We stopped in this Outfitter to rent some Kayaks. The workers were so friendly. They were nice enough to take the time and show us a good place to start our adventures and a good place for my husband and youngest to fish. Their store has lots of neat things. We got several souvenirs while we were there. I tried thier Boozy Cookies. They were very yummy. The husband also got some live bait to fish with. This is a great place to rent from or pick up anything you might need to remember your trip to the Frio.

Nice outfit. Friendly staff and reasonable prices to float the river. They also have lots of neat stuff in the store. We floated the shorter, more relaxed run because we had two kiddos who were nervous. Turned out to be very tranquil and shallow in areas...had to walk thru. Lots of fun, not crowded and lots of friendly folks out on the river. We'll definitely recommend Josh's to our friends.

We had the best first trip to the Frio River thanks to Josh's. We rented tubes and got shuttle rides to the river for a reasonable price. They were open for fourth of July and Tessa, the owner not only posted her cell phone on the website, but also responded promptly via text early in the a.m. Our family will be back to Josh's for sure!

Such a cute store!!We visited the Frio location during a long weekend trip. The owners were amazing and so sweet to our entire crew. When we asked about shirts in sizes for the little ones, after they looked and didn’t find any, they suggested another store I could find them at. You don’t see a lot of that these days. Their coffee shop is adorable and was exactly what I need to get me ready for the drive home with a suv full of kids! We will definitely be stopping by again on our next trip!

I have used Josh’s for a few years for tube rental and shuttle and I have always had a great experience. What stands out is that their staff is always very nice, especially the guys doing the tubes and shuttle. On our last trip in July 2021, Brody helped with our shuttle and he was very pleasant to talk to, even as it got closer to the end of the day. I left our cooler at the outfitter before we began our float and Indy came a dropped off the cooler at our put-in spot. That is some good customer service. Many thanks to Josh’s and their staff, will continue to use them over other outfitters!

Absolutely hands down the best outfitter!!! Store is amazing and cute! Rode the pink bus and we all fit comfortably instead of smashed into the bus like other outfitters do. The younger kids helping with the tubes etc were extremely kind and respectful and actually engaged in conversation with you instead of being rude. The water shoes they carry are they best! When we floated the water was a little low but we still had fun!

Great staff! We rushed in thinking we would not get the last ride out and they made time for us. Pick up was quick and easy as well. Only wish they would have warned us that the water was low and no current. We had 4 hours to float before they picked us up, if we wouldn't have swam or walked most the way we would have missed our pickup. This was our first time tubing this area so we were not as informed as we should have been. But the store is super fun, lots of things you can buy, everything you might need!

They carry OluKais which are a favorite of mine. Needed a new pair of water shoes and stopped in. Glad we did so. Good selection of goods and wife got a flavored coffee while we shopped.

In all my years of coming to the Frio, this is the first time I have used an outfitter for my floating experience. Josh’s is 5 star on products offered, customer service, and floating experience!! I was nervous at first as to how this works, but the ladies at the front desk where stellar with all the questions I asked. The guys that took us to the river, and that were there waiting for us when we arrived at the end were top notch as well. As a small business owner myself, I love when businesses go above and beyond for customers. Josh’s has definitely earned my business for years to come!! Thanks for the great Frio experience!

Did the Rio Frio half day float a few weeks ago. We all had a blast. Showed up for the early slots and arrived right as they opened around 9 AM. $15 for float and ride to/from the store to the river.In the midst of our adventure, we floated past our pick up spot and ended going to the swimming hole?! Fortunately, a local noticed we looked lost and let us use their cell. A quick call and few minutes later, one of the guys from Josh's picked us up and took us back to the store.As an added bonus, we got to meet Josh too. He was very friendly and understanding which made us feel better about our mistake. Definitely recommend floating the Frio with Josh's. We will be back hopefully next year with more of our friends and family.Thank you for a memorable experience.

We love tubing the Frio with Josh's! They are amazing and so accommodating! We had a trip planned for the beginning of May and even though they weren't open for the season yet, they accommodated our group of 14 and opened just for us so that we can go tubing! They didn't have to do that, but they did and we were just in awe that they went out of their way for us. Their customer service is exceptional! We just came back from a second trip this past weekend and we went to them yet again and had another great experience with them! We go tubing yearly and for the last 2 years, they have been our go to (only because we just started tubing down the river. Before we would just pick a spot and spend the day there) and we will continue to come back to Josh's. Highly recommend!

This place had the nicest staff and a great store. The drivers were courteous and helpful loading and unloading tubes. I wish I could give them 6 stars!!!! When people leave bad reviews of this place and it says the River was low we walked or the tube trip wasn’t fun..... keep in mind that has NOTHING to do with this great business and staff!!!! We will be back and they have earned out repeat business. No better place to tube from on the Frio...

Great customer service definitely coming back!From​ the last minute accommodation by the staff because our gps got us lost, to all the helpful tips provided to my wife and i, since we were total rookies when it came to tubing. This staff is super friendly and never once made it feel like we caused an inconvenience. Josh the owner is very hands on, taking all the calls we made this weekend. His staff were also great at providing us local tips to check out on the river and afterwards for dinner. I look forward to bringing my family out here when they come to visit. Thanks for helping this family make new memories! :)

Super friendly folks and helpful. Went for a kayak adventure on the frio with my wife. Shuttle service to and from the river was provided. We had to wait a bit at the pick up point, but that spot is full of locals (or at least river folk) and is a great swimming locale. Would use again.

Experience was okay. Stayed in leakey and went to the store there and visited the bigger one. Didn't find sizes we wanted in either store but was told cause it be end of season. My bf wanted a shirt cause his name being Josh. Disappointed on the selection but did come out with worth getting water shoes.Hopefully next time we can find our sizes.

Make sure you get a receipt! If you don’t and their system messes up they will turn your image over from security footage to the local sheriff, even though your card WAS charged and THEIR employees told you so and that you were all good to leave. The local sheriff will then pass the image around town to the locals looking for you and when he finds you he will treat you like a thief with absolutely no rights. He will threaten you and hold you hostage until Josh shows up after he personally calls him to come to the inn your staying at. He will then force you to give this man cash, even though you already paid for your items. It’s a scary experience I don’t wish on anyone so use caution at either one of their locations.

Great place. We got there and got tickets and were on the shuttle in less then 15 min. The shuttle picked us up within 10 minutes hours later after the float. Impressed. I'd recommend this place.

#lovelock is a cute new thing they are doing similar to the famous bridge where you buy a lock, leave with an inscription on a balcony railing and also has river supplies and a little coffee/ice cream shop. We stopped in as we were headed out last minute and I am so glad we did, last year I don't remember the locks and it was perfect timing to leave a little of us at one of our favorite places to be!

If there were NEGATIVE stars that's what it would be, they are a Huge RIP off!! Ugly rude nasty 2 girls there at register, were horribly rude and nasty to my mother in law. Because the shoes she bought then tried on in truck in parking lot, they refused to take back. And were snicking and laughing about it..Also, the 2nd WORST thing that made it the worst experience down here on vacation, was they charged us $21.99 (before taxes) for the same thing 1 min down rd from them, cost us $8!!!!!Everything they had is that over priced with everything per, 1 MIN down rd. At the next store, Not Exaggerating in the least.DONT GO HERE, IT IS HORRIFIC
