Let's face, Dollar general isn't that great to begin with they're just convenient because they have dozens of stores within 5 miles of each other.That being said, this one has got to be one of the worst.They do not honor their hours of operation, which is supposedly 8:00 a.m. through 9:00 p.m.On any given day you can find them closed at 6:00 p.m., and that's if they open before noon.And let's not forget the pricing for everything, they update pricing in their system, but not on their shelves. Example, went to buy a jar of jam that was listed as $3.25, The shelf tag matched the item tag, but it rang up as $5 at the register.And no, they will not honor the shelf price which seems pretty deceptive.Trash litters the parking lot like an apocalyptic wasteland, and the inside is not much better.One day when I went in here, there were feces on the floor, I told the employee who was at the front, and he just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do about it.That behavior right there sums up the state of the store.I've since quit going to Dollar general just based off this location.I would rather drive further to a more expensive store chain then go to a Dollar general.

This location specifically definitely operates off of their own set of rules. There’s a specific girl with red hair that works the night shift and she closes 10 to 15 minutes early every night. I have been by there multiple times over the past few months and she is at the register and there are multiple people standing around talking to her while the doors are locked before 9 PM when the place is set to close. I am extremely disappointed with this location and the way that they operate I will not be returning. If I could give less than one star, I would, but I had to give one for the sake of leaving this review. Do better Dollar General, do better…smh

Dollar General, would you PLEASE just close this store to make room for a mini Aldi!? Oh wait... It's already always closed. Went by the other day around noon, closed. Just went by otw home from work (Tue 6pm), closed. When it IS open, they have this super condescending and surly kid working the register (who, despite his ill tempered demeanor, wears all this stuff with crosses and Christian phrases on it) who looks at you like you're an idiot while you're just waiting on him to do his job. They opened a self checkout but rendered it inoperable so you are forced to deal with him. The store is a catastrophic failure and only offers processed garbage to its patrons. Last resort!

The annoying thing I can say is they always close early. Says they close at 9 pm but you pull up at 8 and they lock the door. Tonight for example. Pull up at 8:16 pm and they lady is literally locking the door shaking her head at me. I’m sure if asked they say they have to clean and stuff, but that should be done AFTER 9 pm. Annoying.

Never open! I'm not sure why they don't close down altogether. They should at least post their operating hours (or rather non-operating hours) for the week on the door! Even when they are open they never have anything but empty shelves. Most of the workers are fine though, but really, whats the point of only staying open a couple hours?

The gentleman working behind the counter knew where everything was(because I was a new customer, and had to ask). It's nice to walk into an establishment and have employees that ask how your day is going, and be so helpful. It's a list art in the younger generation, he was amazing.

The one beside me is awesome! Not only are the employees nice and helpful, but I know where everything is. The one behind McDonald's is a different story! They act like they don't want to help you and then there are employees standing in the aisles talking, you say "Excuse me" and they just look at you like you are crazy and keep standing in the way!!!!!

Clean store and the cashier named Sherri Dawn was very helpful and went out of her way to help me find what I needed. She was very polite and knowledgeable. Very impressed with her help and kindness. She definitely deserves a raise. She is a jewel! Thanks

Nice clean store, stopped in for no real reason and somehow spent 60$. My daughter got a couple of need less things, girlfriend found some goodies we needed and did not need. I found a not old Dr.Who episode for a dollar on dvd, so hence dollar general. I find many dollar general stores feel overcrowded with items and not so clean. I think we all agreed this one was worthy!

The setup is different from the usual Dollar General stores that I've previously visited so it was cool to take a look around.. it was clean, shelves were stocked and the line was a bit long but I made it through it in less than 3 minutes...

I go at least once a week. Sometimes more. They always say hello ! The only issue and it doesn't bother me . It would help the employees though. The conveyor doesn't work and hasn't for over a year.

This location newer than other location in Old Hickory but not as up-to-date as far as stocking. In this pandemic seems like they don't re-order in quantities as needed. Body Fantasies cologne in vanilla has not been available for quite awhile. They also close an hour earlier. They are more convenient, being 1 block down and 2 blocks away.

Store is a little unorganized but a quick and simple store for items. Price is better or comparable to other stores. The staff asked if I needed assistance and was quick to ring up at the register. Parking lot clean and well lit.

Staff is very unprofessional. Store never seems to open on time. Normal cashier has no respect for customers or the store. Been to this store on multiple occasions and she is arguing with and yelling at customers. Worse run Dollar General I have ever visited. Will be contacting corprate to let them knoe

On dec 7 2020 the person working gave me back two twe nty dollar bills that I gave thinking they were all ones and he gave me the 2 twenty's back! I would have never known he knew I wasn't looking guy from lakewood tn store around noon. Thank God there's still young people like him are still around! Very kind young man!

I was looking for a specific item, the cashier told me to look on the other side of the counter. She must have watched me as i could not locate my item. She helped againand i finished and payed and left. In and out in 5 minutes!!!
