Although I used to Love HEB Lately with the current economy and trying to make our Dollar stretch as far as possible we have found that Kroger has saved us so much and has made grocery shopping bearable again We needed a few things last week and HEB is closer so we stopped by and one of the things we got was Blackberries. Our entire family LOVES them daily. Seen commercials for the “Sweet Karoline” so we picked up a package What an absolute MISTAKE They are terrible, bitter, not ripe at all, crunchy hard and overall plain nasty Pay less a d get the Driscolls brand See pics for comparison

We shop via phone, very good service, one time though a guy just threw my groceries in the back of my car. I wasn't too happy with him, but everyone else has been very helpful. Without asking, one time this one guy put my fridge food in the bags I had in the back of my car. Very pleased with him.

This store is like a Fiesta. It caters to the Hispanic community, which is fine to be inclusive, except when the quality of store set up, products, and customer service starts to decline. It feels like going to the flea market. There's already an HEB in North Bryan that is set up for mostly Hispanic foods and bulk shopping. I drive all the way to CS for better stores.The cashiers are lazy, Inattentive, and rude.There's a lady that sets up her Elote cart right by the entrance. She is blocking the area for customers, especially handicapped. She sits there on her phone, yelling and arguing in spanish. Her cart needs to be moved over away from the entrance.The crawfish boil and bbq are pretty good here.The wine dept is well supplied.The management is horrible here. Time for a change.

Been better the last few months I've seen . The staff on the floor r friendly when u need help.Question! How come we never get any of your chocolate pies or see them out in the deli or coconut pies , cupcakes ?We never see any out r banana breads.Thanks

I overall enjoy this HEB location. I’ve been utilizing the curbside function as of late, and it takes most of the stress away from shopping in-store. There may be occiasional issues with getting a spot, but the staff are always friendly and take care with your items and even have the occasional conversation! Overall I enjoy this HEB, not too flooded with students, has great produce and deals, and surprises me with the small things time and time again.

The African American bagger name who starts with D is very nice, respectful, and bagged my groceries properly. He is the sweetest guy you ever want to meet, offer me carry out and very fast at bagging. He also tells me how much he loves to work at HEB and was happy to be part of an amazing company, that smile as well. I want to thank him for everything from offering the help, the conversation while bagging my groceries and also having that great customer satisfaction. Keep up the good work.😁

Friendly, hard-working staff. Huge varied inventory. Good selection of international foods. Boomer music contributes to the good ambiance.Several years ago, I left my tablet in the cart when carrying out my groceries. A male CSA somehow figured out it was mine and *sprinted* into the parking lot, intercepting me at my vehicle to return the tablet.Another time, at self-checkout, I said quietly to myself that I forgot to use some dollar-saving offer. Oh, well. But an *off-duty* cashier purchasing something in self-checkout overheard me, offered to take my coupons and receipt to customer service, and returned with cash in hand.The gentleman stocking produce in the early morning is always cordial, and the produce is fresh. (The scales with printers are a good timesaver.) There must be an art to stacking irregularly shaped fruit and vegetables.A young woman gathering groceries for curbside was gracious about answering a question about an item location. (Now the MyHEB app gives aisle locations.)A CSA patiently explained a function of the MyHEB app.HEB management, I hope you show your outstanding employees the proper appreciation they deserve.

I like heb. I specially like this one. Lots of variety. They also have a nice selection of beer, which is very important for my SO and me. But like every other grocery store, they do like to upcharge everything. They have curbside and delivery but everything is more expensive if you go that route. As an added note, the Chinese place they have inside serves some pretty decent food. So if you're in a hurry and hungry, get a six pack of your favorite brew and pick up some chicken and broccoli and you're good to go!

Best place in Bryan and College Station for beer selection of rare releases and microbrews by far. Better selection than any local liquor store (Specs, Twins, Total wine), grocery or any other HEB. If you are looking for something you have not tried (and willing to spend $ to get it - they have all the expensive releases) this should be your first stop. Note my 6 photos do not overlap, they actually have this many different beers.Otherwise for groceries: Overall I love HEB in general; this one on Villa Maria in Bryan has less selection than the three other stores in College Station (Tower point HEB is best for groceries IMHO), but is still a good store and always fresh food and decent prices. Lots of good meat but go to CS for selection of diverse cuts or specialty.Clientele are real working people, not bougie with very few college students, and they mask up (I think a positive). I go to this location once a week.

When I got my pickup order the girl putting my groceries in the car was very rude I always make a point to be polite and she was just not having it… my potato’s were set on top of my eggs and every bag was tied in knots ….never had a problem at this H‑E‑B but that was bizarre behavior… maybe make sure your employees are okay before they deal with customers

UPDATE:Stopped in to pick up a few items on a Wednesday afternoon. They have done a bit of reorganizing and updating which seems to have added a bit of space in the most well-traveled areas of the store. Love it!*****†***********************We did a bit of shopping on a Sunday morning around 10:30AM. It was a little crowded but not too bad.Everything was well stocked and reorganized since my last visit. Looked nice. Our cashier and save were very pleasant.And they had turkey cranberry pecan salad! Delish!

I have been shopping at this H‑E‑B and it has just continuously gone down hill. It started getting really bad in 2019. There is practically no showtime department. I have seen samples offered once since March of 2020. The inside of the store is filthy. I started doing curbside a few months ago to avoid the long lines and such inside the store and tonight I came to pick up my curbside order within my time slot and could not even get into a curbside parking spot after waiting for over 30 minutes. This store needs a new manager and a visit from corporate. It is in such bad shape compared to the others in Bryan/ College Station. Also love seeing the same few employees playing on there phones/ congregating with each other every time I’m here rather than helping customers and cleaning up.

I ordered from HEB on villa maria in Bryan Texas yesterday and when I got my order, I was missing a few items. But I was fast in giving a bad review. Because today HEB called me, because they were concerned about me not getting all of my items, and not because of the review that I posted. The gentleman was very respectful and concerned about my missing items and he offered to replace the missing items or to give me a refund. I told him that I would have rather get my items because I would have ordered them again. He told me that he was going to send me my missing items today around 12:30 he said I will have my items. I offered to pay for delivery but he wouldn't let me. HEB made everything right they went up and beyond to get me my items. I just want to say THANK YOU HEB.I will not jump to make a bad review, without talking with the wonderful Team at HEB. Thank you all again

She runs a tight ship but she always finds time to smile and say hello to her customers and employee's! Always have been an HEB fan.And I happened to find the best toilet to get. It is put out by H-E-B. And it is a no waste toilet paper. It has a roll inside of the bigger roll that is a roll to go. And even better it's a three play toilet paper. And it's just as soft as charmin.

Got we needed and got out quickly even though the place was busy it is well laid outUpdate 3/12/22Curbside service is a great addition to the store esp. In the pandemic. If you don't need it right away it's generally a free service and everything is loaded into your car. If you need the items same day it's usually a 5$ charge which I feel is reasonable. They notify you of substitutions via text and give you the opportunity to remove them or call the store to ask questions or give a specific request. All in all heb in general is a great store chain.Update to the update 1/11/24Not much has changed in the last two years they have expanded their curbside parking which is nice to not have to try to back out where a lot of the come and go traffic is. Occasionally it takes longer than usual but that is usually because they are busy

I ordered a curbside delivery had some hiccups that morning where I couldn’t pick up a few weeks ago. (This review is dated).The associate who answered my call was so kind & transferred me to either a mgr or supervisor above her. I wish I could remember her name I know it starts w a “P”. Maybe Phaedra.. idk. I just want to say thank you for your kind service and getting my ordered delivered to me without any issue and it was on time! Customers service at an all time high.

We shop this HEB regularly, and use curbside pick up all the time. Tonight, I had a pick up order for 9:00-9:30. I checked the store hours and it states they are open until 11:00. I get there around 9:50, text the number, and receive a text that curbside closes at 9:00. Even though I could pick up my order until 9:30…. I call the store and while wait for someone to answer, FOUR employees walk outside or by the doors, look at me and don’t even bother to help me. I’m obviously confused, and they proceed to turn the lights off in the curbside area. The timing aspect is not even the big deal here. It was a complete error, I’m sure. But the rude employees, not okay.

Does the store care more about curbside deliveries than instore shoppers? Is that why employees speed around behind tall carts they can't see over, causing shoppers the need to jump out of the way, or be plowed down.New post saw five employees standing around tell people where to check out, I had zero baggers. UPDATE: So, one member of my household is all about H-E-B. I went with him tonight and was pleasantly surprised by Southwest egg rolls from the deli section, made in-store. Grab a side of their store-made ranch dressing and one of their salsa sides! Very tasty! I think their hand-beaten tortillas are 2nd only tp Papasito's...they've improved their self check-out registers, as well...good job!UPDATE-ISH: Nothing has changed. Self check-out is still monotonous and pales in comparison to Wal-Mart's user-friendly efficiency. They kids, whose grandparent I could easily be, are as robotic and impersonal as the armored truck guards they seem trained to imitate--from their steely demeanor and watchdog presence to their expression-free unfriendliness I've tried to give this chain another chance, but I just don't get it's allure. I can't shoot comfortably or effectively here,and their products are not appealing to me...nothing screams "buy me"...it's savings program falls short of the rewards/digital coupon combo that is Kroger's ace-n-the-hole. Of the 2 things they once offered of interest to me, only one survived post-Covid lockdown nonsense: the buttered flour torts. The 24/7 store hours , like Wal-Mart's are gone forever. Not the retailer where I'll ever be dropping my $400/week for my household of 3...From the hectic parking lot to the unfriendly staff (if you aren't going to be approachable, even a weak smile would suffice), why these stores are such a TX staple is beyond me. They have 2 things going for them: charitable owners and pre-made, grab-and-go foods ideal for students, who seem unaware there are other grocery stores in the area, and lunch crowds.
