This Checkers is located inside a Fuel Max Convenient Store. They also have a drive-thru window. The staff is always friendly when we stop in as we travel through Devers, Texas. They have the best fish sandwiches and my husband loves the double fish sandwich. Their fries have the best flavor. Checks burgers taste grilled and are cooked generally when we order them. They are good about having specials that are reasonably priced. My granddaughter love cheeseburgers and says theirs is one of the best for fast food.Parking: It has a large parking area that people who are pulling trailers, lowboy, etc. can park to go inside to eat or just order.

Update:03-17-24 6pm...Driving on the road for hours I decided to stop at my goto Favorite spot. Unfortunately I was faced with "uh we don't got any of that". I asked for confirmation and they were out of Dr. Pepper and the mozzarella sticks I requested. I got the deepest impression the kid just did not want to take any orders. If you wanted to be closed, put the darn sign up than be disrespectful!--------------------------------past review was 5 stars but had to take it away!My favorite stop to grab a quick bite for my trip home. Gotta love those french fries and now a new favorite of mine Mozzarella Cheese sticks. My finger foods of choice being that I drive solo. I have not been disappointed yet!Only one con that I wont let affect the food score(stars)..... The drive-thru is situated funny that you really have to stretch to get your food. The window was placed to close to the curve!!!

This place has the most horrible service. Can’t get a word in while ordering, and the people are rude as hell. Won’t be back.Also and update, ordered the CheeseChamp meal, no lettuce extra cheese (paid for extra cheese). My burger was extra lettuce and no cheese at all.

Make sure you go early it says they close at 9 but at 8:35 they told me they were closed. And they had to have been closed for a while cause I was told the grill was already cleaned along with the fryer. Despite the fact that there were people in line inside.

Waited nearly 15 minutes for my food before getting up to ask what's the problem. After some confusion between coworkers, manager drops two bags of fries and tells me he wanted to give me fresh fries. Yeah, cold burgers but fresh fries. Doesn't make any sense. This isn't fast food anymore. First negative experience with any Checker's though. Also, second time at this location. First one was not as bad but far from good. I just asked for a refund and the manager apologized and gave me my money back.

They make one of the tastiest burgers you can find. And their fries are hands down, the best. If you go loaded fries they get even better. Plenty of menu options and not too expensive make it a go to.

Meh. I could take it or leave it. A few months ago when we moved to the area, Checkers was a welcome surprise in fast food. This time, the fries tasted like old grease. The burger was just OK. I hope the next time we stop in, it will be the Checkers we had grown to love.

I love checkers and after a long day on the road it really hit the spot. The employees were friendly and the food was fast and delicious. This is definitely not mcdonalds.

Quite possibly the worse burger I have ever had. At least I cant remember one worse. The cook was rude and dumpy. He acted like it was an imposition for him to get up from a chair and prepare food. Will not be eating at this particular store again.

This location does not close at 12am. They don’t even close at 10pm like it said on the door when we got there. They close sometime before 9:56pm, apparently. So we drove 15 minutes back the way we came from in order to get food from one of the many places we passed up because we wanted Checkers. Please update your google listing AND website to whatever time before 9:56pm it is that you actually close.

Barley decent service paid 17 dollars for food that didn’t cost much and my order was completely off. Only thing that they gave me right was my drink and the floor was soaking wet and I almost fell about 10 times

Today me and my family went to checkers thinking were gonna get a delightful me,we was wrong. I ordered some buffalo wings and they were uncooked the loaded fries was the only good thing and the lady couldn't even "understand" us but she was not paying attention talking to her friends

Easy to find from the road. Food is made to order not before you order. Yes, you do have to get your food, but it's fresh and hot when you get it.
