This is by far (with the exception of Buc-ee’s) the list Texas gas station out there. Groceries, butcher, drinks, store, friendly employees, and extremely clean. This is a place to stop if it happens to be on your route anywhere!

Stop to get a quick bite and decide to get their brisket nachos, yes they where good but I was disappointed at the fact that it ended up being mostly just beans and a little bit of shredded brisket on top, other than that they had nice clean restrooms

Prasek’s is always a good stop when you are on the road. Sweet tea, flavored coffee, tasty snacks, great selection of Texas wine if you forgot a hospitality gift for your hosts. Clean and beautiful bathrooms, friendly staff, and no crowds.Best of all, they don’t use all the annoying billboards that Buccee’s does to entice you to make a pit stop. They have lots of clothing and gifts. Try them— you’ll like this good Czech chain.

It is a great gas/ snack stop. Of course, they have a full meat market , but I just like the meat sticks and some of the snack food or bakery goods. But don't think they just have food , they have wine , great gifts for foodies. You must stop there. They also have hot food and an area to eat it in.

Stopped into Praseks today for lunch on the way to Corpus. Clean restrooms, clean and private baby changing stations in both the men’s and women’s restrooms. friendly staff. Good bakery and big meat market. The BLT looks great. The wife dug in before I could get photos. I had the brisket and sausage with green beans and potato salad. Brisket was tasty but could have benefited from a thicker bark and deeper smoke ring. The sausage was pretty good. Green beans were overcooked and soft. All in all though a pretty good place to grab a bite between Corpus and Houston.

Last time I came with teenage grandkids and got the burgers (5) some with bacon. The bacon was deep fried!!!! Who does that? Especially a smokehouse.Stopped twice this weekend and got the kids' meal (sandwich and a side) both times (wasn't that hungry), in addition to other purchases in the store/bakery. First time I got a slider, but it was not the same quality of the slider in the 3 meal sliders I've gotten for the kids several times. It was a cheap version. The meat was not great, not seasoned and smaller. Then today I asked for the link and it was just SLICED sausage which was not good quality sausage and no bread. I asked and was told it doesn't come with bread or a Tortilla. How is that a sandwich? So I will not be ordering food here again unless I'm hungry enough to eat a full sandwich/meal. Apparently, they think the kid's food doesn't need to taste good or be of good quality.

Love everything on the menu. Jerky is best I've ever had. Brisket sandwich with jalapeño sausage & potato salad is my favorite. Had a smoked pork loin on rye sandwich today. Very good I'll eat that again. The meats they sell are awesome. Try any of the stuffed pork chops.

This is based on my purchases from HEB of their products... I used to love it, and still love the flavor; but it guess bad way too quickly for jerky. This piece was left from a bag 2 weeks ago, and already molding intensely.

The customer service is subpar. NOT ONE employee welcomed or thanked us. The girls were on their phones or talking to each other. Our pastries were hard even after warming them in the microwave. I'll pass on my next trip.

Stopped in for gas and a restroom break. Cool store with a large variety of outdoorsy stuff and a restaurant. The restaurant is not a table service style. You order and pickup your food and take it to your table. I did not eat as it t was too early but the food looked ok. The packages jerky, meats, etc... seemed pretty expensive to me.The outside of the place looks like an old western town. A pretty cool place to stop.

Drove in from Richmond (50 miles) to try out their BBQ ribs but they were already out at 5pm. Ordered the double meat plate. The sides were excellent. The brisket was a little fatty but good. The smoked turkey was better. Tried their desserts, too and they were good. Found the prices to be a little high.

Prasek's is a great place to stop for gas, a quick meal, and its also fun. They have all kinds of jerky, smoked meats, and specialty foods you don't see elsewhere.They have a counter to order brisket plates, sandwiches, etc and their dining area features wild game mounts and a giant aquarium which is fun for the kids.Lots of fun merchandise too. The food was good, the restrooms clean but too bad the staff was horribly rude!!! There was no line, it was not busy so the was no reason for the ugliness we experienced by the attendants at the bbq station and the dessert station. We left without a sweat treat because of the attendant’s attitude.

One great benefit to visiting family in the area is the opportunity to stop at Prasek’s. Been making a point to stop here since way back when it was a much smaller store/gas station. Love the smoked meats and the great assortment of jams, jellies and relishes. If they haven’t run out, be sure to get some of their excellent kolaches.

Stopped by coming in from Houston to buy steaks to throw on the pit . Man came out with ribeyes and a brisket! Good quality meat I must say! If you ever in the area this place has a variety of meats to smoke , grill or whatever.

Best variety of jerky - venison, bison, turkey, beef, and pork. First class beef and pork but not cheap. Fun place to stop off on a drive - Better and more Texan than Buc-ee's. Full menu BBQ, Burgers and more.

Looks like a small Buckees knock off but nice set up plenty of what looks like hm made goodies.. but we ordered a monte crisco& a Philly cheese steak & ended up getting 2 monte criscos.. the husband was a lil disappointed BUT the sandwich was good..

I was disappointed in Prasek’s. I’ve always heard how good it was.I had BBQ sandwich. The amount of meat was small, the bun was tiny n cold, and with a drink it was well over $10.00.I’ll Go to Buc-Cees next time

Well it wasn't bad. But not that great. Why do so many of these places have to season their fries with dragon fire. Come on people you need to ask us "seasoned or un seasoned " not that I don't mind seasoning , but most people can not handle it , so if you are monitoring this smokehouse please be mindful of allergies. Nice store though.

I did not realize that this is listed as a restaurant. I thought it was a Fantastic convenience store. Like a Four Seasons convenience store! An amazing place to stop and refresh. I loved the shopping inside. I highly recommend!!!!

The food was good quality, the the favor of the BBQ Burger, was very good the patty was small and it was on bread slice not a hamburger bun. My wife has to eat gluten free and she was able to get a nice BBQ chicken plate. The atmosphere was friendly and warm. If you are on US59 passing through Hillje it is a perfect place to stop.

Ohmylordt. This place is great, the interior is comforting, they have a wide meat selection, drink selection, snacks, ice cream. We always stop for breakfast and the pancakes & sausage are amazing! These pecan pies are the truth, not too sweet either! Next time dining in for those steaks. Highly recommend for everyone passing by.

Barbecue sandwich was a little chewy, but tasty. Open faced turkey sandwich was GENEROUS & good as were the homemade chips.Clean place, comfortable dining area. We'll mark it as a preferred stop for traveling.
