In the past this has been a great place to buy meat. But in the past few years it has taken a turn for the worse. They need a new Meat Department manager. They advertise sales and then don't put the product out. If you ring the bell you get a disgruntled attendant with an attitude who says " we sold out" . Really you sold out an hour after you open on the first day of the flyer? Yea right.It's sad that this is the best they can do.

Every time we come to TN from FL, one of our staple meals while in town is the fried chicken they have available. IMO, it's better than the local big chicken chain. Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Rude,Rude,Rude! Black woman that works in Deli.I asked her for fr.chicken & to pls. Put some thighs in there & not so many wings. Got home only to find 2 thighs & 2 legs out of a 16 PC dinner! The rest was Wings! She does this every time!!!

I love this grocery store. It's always clean, smells fresh, fully stocked. And ALL the employees are the nicest I've ever seen!!I drive thirty minutes to shop here, and it's well worth it every time!! 🌟

I love to shop local and this is a great place to shop. The staff is very friendly and they still bag your groceries and take them to your car and load them. I have not experienced that since I was a kid. If your from outta of town and visiting Lexington Tn. This is the place you would want to shop to experience what customer service is.

Absolutely great customer service, the cashier went above and beyond to help us when she saw that I was splitting up my groceries to go to 2 different house holds She started tying the bags so I would know what to drop off at home and take with me as we are having to travel right now back and forth to Nashville (family emergency) and not to mention it was past closing time. Anyway sorry for the rant 😜 🤣 I just wanted to say thank you for the excellent customer service!

They have great butchers. And 90% of employees are really helpful. Their birthday cakes are decorated 2nd to none. Great ladies back there.The deli manager makes sure your happy.

Very helpfulness and friendly staff, if you can't find something in the store they will check their stock round to see if they have it for you or their coolers or freezers to see if they can find what you need or you can get a rain check to come back and get it another day now that's service.

Food Giant has been the principle grocery store in Lexington, Henderson County as long as I can remember. Mr Griggs operated this location as Big Star for many years and then when he sold out it became Food Giant. They have a full service deli, meat market and a produce dept. The store is well kept and operated efficiently for a small town location. They offer a great variety of meats at a reasonable price and they will prepare you a complete meal for any occasion from the deli. They have plate lunches and deli sliced meats that are excellent. The store runs a weekly special in a newspaper insert that notifies the customers of their sales. They are efficient in their check out process and they seem to have ample help in this time of worker shortage. The store is located in the center of town and the location is convenient for almost everyone, right on Hwy 412 going thru Lexington from Parsons to Jackson. They have several stores around them, such as pharmacies, dentist, eye doctors and styling salons. The complex that surrounds the stores makes it a good 0lace to get several things accomplished at one time if your transportation is limited. Stop on in and give them a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Just stopped at this food giant on my way through town to go camping. Walked in, and walked right back out again. The other reviews are correct - not a mask in sight. None of the employees, none of the customers. Zero signage about covid or masks. Nobody wiping down carts. Lady in the deli was slicing meat with no mask or gloves. Not sure how that’s acceptable during C19.

I’ve been shopping at this store for a long time when it transitioned from big star I still shop here but I just think the store n it’s staff maybe not all of them but most seems to have attitude problem by working there we can never get any help n the one lady we ask said she was off the clock we were shopping for water that was on sale 4 for 10 n they were out once I tracked someone down to find this out the lady behind the service area looked at us like she wanted to smack us for asking so no not a good store to shop at anymore not to mention they are trying to keep up with the jones so to speak there pricing is always higher than Walmart which this is who they are in competition with u would think their price’s would be lower not higher and as far as friendly is unless u know someone in the store I dought they will be friendly towards you but ya go see for your self

Just an opinion, but if your just a regular patron, an average consumer, and don't do EBT....you may not easily afford FG. Easily find items as much as 30-40% higher than a Kroger. Inventory was really low, produce not priced. Pretty clean, checkout was quick and friendly. . But not enough to overcome the price deficit.

Hi, I am from Lexington TN. I had to go in our local grocery store today, Food Giant. No workers were wearing masks. People were not social distancing. Families of 3 or more were in the store at the same time. I have done everything possible to stay safe. I want to keep our town safe too. Please can you help with the Food Giant situation. This is why the numbers keep going up. Thank you.

My cashier helped me find real Hawaiian rolls which were next to the deli but not on regular bread aisle. Thank you. My family will be well pleased for Thanksgiving Day dinner.

Went there to buy lunch meat I waited and waited , I watched them serve everyone around me ,, skipped right over me and ignored me ! After 10 minutes waiting I got mad and left ! Try serving CUSTOMERS including THE ONE YOU DONT KNOW ! I stood there waiting and waiting ! It’s easier to serve THEIR FRIENDS FIRST

Well... Usually great shoppingHowever today my mom insisted on writing a check..as usual I go to office to get approved.. Rain started while waiting..told office lady to just hop in van in drivers seat as mom is elderly & mobility issues..same lady had done this on all previous trips to shop there.. She didn't want to get in the vehicle at the front door surrounded by traffic & dozens of people..Needless to say I won't be back to Lexington food giant. Parsons & linden are far more helpful for elderly people's shopping during COVID madness & check approval issues..Thanks Lexington food giant for sending me to Wal-Mart where I should have gone in the first place!!

They had a great amount of meat. I was getting rain checks on Wright bacon from Great sale. Plus they have great deli to slice bologna beef at thickness you want!!!!!

So excited. I've been looking for phyllo pastry dough for months and they had some. I couldn't find any at Walmart or Kroger so I was very surprised and excited to find some at Food Giant.
