Nice small grocery store. Friendliest staff! This is like those old neighborhood grocery stores you just can not find anymore. Good selection and produce/ meat looked great.Parking is easy and located right next to dollar tree. There is some small seating in front of grocery store.Worth a visit if in the area.

They always have a good selection of meats and goods. Other items that you can't find at other large groceries. The pick 5 for $25.00 I always purchase. The customer service is excellent from the meat department to the cashiers. I've been a customer for a very long time. Good to be back home !

The customer service here is always overwhelming like how is it everyone is always helpful and happy . The prices are a bit expensive but for the customer service and help you receive it’s all worth it . The workers are very diverse the meat is always fresh and the variety of the meat is priceless you name it they sale it . The young guys are well trained that work there as well so happy to be apart of the Compton community.

The food prices here are very good, they have rotations where they have select meats on sale. The average product here is cheaper than Wal-Mart shockingly. I removed a star because I wasn't able to find Fig Newton or canned pineapple juice here. (Which are very common items, they could have been out I'm not sure.)

Comptons store and her employees are like family! Mike always helps me locate items or order it if needed. Dale cuts our meats when we request in the manner we love! Compton's is my favorite grocery store!

OMG. Had there meat loaf lunch. It was better than what grandma used to make. Huge generous portions all for $7.99 it was amazing. The management there, I believe they were the owners that I had the opportunity to meet, Interact with every customer just like they've known him from years. Their meat specials are one of a kind they're amazing their meats are amazing. It is now even though it is 42 minutes away from where I live. This is now my Neighborhood Grocery store. I will shop there and only there. Produce was absolutely gorgeous as well.

They are the first location to carry all 11 Wide Open Foods Anything Sauces & Spices and the NEW NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN SAUCES! Great family run personable service where they remember you and your name, carry out your groceries, and carry great local products like honey, Jams, and WOF! New Creole Blackening is my favorite, 8oz for what others charge for 4oz...and best meat deal-Pick 5 for $19.99 (Also some veggies, sweet potatoes rounds, freezer foods on Pick 5!)

Awesome small grocery story with great focus on service. They care about the community and their customers. Always very friendly and helpful. I have visited several times and employees always go out of the way to help out customers, you never wait in line to checkout, and one employee even carried my groceries out to the car for me (I have NEVER had anyone even offer to carry groceries). Great for quick grocery runs due to its convenient location. More expensive than Wal-Mart, but more conveniently located for me.Annual Easter egg hunt is a blast for the kids ... Be sure to check out their amazing doughnuts and cookies. Great grocery pick up and ordering service as well!

Treated my wife like a criminal because the card readers wouldn’t recognize her Chime or CashApp card at the register, interrogated and embarrassed her in front of the whole store even though we’re regular customers. Even tried to stop another customer from helping her! We used to love Comptons but recently the food quality has gone down dramatically. In the last few months we’ve gotten bad meat, bad deli meat, and molded produce. We will not be shopping there anymore. And we’re disappointed at how management mistreated and disrespected our family.

I love this store!! You will too if you do not already.The store is smaller than Walmart and Kroger but that is one of the many reasons I like it. Their prices are good and I dare to say I have been saving money since I have been shopping there. I have to admit that I have lived close to Compton’s for years and have just started shopping there. Do not let that happen to you.You cannot find a better store for meat as far as cost and quality is concerned.Check out their 5 for $24.99 specials whereby you purchase 5 marked packages (and there are many different meats and quantities to choose from including ground beef, bacon, chicken and pork, etc.).You can also purchase cooked/warm meals with a meat and 2-3 veggies which absolutely look delicious. I have tried the ribs which were wonderful.I wish I had not missed out on Compton’s all this time but am thrilled I will not miss out anymore.

Blessed to have this MomandPop Grocery store in our village! Always friendly, still great meat prices, even after price hikes. Best butcher in Nashville. Toy train and small shopping cart for kids to enjoy. Grocery staff goes above and beyond for our community.

This is my favorite store to shop at. The meat prices are very affordable to me, especially the pick 5 and it's great quality. The workers are always friendly and helpful (like chick-fil-a workers lol). I often wonder how do they find these amazing workers. I've been shopping here over 8 years now. I love this grocery store!

I absolutely love this place! Small hometown mom and pop shop with a southern charm and an absolutely AMAZING meat department. Possibly the best I've ever seen.My ONLY complaint about this place......most of the young cashiers and baggers need a lesson on engaging their customers. It is a very common occurrence to see them totally ignore you after a casual "hey, how are you" and carry on a conversation with their friends/fellow coworkers about the party or sports event they went to the night before. Sometimes one or two of them won't even make eye contact with you and as a result, I end up needing to wait until they finally realize they need to press the button to finish the transaction.This needs some work. Please kids! You're ALL nice kids. That's not my problem. You just need to learn that your customer deserves your undivided attention when. they are in front of you. The conversation with your friends needs to stop, and then resume when the register is clear again.

We love this small family store! The renovations look great. The meat is always so fresh. And I love that day will cut your meat I slice it however you'd like. You can look through the meat department because it has glass windows. They are not trying to hide anything :)

I love love love this store. I love this store so much I literally travel from North Nashville to Compton's. I go for the freshness of the meat and the reasonable prices. The only place I have been where I do not complain about how high the meat products are. Very friendly staff, most staff recognizes me when I come in and that makes me feel they are paying attention and they care about there customers. As long as this store is open I will give them my business.

Good meat and produce department deli small but nice not sure if they still do use to serve a decent meat and 3 also had breakfast at 1 time. Dale is head of meat department he never failed to meet my expectations. Nice staff always courteous.
