Made the trek over to Lake o’ the Pines and the The Lakehouse Cafe for chaffles. Brad had the biscuits & sausage gravy, which looked epic.This place is a gem and owned by LEO Renee Murphy— 10/10 recommend!Dietary restrictions: The Low Carb Chaffles (cheddar waffles made with almond flour) are a savory treat!They’ll also make a Chaffle breakfast sandwich if you want. It’s not on the menu but it’s a delicious option!

First I want to say the food was hot and big portions. The waitress was very unfriendly and unsocialable and I believe she made a back hand remarks about myself being over weight. I have chronic congestive heart failure, I can not walk far without being out of breath. I do it anyway. After sitting down I tried to engage her several times in conversation. I was with my Husband and 2 grandsons, which noticed her bad attitude at the beginning. I know all the locals probably think she is awesome, I just wish we could have witnessed that on our vacation.

The Lakehouse Cafe (or, "The Cafe", as it was known in past years), has been a staple of the Mims Chapel/Crestwood area for decades. The folks here are like family to us, and there is absolutely no better place to get the BEST catfish you've ever eaten.Renee took on a huge responsibility and legacy when she stepped into the shoes of owner, but she has carried it on perfectly.Thank you guys for always being so amazing!

Holy homemade goodness Batman!!! This place doesn’t have a bad dish! Great food, generous portions & fantastic service. Louise was the sweetest server & we will definitely be back!! Angela perfectly breaded my chicken fried chicken, the salad bar was super fresh & bonus, it comes with dessert!!! Brandy was Johnny on the spot making sure our table & the restaurant stayed clean!! Can’t get better! Phenomenal hole in the wall! My absolute favorite!!UPDATE: the carrot cake bonus, with its moist cake & creamy frosting is the stuff dreams are made of…not even kidding y’all.

We enjoyed our catfish dinner so much on Friday night that we came back for breakfast on Sunday. The food was so tasty and the portions were huge! Rene and her team were very friendly and welcoming, answering some of our questions about the area. They have big plans to keep updating the menu as well so we will be coming back for sure! We love their menu! Good coffee and tea. Great veggie plate...huge selection of vegetables. Several meals for 7.50 that include drink and dessert. Homemade steak finger basket is perfect! The servers are sweet and well mannered. Breakfast is spot on!Kid-friendliness: Kids Breakfast menu is great!

My husband and I stopped for the night in the area, and chose to try The Lakehouse Cafe. We ate burgers , fries and onion rings for lunch on Saturday , and they were absolutely wonderful! We returned for breakfast on Sunday morning, and were again wowed!! Be prepared for a feast!Renee, the owner, as well as Samantha and Louise, the servers, are outstanding in their friendliness, great customer service, and we can’t wait to come back to Lake ‘O The Pines, and eat at The Lakehouse Cafe! Such unique and wonderful menu items! Wish we could have tried more!

Wow!!! This is a local legend. Not any other places to eat in this neck of the woods. You would think service and food would be subpar. It’s not. Rebecca treated us like we were kings. They have a big selection of country food. This place is worth traveling to. Don’t pass it by if your in this neck of the woods.

Food was great! It came out quickly (dining with a 3 year old this is important). Staff was friendly. Cozy inside. Plenty of parking even towing a trailer.Parking: Fairly large and open parking area. Made parking with our boat trailer easy. Kid-friendliness: Good selection on kids menu, fast service.

I asked a question about the hamburger basket. I'm legally blind, and with the hearing aids, I still don't hear very well. Then I had to wait for takeouts that came in after me, so I had to wait. Finally, someone gave me a menu. People came in after I came in, got seated, and got to order before I did. I'm a big guy, so how can you miss me? I live close to Dawson Corner, so, trying to support our county business, I drove out of the way to do this. I won't do that again.

AS Of, Jan 2024. New Owners again..so older reviews, on here do not apply, there are New better prices... New Menu.. photos of specials posted locally, are not from the meal cooked.. people are nice and learning.. only good reviews are kept on local posts, one of mine about complaint on food was taken down by them. instead of addressed. will try food again but never take out until I learn if I like the dish I get.
