We had a double queen, pet friendly room, which had all the things a room normally has. We were satisfied with the room, the price, their employees, and the area we we're in. We always want to stay in Townsend, TN, and we tried where we normally stay, but their pet friendly cabin and rooms were booked. So we tried The River Breeze Inn, and they had what we needed at a great price. Very good place to stay overall.

First off our room (10/11/23) was in a nice location, a little dated but big enough and the staff was very nice. Unfortunately our room was very dirty, after walking on the floor our feet were black, closet had tiles and doors from renovation we’re assuming in it and just prior to leaving roaches were crawling out from under the lamp on the desk! We would not make a return trip.

This is the second time I've stayed here, first right after Christmas. I have enjoyed it both times. It's quiet and peaceful. It's not crowded and actually secluded in Building 2. The rooms are clean and efficient, the staff is so welcoming and amazing. The bed was comfy, the pool clean, refreshing, and cool. My kids and grandkids enjoyed it as well. I will definitely make this my place when I come from now on!!

My friend and I booked one night here for a quick Smokies trip - it was exactly what we were looking for. Reasonable price, easy to get in and out and park, CLEAN, comfortable, and had fridge/microwave. We didn't try their coffee as we wanted to be in the park very early and brought our own. We are grateful for the housekeeping and management staff who helped us get back a valuable item we accidentally left in the room - they really went above and beyond to help us out - great people! We also found it convenient to go just a little piece up the road to the Quiet side Social for excellent food and craft beer. We were glad to make use of the walking path that runs right in front of hotel after eating so much! Would stay again and would recommend to a friend.

The office staff were incredibly welcoming. The room was very clean and accommodated our needs. The locks on the doors are basic keys and not electronic. We had a comfortable stay. For a motor inn it’s top notch. I do hope the outdoor pool gets a good cleaning here soon for the tourist season though because right now it’s really green and dirty.

Rooms are dated but clean. Great location! But smoking is allowed outside the rooms and the ac units suck the smell into to rooms. Gave it a 3 for this reason.Noteworthy details: Smoking outside the rooms is awful.

We were on our way through from a stay at a resort on Hilton Head Island and made a compulsory decision to stop and stay in the Great Smoky Mountains for a day. Albeit this motel is not one of the worst places we've ever been and was a place to spend the night when we couldn't find anything else, we weren't at all impressed. We won't be staying here ever again.

We booked with the Townsend River Breeze Inn and the staff was very courteous and professional. Unfortunately our visit had to be cancelled due to an unforeseen family emergency. We called and expected to pay a cancellation fee however there was not one. Very nice management and we will definitely give them a try if we are in the area again soon!

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover! This Inn was Great. Extremely clean, plenty of towels, comfy beds, coffee pot & coffee provided in room, friendly staff and the price was very reasonable for visiting the Smoky Mountains in October. One complaint- bathroom was extremely small and toilet was “LOW” for our senior citizens bodies. Our stay was for 4 nights in a quiet area of a town called Townsend TN. Just 1 mile from the entrance of the park. Perfect. We will return.

The location was good. We spent a lot of time in Cade's Cove and this motel was close. The furniture was worn but in good shape. However, be prepared to do your own housekeeping. A small garbage bag of towels and accessories is placed in the rocking chair by your door. It is your responsibility to do the rest. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and pleasantly answered any of our questions.

Hotel is a great place for families, groups or couples who want to get away for some peace and quiet. Location is perfect only 20 miles from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge with spectacular mountain view for cheaper price. Beds are very comfortable, family owned that go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable, peaceful and share best of the best for fun things to do in the area. We visit every year 2-3 times with friends and also family reunions is perfect place for chilling by fire, chilling by the pool and great family memories.

Room was clean and comfortable. I like the laminate flooring vs carpet any day! Only negative was the tub faucet leak but they pay the water bill, not me.. lolNearby activities: Cade's Cove is a place we love to visit every year (if not twice a year!). In the spring there's always a chance of seeing black bears and in the fall, the colors will take your breath away! Plenty of good places to eat, a few souvenir shops and a beautiful drive to Pigeon Forge if there isn't enough for you to do in Townsend.

The lady at the front desk was very sweet and pleasant to speak with. The floors were clean and the rockers and outdoor area was nice. Other than that we had a difficult stay here. The sheets had some stains, but I could tell they were still clean, just old. It was still a yucky feeling. The biggest issue was the AC. It had two temperatures freezing or off. That doesn’t do well in Tennessee in July. We either couldn’t sleep because it was cold or couldn’t sleep because it was boiling. We actually consider med leaving at 2am and making our 11 hour drive home because of how impossible sleeping was. I guess you get what you pay for. In a milder season I would consider staying there again. It wasn’t horrible and maybe we just got a faulty ac unit.

Wanted to do some hiking in GSMNP and Townsend is the perfect choice. It's quite, and 2 miles from the park. I just needed a place to sleep and Townsend River Breeze was the best priced in the area. I saw all the good reviews and booked a 5 night stay. The room was very clean (cleaned daily), updated, and quiet. I definitely recommend this place!

Kinda weird noises at night..hehe. Very clean plce..The shower was the best good hot water and pressure. We paid when we got here and pretty much didn't see anyone after that. I liked it not being bothered all the time. Very good firm bed asked for extra blanket and kept it really cold good sleep. The newer rooms have views and stuff but I asked for handicapped room very big.parking right out of the door No special bars in the shower but doable if you are just slow and health and back problems. Fridge is little microwave and a srove top with two eyes..a few little dishes to help you out. Coffee pot. Bring your hairdyer. I didn't bring mine. Not outrageous.overall good visit here. Some good eating near by and yes Dollar General is close..lol

This little Hotel is Awesome! Stayed in Gatlinburg 2 nights then came here. Wish I had stayed here the whole Time. It is obvious the owners love this hotel and keep it up. It is a nostalgic little roadside in. Quiet and peaceful. My king suite had a view of the big bridges on the Smokey mountain foothills parkway up on the hill in the distance. I will return!! The prices are very fair as well. There are several great places to eat nearby as well.

Great older Motel close to everything and nice views from the rocking chairs in front of your room. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished along with two swimming pools also. The office staff are some of the best around. But, don't expect to sleep in on vacation as their cleaning staff will wake you talking loudly and banging their carts around. Ps: Wifi signal is strong but slower than an old dialup from the 90's lol

Spent two nights tent camping at Elkmont to see firefly event. Spent only one night at River Breeze but was very pleased with how immaculate this place was. Even the pool area was spotless. The room had everything we needed and a balcony with mountain and sunrise views. Mattress a little soft for bad backs but everything else perfect.

Went on a 4 day vacation with family. Spent 2 days at this place and we absolutely loved it. From an outward appearance, it doesn't look too great, but this place is nicer than some holiday inns once you're inside the room. I was insanely surprised with how cozy the beds were. The shower worked fine, and there was a mini fridge and microwave as well. Outside each room were 3 nice wooden rocking chairs to chill in. The pool was literally right by our room, but it was closed obviously due to the season....but it looked upkept. We had neighbors in the room next door, but they weren't loud, thank heavens. Nothing more unsettling than loud lovers next door when you're on a family vacation, haha.Id love to stay at this place again, and I really enjoyed Townsend, TN.Overall experience- 8.8* score would be in the 9's if the air conditioner wasn't hard to figure out. (Only flaw the room had). 1st night there was a bit hot, til I got it figured out
