Very friendly employees and convenient location! They're open until 10pm and so much easier to run there, instead of driving into town for something you forgot at the grocery store! They're starting to get in a lot of seasonal/Christmas stuff now too & I noticed some things at great prices, compared to other stores, like Walmart.. for bows, decorations, etc.

I love coming to this store., but I only come at night. The night shift crew there is so amazing. They make you feel welcome at the store, and not like you are bothering them by asking for help. The women that work during the mornings are rude and have major attitudes. If you come in while Mary and Kayla are working then you are seriously going to love it. They make you feel like they have known you for years! This store is amazing. Just make sure you go at night!

Who doesn't like Dollar General. It is a great store for those last minute items you run out of or for gifts and seasonal supplies. This one I really like because of the staff. They are always happy and polite to the customers. Everytime I am in there and need help someone is there ready to assist me and if they can't they will ask another employee to help.

They have signs on the door and at register that face masks are required. However there are two cashiers and several stock people working and none of them wearing a face mask. Not even around their neck. They do not have one at all. Avoid this store if you want to stay healthy.

UPDATE: This store has gotten worse. Today I witnessed an employee not wearing a mask. But also telling customers who were going back to their car to get a mask “not to worry about it. You don’t have to wear it if you don’t want to.” This is unacceptable. Do people not realize there is an incubation period for covid in which you HAVE it and can give it to others without knowing it!? Wear a mask to keep the odds down that you are giving it to others. Or don’t go in public.Original post: Convenient. Yes. But in this day and age where our sanitation and health is a top priority, not only do customers not wear masks, but almost no employees do either. I guess I’ll drive a little farther to find a staff that cares more about their own health as well as mine. It’s literally your “company policy” but employees don’t do it.All of us who work with the public should wear a mask. We are exposed to more chances of infection. Wear a mask. Cut down the likelihood of spreading Covid.

I can find what I need here easily. Also I witnessed employee helping this man find his child some food and things because the family was struggling financially. I think it was so very kind of those working there to help in such a way. Great place to shop.

I've been to more than enough Dollar General stores in my life. This one is by far the most unkept of the ones I've seen. It looked worse than Green Acres flea market out on the highway. Come on you guys....you are better than that. Don't be a Family Dollar.

Not a fan of the day shift employees but the night shift employees are amazing. Always friendly and the store is so clean , I drive out of my way to shop at the Dollar General on Montvale because of the cleanliness and the customer service.

Your standard dollar store... what else is there to say? Well, the location is pretty convenient for the local area and I have no idea how they packed that much stuff into one tiny store. I went by looking to see if they happened to carry a few obscure items... and they did! I was pleasantly surprised.

Customer service this am (Sunday may 19) at Maryville (Montvale location ) is rude and like to argue with you about prices. I'm sorry but if merchandise is signed on sale, then sale price should be honored without contest. I didn't fabricate the sign and put it up. This is NOT the first time this location has done this.

Decent store. ALWAYS has stock racks blocking aisles. Hard to maneuver around. Employees are VERY friendly though.

The manager is very slow and she has no knowledge of the store and on many occasions I stood in line so long with other people that we just set our things down in the left when the manager was working the counter this store not the others but this one a month now and always cluttered with trip hazards in the floor you can't get up and down the house it's Lock Stock comes in and nobody wants to do their job they're always out smoking whether you're at the register or not that woman manager will stay outside and smoke I chose a poor manager the story just below the house but I will go into town walking tour ever again

December 23rd 2015 at 5:37 p.m. one of the girls with setting are helping me and there was a customer walked up to the cash register while the other girl was sitting in the back playing with her phone said she was assistant manager here and did not offer to come out and her ring up the girls finish helping me and you can see her tell her that the other one and told her to quit helping me to go bring up they don't think helping customers is as important as taking the customers money and then the girl refused to give me her name and the other girl said she didn't know where name very bad service they said she was the assistant manager

I would never buy candy here because the scented laundry detergents, candles, dried sheets is so strong it permeates things like candy . Otherwise, you can find in expensive cards which I love.

inattentive manager and employee ignored me at the counter while i was ready to check out, wallet in hand. Both without a word, turning a 30 second transaction under 4 dollars into a 5 minute wait.

Dollar General. Funny the word dollar is there name but they will not accept dollars. I had $70 worth of merchandise and they will not accept $100 . Terrible customer service.We just shop other places now. This is still the U S A
