If you are in the area of Tellico Plains you need to stop in at the Iron Works Grille! The food is amazing and the service is impeccable. The staff is friendly and so accommodating to us when we asked could they set us up a table for lunch after our wedding on the Hiwassee River. The food was great and a special thank you goes to Maison for being the best server ever!!!!!!

Being from out of state, my family and I were looking for a place to eat that would accommodate my soy allergy. When I called, they reassured me that while they used soy oil in the fryer and on the grill they could make accommodations if necessary.The cook himself came to the table to reassure me that he was taking necessary precautions while cooking my burger to make sure I didn’t get sick. I didn’t feel like an inconvenience in the slightest and my burger was so good!!The view is incredible and the service was amazing! My family had a great time!

Busy place close to the river.We ordered a beer, that we never got.After a while when we tried again, all of a sudden the friendly waitress tells us they ran out of food and consequently couldn't serve us .I understand it was a busy day but couldn't they tell us right away.We'll try again next time.

Good location with a great view and that’s about it. It’s a popular location with bikers and car groups. The fried pickle and the shrimp appetizers were good. The burger was just ok, but the side of pork rind was great. The service was pretty bad. Some friends of a waitress was there visiting her when she was working. And I literally heard that waitress said she wishes she’s not here right now…

I would like to give a shout out to Ironworks Grill. My father in law and I walked in last night at 8:50 PM (after driving back from Blount Hospital). The waitress verified that the grill was still open (because they close at nine on a Friday night?) Anyways, they said yes, if they could hurry up and get our order. My father-in-law had went to the bathroom during this time and by the time we sat down and they got our order. It was like 8:55. They did not make us feel rushed, we got our food… Spicy chicken sandwich for the fries and a classic hamburger with fries. We left about 9:30 and they did not make us feel rushed at all! I will also add that with a 20% tip, I still got out of there less than $30. I just wanted to give them a recognition and brag on them and thank them!

The only way this place survives in my opinion is because of the location and Harley shop across the street.They actually make a black n blue burger with blue cheese dressing! They only cook everything well done. Fried green tomatoes are frozen not fresh. Nothing fresh but the salad in the place. The service was very good although the girl couldn't tell me if things were out of the box or made fresh. She told me everyone leaves the potato salad so it must be out of the tub. Lol.Way over priced for the non fresh food.The atmosphere is wonderful and the view is great. Service was good.

Food is good if you can get it. We are locats, live 10 min away. Visited here for the first time a few weeks ago and the service was pretty poor. Took almost 30 min just to get a water and beer. Food tasted good so gave benefit of the doubt.Came again tonight and waited over 45 min for a server just to come by and ask us what we wanted to drink. We arrived at 6:55 and qt 7:45 they came to tell us they were closing at 8 and the manager wouldn't cook our food. Flabbergasted we asked how since we've been here over 45 min already just waiting on a server (there were 10 tables with people and 5 servers). The waitress said you're right im putting it in they can be bad at me since the manager was supposed to be waiting this table anyway. Over an hr just to get a drink and still never got a water. Crazy. Don't recommend.

I really wanted to give this place another chance but they make it so hard to do. This place has a wonderful atmosphere that could do really well with a good manager! They can’t blame it on be short staffed as they ALWAYS do because it’s always the same excuse. We started off sitting on the patio and after 20 minutes of watching our server walk around like she didn’t have a clue as what to do we went upstairs. Another 10 minutes of getting waited on with a 90 minute wait time on food. My daughter ordered her burger medium well and it came out medium rare and cold. Waitress never came back to check with us to make sure our food came out ok. We all left are now nauseous with diarrhea. Lessons learned as to not complain about the wait time in a restaurant because I feel like we got a little extra in our food

Mediocre food, not much to write about for this place. It wasn't bad but not great. Our server did a phenomenal job taking care of us. Drinks filled and food came fast. The food ranked from not good to just okay. Almost a 3 star, saved by the excellent service. The view and location was nice.

A group of us stopped by late in the evening and we all had a pleasant experience. We ordered various burgers with a black bean patty and it tasted good. I liked that there was a vegetarian friendly option other than just salad. Good food and good service.

Great location right on the river! We enjoyed eating in their open air dining section with our 2 miniature dachshunds. We received excellent service and amazing food. We will definitely be visiting again!! Highly recommended!!Parking: They also had designated motorcycle parking.

Visited last Saturday for lunch. Upstairs and downstairs were very busy but was able to get a table without wait. I chose downstairs to get the outside seating. The fries trout was very good. Also tried the bacon wrapped Wickes pickles. They were so good I wished I had ordered the larger size. It is a great place to stop eat and watch the river go by.

We went on a ride with a group of Miatas and this was our destination. I got a Cannonball burger and my husband got the Iron Works burger and fries. Both burgers were amazing. The fries were great. We sat downstairs because our group filled up the whole upstairs. It was outside but it wasn't hot and we were right by the river. A very nice lunch! The staff were all friendly and our waitress was very good.

Nice restaurant, definitely one to come back. Iron Works Grille is a great place to taste a nice burger while enjoying a river view in the Smoke Mountains. Personnel is friendly and prices are reasonable. A++

Came in on the way home from a trip from Chattanooga to Blue Ridge. I've been here before but never will again. Service was lousy, was never asked if I needed a refill on my drink and my order was wrong, then it took forever for them to come along so I can pay $50 for two sandwiches and drinks I never got refilled. Want some good advice? Avoid Ironworks, there are better options in Tellico. Also they're allowing dogs to run around, major health code violation. Hope no one reports them.

The first time we visited this place in 2021 it was really good. Any visit since has been sub par. The food & service is inconsistent. Your apps & food come out in the most random order. Our last visit, I didn’t get a house salad I ordered. I asked our server to take it off of our bill because by the time she came back to our table, we were halfway through our meal. (No big deal.) She told us TWICE that it had been removed. When it came time to pay, they bring you a credit card machine. Not a receipt. I asked for a receipt after I payed. THE SALAD WAS STILL ON MY BILL!!!! I asked her about it. She tried to tell me it had been removed -it clearly hadn’t! She said it will take my manager too long to get this off, let me give you $2 from my tips. I felt like this was a guilt trip for me AFTER she lied to our faces TWO times ..& the salad was $2.50+tax. I said no.This review isn’t about the salad. It’s about checking your bill BEFORE you pay. This girl was not honest. We will not be back.

I finally got to stop in here after seeing their posts on social media and I'm glad I did. The flavor of their wings was amazing. If I had one negative thing to say about them I'd that for "hot" they could've been hotter. They seemed more like mild Buffalo. But that aside, they tasted amazing, had that crispy bite (not soggy like most places). Their namesake burger was incredible as well. After eating that, I need to make my own bacon jam, because I'm hooked on that stuff now. And the view of the river was amazing as well. I'll definitely be back.

the waitress that we had was extremely inconsistent and spoke with us twice in the matter of forty minutes. we did not get to actually place our food order until after that forty minutes. she also had a pack of cigarettes sticking out of her pocket and i personally think that is disgusting and unhygienic especially because she is SERVING FOOD she was wearing a very sparkly belt and that is how i remember her and how bad her service was.

Where have you been my whole life? We went on a Tuesday. Amberlee, our server was the bomb! The Ironworx hamburger was AWESOME! My husband had the chicken salad, which was equally delicious. Our salad had delicious homemade ranch and a terrific balsamic vinegrette. Then Sam, who was an AMAZING SINGING VOICE, by the way, started Songo, bingo with sings. We didn't win, but we had a blast. We WILL be back as often as we can on Tuesdays and Fridays!!

What a charming location!We were a group of 11 and were welcomed by both staff and guests.Our waitress Lacy was AMAZING 🤩, she was able to accommodate everyone, and despite the pressures she kept cool and sweet.We met a beautiful family of locals who surprised us with a round of beers, such kindness has left a lasting impression of wonderful Tennessee and its people.The food was delicious and they serve local beers which I recommend you sample and enjoy. (The Yee-haw Dunkle was very refreshing.)The location was really nice, we ate inside where they had great atmosphere and many TVs showing a variety of sports.Later outside by the riverbed we had a fantastic time chilling and skipping rocks on the river.Thank you for a wonderful time Ironworks Grille and your staff.
