I could not be happier with a USDA processor for our farm to table beef. They are great with communication and always return my messages. Everything turned out beautifully from our label to the way they cut the beef. We are so pleased with them and look forward to doing business with them as our preferred processor from now on. The place is so clean when you walk in and does not smell like a meat locker. The process for drop off and pick up is so easy.

First time using Down Home. We just broke in to the ghost pepper/cheddar summer sausage. I knew I shoulda ordered more but wasn’t 100% sure I’d like it. We’ve eaten half a roll and it’s 9am!This place was great. Nice folks, very helpful for someone new to processing meat. Great price. And very professionally packed. Wish I could give 10 stars!

I visited you in February looking for USDA kill dates for 2023 and having the packaging labels with our farm name on it and you told me and my wife that you were NOT booking for 2023 until March. So today (March 1st) I called you to book our dates and you tell me you are completely booked with have no dates available. Not good business. I would not recommend your business.

Super Nice and Clean Facility, the Packaging is the Best I've ever seen from a processor. Vacuum sealed, high quality materials and each is labeled with packaging date and individual weight right on it. Located on the most Beautiful farm in some of the prettiest land E TN has to offer. Superb Quality, even though it's a drive from Knoxville.

BUYER BEWARE. The only thing well processed was our payment.We got a side that was allegedly 396 pounds. Poorly processed, they did not elven pretend to adhere to the very specific cut sheet. I feel like the best cuts were just not in my packaging, we got less that 8 pounds of rib-eye that was supposed to be a whole bone in loin for standing rib roast at Christmas, we got 2 3.5 pound packs that were completely trimmed. No flank steak present, the four 6 ounce NY strips were tiny and triangle shaped. The four 8 ounce filets (that doesn’t match up to the amount of strip) were fine. We did get over 120 pounds of ground beef. Every package we have thawed leaks, meaning they are poorly done.
