A spark left the earth today for us as we mourned the passing of a cherished member of our family, our beloved Flower. She had a vibrant presence that brought joy and laughter into our lives for an incredible 17 years. Flower was not just a cat; she was a radiant spirit, a mischievous soul wrapped in fur. Her quirks were uniquely hers, with her fondness for plastic, her curiosity with paper, and her insistence on claiming boxes as her throne. In her own whimsical way, Flower reminded us to find delight in the simplest of things. She was a maestro of meows, especially when she felt the need to remind us of her presence throughout our home. We are also incredibly grateful for the Bay City Animal Clinic for their unwavering commitment and care to Flower in her time of need. Rest peacefully, sweet Flower, and know that your memory will forever live in our hearts. ❤️ 🐱

We called the emergency number listed on the website & left a voicemail, after our hunting dog severely injured her paw before regular Saturday hours. The on-call vet called back within 1 minute! She was extremely calm & reassuring, gave me instructions on wrapping her leg for the 35 minute car ride, as well as what to do when we got to the clinic. We arrived right at 8am when they opened and there were already 3 ladies at reception busy working & helping customers. They said they had been expecting us. After some brief paperwork (we had never been seen there before) a tech met me at the ER door in the back to help unload her. We spent only a few min in the room so she could assess the situation before taking her back for surgery. I immediately felt confident that I was leaving her in great hands. I couldn’t have had an experience that went more smoothly, it was as close to perfect as an emergency can be from start to finish!!! To top it off, the final bill was extremely reasonable! We live northwest of Houston, but plan to start taking our pets there on a regular basis, since we are in the area often.

I’ve been taking my dog here for years and this is the only place I’ll ever take him. Not only are the staff so warm and welcoming they are extremely helpful and understanding. The veterinarians always do a thorough look at my pup to make sure he’s at his best health and if I’m having an issue they are very knowledgeable and give me amazing advice ❤️ I can’t give this place enough stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ thank you so much to all the staff for being good to us.

First time here. Large open space hospital with a variety of food & other pet items available. Vanessa greeted me at reception, so friendly! We were early, but seen immediately! No wait. Dr. Sherman was friendly, professional, and very thorough on his diagnosis. Butterz will be scheduled for knee surgery. Highly recommend! UPDATE* Butterz TPLO Surgery was a big success, and he is back to his happy, pain-free self!

A very friendly staff that takes care of your Fur-babies. We had an after hours emergency, and they met us at the Clinic when they said they would be there, and stitched up our dog. Even though they are not near us (40 min drive) we will always go to them even with clinics closer to us.

I can’t say enough great things about Bay City Veterinary Clinic & Equine hospital. Five years ago, we took a stray we found in Sargent, TX. to have it checked out. They took such good care of us and her, we started taking all three of our other dogs to them! They are so awesome, we drive all the way from Houston to BC for our annual appointments and K-9 needs. The dogs enjoy the car ride and they are so excited when we go in for our appointments. The few times we have needed emergency appointments, they have always accommodated us very urgently. You won’t find the knowledge, experience and customer service anywhere in a veterinary clinic in the Houston area. I have had pets all my life and have never had the experience that BC Veterinary Clinic & Equine Hospital provides their customers. They even have an online pharmacy that ships us our medication directly to our home. They are the BEST!!!!

Our cat was having a minor emergency during Easter weekend. I called on Saturday and even though they were booked they worked us in. The vet took their time working with our boy and explaining everything and figuring out what the problem was. Everyone was super friendly and genuinely cared about our boy and not that it was past closing time on the weekend. I was expecting double the bill that we got so that was a pleasant surprise. We got amazing care and our sweet boy is back to himself again.

While staying at Matagorda Beach we had a pup that showed signs of distress. As it turned out he had bladder stones that had to be emptied and cleared. 11 stones were found. Dr. Marquardt and Hanna did such a great job with our Buddy. We did have to extend his stay to try and get him to eat and recheck his bloodwork.When Buddy's blood work was back to normal he came home and was happy for it. Shortly after, his appetite was back to normal and he seemed to like the new food.Thank you BCVC!

I love this place! We drive 90 minutes from Houston because it's worth it. The prices can't really be beat as far as affordable vet care goes. The only thing I found a tad bit high in cost was the spay and neuter services, but I am too far to utilize those anyways. Other surgery quotes from them were all very reasonable. They had said $400 to remove a mammary tumor in my dog, and I have heard $1000 from others. I also love the app and the chat option. It's great for advice and setting appts! Everyone who works here is very warm and welcoming. Great Vet!

I usually see Dr. Lucy at Matagorda Vet, but I had an emergency today where my little guy was munching on a glass Christmas ornament. Yes, I know it's JULY. Well, we were in the room being seen 5 minutes after I got there. They didn't judge me for crying (just a bit, forgive me), or at least I don't think they did. Attaching a picture of the receipt; an emergency visit for under $200. Not bad at all. You can see from the photo how much an emergency appointment costs, how much the xray cost, etc. Keep in mind this is for a tiny dog.

We have taken our pets to Bay City Veterinary Clinic for many years. The vets are all very caring and loving with our pets. They seem to understand how much we love our little fur babies and treat each one of them very special. They are knowledgable and take excellent care of our pets when they are sick. Five stars isn't enough for these guys - they should get 10 stars. And by the way, Josh Shields is our favorite vet but they are all great!
