If you camp and animal shelter is great we adopted Donnie yesterday and he feels right at home he plays with our cat and he slept with us last night well both cats did and they've been playing and having fun he fit right into our family we tried putting them up but that didn't work until they got used to each other but as soon as we let him out they got along great here's some pictures of Donnie

I enjoy going to the dog park at the shelter. Only dog park that I know of in Dekalb County. Titus my rottweiler loves meeting other friendly dogs there. I've only had trouble once with a dog not behaving himself, rest of the time the dogs all get along and has lots of fun

Very professional and knowledgeable about all their animals. Super clean facilities and healthy animals. Made the adoption process super easy. We brought home Maple with us.

I was told I could trade in an animal but after filling out paperwork I was told they would not take the dog to be traded in. I was willing to pay the adoption fees of 200.They were gonna stick me with a new animal and make me keep the one that was dumped on me.I had the vet put the animal down. ☠️

Currently they have terrible use of resources and reasoning. This place constantly complains about being full yet they have a history of taking peoples lost dogs and rehoming them.Though i do enjoy the dog park and their nice attitudes, i do not appreciate how terrible they treat situations with animals. I have had a friend lose two of their dogs to this shelters rehoming system which only could’ve stressed out the dogs. On top of that when the whole town is trying to communicate with them on facebook, they delete comments and try to silence other people who are fighting for this dog. If you are looking for a shelter dog, go somewhere else, or find a dog they have kept for over a year so you don’t accidentally steal someone else’s dog.Edit: After going to the dog park this summer i have noticed that it is no longer properly maintained. Every time i go there is bacteria or some kind of grass mold in the bottom of the water FOR THE DOGS TO DRINK. I have noticed before but i always cleaned it since obviously the people that run the place don’t care to come clean out the bowls. If they would just walk down to the park one time a day and replace the water in the bowl and wash it out, it would prevent mosquitos from breeding and cleaner water for the dogs.

Today 9/24/2022 I participated in the "Hogs for Dogs (and cats too)" motorcycle poker run followed by silent auction. I can whole heartedly say that I support this shelter, their mission, and their ever so loving employees, you are really making a difference! They helped us adopt our pups in such a great manner! We didn't feel like we were being looked at as a "bad choice" for any of their pets like other places made us feel. Adopting should be enjoyable throughout the entire process and they did just that.

They are understaffed, but the take excellent care of their facility and their shelter pets. It was very clean and each animal goes outside daily as well as getting one on one attention every day. They take in all the animals that are in need of their help and try their best to find each one a forever home. The employees are very helpful and kind, as well

I have reported this dog to them and asked them for help and nobody is willing to help me. I do not have a vehicle of my own, not do I own any weapons. This dog keeps hurting my small children. Please help me someone. Please!!!
