told cashier about sign manager said no your passing 5.51 a lb. Showed sign yo him and said that's per pound so your going to pay the price that was scanned. But that's not what the sign said. This isn't the first time won't shop there no more. Not the first time. Other managers give you the price that it says and changes the sign. This one said do what you have to do your prove is what's rung up. It was today at 1:40. And he was rude. No good experience. He don't want the job give it to someone that does

Very long lines at the checkout lanes. No self-snanning at Food King. Parking on the right side facing Alameda was plentiful. Seems as if "everybody and their brother" wants to park near the entrance, to the left side. Catfood (dry and wet) was a dollar higher than Dollar General and WallyMart. It was 5 o'clock Hump Day but the long lines were a buzz kill. The checkout workers were trying to do quasi-crowd control but the human deluge was too brisk. Men's restroom was sanitary. Lane aisles are a ggod-size. Most of the shoppers were lined up 4 deep.

Lots of produce, some already a little too ripe or rotten, but at a good price. Meat isn't the best quality in the area, but also at a good price. Many ethnic and hispanic food items and a few household odds and ends.

Great savings on many items. There are some others that if you don't notice that are slightly high.But, overall good buys. Personnel are helpful and courteous.
