I get that you're helping out one group, which is great, but it kind of feels like it's putting a strain on another. Since it's a thrift store, maybe doing a bit of price comparison with other local thrift shops could help find a sweet spot that's more affordable? Plus, keeping an eye on the store's reputation is key. People who donate, as well as those you're aiming to support, might feel disheartened seeing negative reviews, especially about high prices. It's all about striking that balance.

As with the other KARMS in Morristown, this one is a bit steep on their prices, and I find this one is a bit more bit-or-miss on clothes that I like and can find in my size, so I tend to stop by both if I plan to visit this one, but I have found some nice clothes and shoes here too, so it's definitely worth checking here from time to time as well! My sister also tends to find clothes she really enjoys at this one! I do hate that the undershirts are priced the same as regular shirts, since an undershirt for me also requires a shirt or other layer over it, and I can't afford to pay that for both, especially when the undershirt is useless to me, if I have nothing to wear with it. So, personally that stinks, but sometimes I find something nice that I can afford and fits me right.

Karm stores are so great! On Tuesdays they have a Senior Day Special with 15% off your total merchandise! All the proceeds from the money you spend there also goes to great causes. It's a great place to shop with great people and great giving back to the community.

Over Priced - Staff Rude not Friendly. Another shopper started to get something out of a bin the worker was putting up and they told her she had to wait until they had it on the shelf. Really, lol. When I go to Walmart if they are stocking soda or chips and I want some they are more than happy to let me get what I need. They usually ask if I need anything else. These Karm employees hoard this stuff like it is gold, lol. Old worn out junk with outrageous prices and you cannot touch until I tell you to. What a joke. So unprofessional, not customer friendly at all. And then of course they never fail to do their Karm duty begging for your change when you check out. Karm has turned their employees into nothing more than street beggars, can I have your change, can I have a penny, a quarter, its for a good cause. Yeah right, nobody buys that lie. The CEO is getting rich and laughing all the way to the bank.

Has a 2nd hand store their prices have went up. I'm sure if they check their sales they have decrease in the last year. I use to round up to help fight hunger but with the prices they should not need it.

They have no public restroom.Jesus must want people to pee in the parking lot because it smells of urine.Overpriced! They'll share the generic response that all funds go to homeless etc. And say their donated items are priced to their value. But the items are still well over priced. You might get lucky on a few items. Yet, most items were tagged for more than the original seller's price..the workers seemed pretty upset to the question of why they were so highly priced, so I'm guessing it's a common occurrence. Thank God they consider the poor in the local jeffcity community.

BEEN A REPEAT CUSTOMER FOR 5 YEARS NOW THEY HAVE REALLY GOOD ITEMS THE PRICES ARE HIGH ON USED ITEMS THAT I CAN BUY FOR LESS IN NEW NOT USED CONDITION. THAT ARE NOT BROKEN, STAINED AND ALMOST IN NEW CONDITION ON THE CLOTHING. THEY HAVE TOYS, GLASS WARE, PLATES, BOOKS ,COSTUMES FOR šŸŽƒ, DECORATIONS FOR THE YARD , PHONE CASES. PURSES, WALLETS, SHOES, PICTURES IN FRAMES, JEWELRY, GLASSES, FURNITURE. FREE PARKING HANDICAP PARKING NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY WHEN ENTERING THE BUILDING. OVERPRICED ITEMS THEY DON'T FEED THE AREAS HERE LIKE MORRISTOWN AND JEFFERSON CITY ONLY KNOXVILLE WHY PLACE THEM HERE. NOT RIGHT JUST SAYING.

Great inventory, clean store pleasant staff BUT the prices are ridiculous. I understand the concept that some money goes to charity . Thats a wonderful thing to help others. Please consider that lower more reasonable prices increases sales. Still helping your mission, while allowing your community the chance to afford shopping your stores..

The store is clean and organized and has a good selection in the women's clothing department. However paying $25 for aused dress I could get on sale for 30 brand new, Or $20 for a pair of used sneakers, or literally $42 for a set of King sheets that are still in the package when I can get literally the same sheets for $47 brand new ship to my door from Belk. I just don't understand the reasoning here. I'd rather pay a few dollars more and get brand new with a return policy and shipped to me. I've always loved thrift shopping and supporting local charities in this way, but this isn't logical.

New prices for worn out stuff. All the employees were busy shopping . I hate that karm has such a strong hold in this area. They are not a good thrift store. Before donating to this corporation, look into how much actually makes it to charities and how much profit (off of free to them merchandise) they keep.Googling the amounts paid to employees is eye opening. Several positions in the company pay over $100,000 according to the internet. That's a lot of the profit that they make off free donated merchandise!

I do give them a 5 star because of what they do to help people. But, I do have a question why make them get out at light. Do people even have a vehicle to go job hunting and what about counseling?? Stores all over the place and they sell a lot of things. Can KARM do more with all this money they get??? AND WHY NOT A PUBLIC BATHROOM??? WHY NOT?? If they have a bathroom maybe people would shop more. Everyone needs to use a bathroom I just don't understand that???

People leaving negative critical reviews are truly amazing to put it kindly, otherwise I know this would be flagged... OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!PRICES:Funds go to help people in need, period. It costs money to put up these stores, utilities, staff, rescue ministries, training, housing, etc.If someone takes the time to write a scathing review about how they can go buy something retail somewhere else... you are missing the point / purpose of KARM.Personaly I've scored huge deals and I don't care if something is close to a retail price.Hey, have you ever been to a big chain book store? then while there compared the book prices on Amazon? Hmmm! Big difference there huh?Know what big chain sez? They can't compete and they'd go out of biz if they sold their books at Amazon prices.Wanna know the real difference?Digital Kindle and low quality / cost Print On Demand books (read reviews of binding issues and covers coming off) vs. Publisher Printed quality books that don't fall apart and here again Staffed brick and mortar stores... just like KARM.Oh yeah, have you checked the book, CD and DVD prices at KARM? 5 for 5 dear. Wah!SALARIES:Research the same salary of the same positions and tittle of other people at other companies and ask yourself if you'd take a pay cut for your education / degree just because you work at a charity organization and if they are actually in line with other salaries.MISSING STICKERS:Let's pretend this is your flea market booth that you've carefully inventoried and priced with little stickers.Imagine if you will ... you don't have a missing sticker policy and word got out...Suddenly every item is missing its sticker.Whatcha gonna do ?Well gee wiz Beaver... Are you gonna implement a policy, lookup and then relabel your items OR cave into every sneaky shoplifter and just give away everything?Oh but wait. It was all given to KARM so it should be free for you then, right?Yes, I do realize that stickers do legit fall off from browsers handling items. Pssst, I've had to locate said stickers that are labled and reapply them.Otherwise, let my people go! LOLYeah, they have to be redone and can be held for you.No Harm No Foul. No, KARM rocks and there will always be entitled haters trolling anything good.I pray that the miserable reviewers find Jesus.

I love karm, and enjoy shopping at all of them . and do regularly! This specific location has new faces and the level of customer service is terrible. After shopping for over an hour with over $100 worth of items, one item tag had fallen off and she refused to sell it to me!This is donated items,!!!all proceeds go to a good cause one of the main reasons I enjoy shopping at Karm! But really!! you cant make an exception, when a customer had 20 items with a tag ! Wow!!The asst manager that is there now is terrible!I didn't buy a thing, and wil not return to this location.I have been a loyal customer for years, and will not spend another dime in there !

I love Karm and it’s mission. I see people complaining about the prices but overall Karm stores have much better quality used apparel, toys, house decor, etc than most thrifting places (most items even still have the tag). The prices don’t upset me. Plus it’s for an amazing cause of providing meals to those who cannot afford them! I understand when you go to a thrift store you expect everything to be dirt cheap. But a $8 Nike shirt that’s in great condition compared to when I worked at Hibbetts and the cost was $40 for a Nike shirt is an awesome deal. Please realize that when you shop at Karm you are getting nice deals-for a good cause!

I love KARM Stores. I shop at several different locations and almost always find things at a pretty good price. I also really enjoy helping such a good cause. This is the reason I gave this store a 2 star rating instead of 1.There are no "public" bathrooms. I couldn't believe it when I was told by a friendly employee that "the Dollar General across the street has bathrooms." I shop at KARM and pay the higher than average thrift store prices because the quality of merchandise AND the shopping experience are better than other thrift stores. This is an unacceptable thing that just can't be overlooked.I can't review anything else about the store because we had to turn around and leave almost immediately due to the lack of a bathroom.

I do like this store better than Morristowns. Staff is much nicer. The cost of items are ridiculous though! Can’t afford to shop here much.

Very nice and neat store. Easy to navigate. Friendly staff. Too bad prices are outrageous. I try to remind myself it's for a good cause but sometimes that doesn't even help. And then they ask you to give them even MORE money? I might could afford to it you still took my 10% off of clothing receipts. And I just took 7 bags of clothes to Appalachian Outreach because the 25% off coupon was why I chose you.

My son just picked out a toy to complete his dinosaur collection and took it up to the register and she wouldn’t sell the dinosaur because the tag had fallen off. My son doesn’t understand that it is store policy couldn’t you have made an exception for a broken hearted child? It was very cold hearted standing there watching him devastated. We will not return when that employee is there. And I use to think very highly of Karm stores! Morristown however is a lot friendlier and more willing and compassionate to the childrens toys that may not have tags.

I'm giving a 3 star review, because I do sometimes find things here. With that being said, Karm is extremely overpriced. I don't understand how they charge $5-$7 dollars for puzzles and put as is on the tag. If you don't take the time to count the pieces and don't actually know if it's all there them they should be no more the $1-$2. I was told we could open them and count them, but im not sitting there counting 1000pc puzzles. You all should really rethink how you price some items. I bought a puzzle from them and after putting it together one piece was missing. Paid 5.00 and this one didnt say as is, so I thought it would be good.

I tried it again and the prices are ridiculous. Its just crazy what they charge for used clothing. I saw a smaller sized stuffer animal, nothing special and they had it priced at $6. Really! $6 for a dirty pre-owned stuffed toy. Wish I could rate them lower than one star.

I can’t help but feel like the will of these stores is as good as Goodwills, not good at all. Money is the root of all evil. They profit more than they help. How can used clothes be helpful to anyone when priced so high? You have a cheaper chance for new clothes at Ross or Bargain Hunt. Also if you are a person with tattoos the looks you get are so judgmental. I thought this was a ā€œChristianā€ backed place but like most ā€œChristianā€ places the harsh judgement is there but we won’t be nor will we donate again. I’d rather give my stuff to ones who need it than support this cooperation

I would have given them a higher rating simply for the fact that their used clothing is much nicer than the local Goodwill stores, but they're also overpriced considering the clothing is second-hand. In addition to that, I wasn't impressed by the manner in which the two employees handled a disabled gentleman's request for accommodation. The lack of compassion I witnessed made it unlikely that I'll visit another Karm Store.

WAY overpriced. Charges separately for a set of baby clothes you can get cheaper at the store. Had dollar tree frames for 4$ and a 99Ā¢ thing of bubbles for 5$. I think when they price they say pick a number 1-1000$ and that's what they price it at. I USED to love this store as it is very close to my house, however now I can get cheaper new clothes at Walmart. Disappointed.

Prices way to high. Rachal Ray USED POT FOR 39.95, REALLY. purex retro bake dishes(2) 39.95, higher than the antique store. You need to lower your prices or people will stop shopping there. You get it free, sell more volume, not the value. I noticed all your stores have LOADS OF INVENTORY. I'm done. Will not stop in any longer...best of luck. Dont try to justify its for a good cause. You can still make money, your being greaty.

I love taking an adventure at Karm's. Exploring every rack of clothing to find your new outfit. Then off to treasure hunting on their stocked shelves. I love walking among their furniture and many more treasures to mention here. Not to mention my favorite part, which is some of your total due goes to local charities. Just knowing your hard earned money bought you a treasure to call your own but it just fed someone who is hungry. In my personal opinion thats a perfect shopping day. ***** stars is what I proudly give Karm's.

I love that it's for a good cause but the prices were way too high. The whole reason people go to a thrift store is because they don't want to pay full price. I can get clothes cheaper at Ross for brand new.
