I was in line in the store for approx 10-15 one person being waited on I front of me. When she walked away from the pharmacy pickup- I moved forward it was my turn. The clerk so oh it’s 130 we are now closed for lunch , come back at 2. I was standing in line and had been waiting on my script to be picked up. She sorry we are going to lunch and pulled down the gated window. I understand they needed to go to lunch but take care of your customers who had been waiting in line first. I was the only customer in line . I was out of the store and home by 138 after she did not wait on me- so I don’t think it was even actually 130 when she told me this. CVS meds to have staff to cover lunches and not everyone go at the same time. This is crazy to close completely for lunch. But even more absurd to not finish the customer in line snide the store.

This is the worst pharmacy in the Kingsport area. I was there for an hour last night getting medication that was sent in from the urgent care across the street, first they told me it would be 25 minutes so I waited. 30 minutes later that same girl with the black scrubs, long dark ponytail and glasses told me that my insurance didn’t want to pay for it at first but she pushed it through and it would be ready in 10 minutes. Insurance wouldn’t have anything to do with it not being ready, I think she just neglected to fill it. I told her twice that they had my maiden name on file and she didn’t bother to change it, and in the middle of ringing me up she hollered over to the drive thru and said “Libby I don’t feel like being over here, do you want to switch??”. She then handed me my bag with the incorrect name on it, no “thank you have a good night” or anything. Her attitude was terrible, she couldn’t have cared less about being there or helping anyone. Horrible customer service and horrible employees.

Insurance wants me to use this chain, I called insurance company and refused due to years ago I was ALWAYS shorted on certain medications and after first incident I asked for them to recount my scripts and was told they did not have time nor would they due to being counted by machine and pharmacist check they were correct….I then said I hope someone enjoyed 20 of one script and 20 of another!!!! Never again!!!!!

Extremely poor customer service. Dealt with them 6 or 7 times and all but one person was very rude. Spoke to the manager on duty once, Washington, to voice our complaint. His response was just "ok'. No apologies, no excuses, no care at all.

The red headed guy in the pharmacy was being rude to my fiance and I. She tried to explain what was going on and he spoke very poorly to her and obviously wanted the conversation over with.There was a lady in the drop off section that helped us with insurance and was very helpful finding a solution though!

I have had insurance problems both times I have been to the pharmacy at CVS in Allandale. I called this CVS to get someone to help me with the insurance issue & Savannah went above & beyond! She called the insurance & got the issue solved so I could pick up my daughter’s prescriptions! CVS needs more people like her!!

I have used CVS for a long time mainly because of this one is or was 24 hour store. ALMOST every person that I have dealt with are NOT very friendly or even polite. Two days ago my wife and I went through the drive-through to get two prescriptions. I had to wait a while cause there was a very long line. I got to the window and I ALWAYS put my ID in the drawer. The lady (Libby, I think that's her name) she did NOT say hello or anything but I said hello and gave her my name and birthday. I realize their computer screen faces away but it ONLY takes a second to smile and say hello. She just acted like she was mad at the world and definitely didn't want to be working. So, she said the price and I said ok and she said "and I will need your ID". Then, I just replied "if you would take just a second and look at me or the drawer, you would see I put my ID in there when I said hello". Libby DID NOT like that bit of honesty, THEN SHE STOPPED AND JUST STARED AT ME!! Everybody knows when someone stares at you, they are just looking through you and I said now you choose to look at me BUT THAT STARE DOWN JUST MAKES IT WORSE. Before I continue I want people to realize I worked behind counters just like that for over 25 years. I was actually a store manager for almost that whole time. I held EVERYONE INCLUDING ME to a standard, I would say a high standard but IT WASN'T a high standard. IT WAS JUST TREAT PEOPLE THE RIGHT WAY AND that means EVERYBODY is greeted with eye contact and hopefully a smile. I know people including myself has had to go to work NOT feeling well BUT THAT IS NO EXCUSE TO CHANGE OUR STANDARDS! That is what's WRONG, is people DON'T treat people like humans and like they would want people to treat their own family. I just wanted you to know I don't write this review and not understanding both sides of the counter. So Libby, did the hard stare and hooded after I said what I did and walked away. I waited even longer but then the manager Zed (I think) came over and asked if I had any questions about my meds and I said no but Libby wasn't polite and no eye contact. He said it's hard to look at the customers the whole time cause the way the computer screen sits. I said I don't expect someone to look at me the whole time and I explained to him as I did here, I know what I'm talking about. He said (again excuses for Libby) that he believed there was just a misunderstanding and I said Zed THERE WAS NO MISUNDERSTANDING WHEN SOMEONE IS STARING YOU DOWN. As I said, ALMOST everybody there is unfriendly but I have made the choice NOT to go to CVS and that's what happens when you don't treat people properly. Sorry, for such a long review but I felt it was necessary to tell the story. I don't like to give people bad reviews and I don't take it lightly but when I do it I want to give the reason for it. Thanks for reading and PLEASE PLEASE CAN WE ALL JUST TREAT PEOPLE WITH JUST A LITTLE KINDNESS. GOD BLESS.

Upon arrival to pick up prescription @ 9:30 on 7.21.23, we were informed that they were slammed and couldn't fill our meds.The prescription was called in at least 2 hours prior...whoever heard of a pharmacy not filling a prescription????..and what if this was a serious need.??? Very unacceptable..and no effort was made to help fix the problem...would NEVER use them again..you have to have a trustworthy pharmacy and clearly they are not .

Awful wait times! Awfullll and also can never get the phone answered when calling.. I have got put on hold before for over 2 hours just trying to see if a medication was being filled and still never got an answer. Finally called and transferred the RX just to hear the pharmacist at the new pharmacy tell me that “they would try because CVS was the hardest to get ahold of” and I understood clearly because they are. Hopefully this isn’t the case with everyone maybe was just my experience but I tried for over 6 months due to this being the closest to me but it just wasn’t worth the aggravation to me

Went to urgent care on Thursday night, had doctor send prescription to cvs since my regular pharmacy had already closed, got there waiting in line 15 minutes, since I had laryngitis my husband gave my information 3 or 4 times to the technician, he very rudely said after the 4 or so time he didn't have anything, husband asked how long does it usually take for it to be sent electronically, technician refused to answer questions and walked off. I have worked in independent pharmacy and long term care pharmacies since 1985, so I have a real good idea how a pharmacy technician should act, how pharmacies should be ran. I finally was able to pick up my prescriptions on Saturday! I am on the verge of pneumonia by the way! This treatment is the very reason I and my family will only come to a chain pharmacy in an emergency, I'll drive miles out of the way for an independent pharmacy

I would give 0 stars if it was an option. Long story short. I went to pick up my sons antibiotics and the technician told me it was out of stock. At this point it was 8PM and most pharmacies were closed. I asked him why I was not called so that I could have gotten it somewhere else and I stated that there is always a problem getting prescriptions filled at this store. He looked away from me to another employee and said,“I don’t even have the energy to respond.”I asked to speak with the manager and left.I will not be back.

Went in here to get over the counter medicine for my three month old boy. They where completely out of every brand. I went in there during lunch. The ladies where standing in the pharmacy with the gate down. I simply asked a question that did not require any assistance other than simply an answer. One lady responded with "We are on lunch. You can come back then." Another lady did answer my question in a tone that was clearly bothered by me interrupting their lunch conversation. Will not go back nor, would I recommend this place to anyone. Drive the extra two minutes and go to the Walgreens up the road.

At window for pharmacy and employee very slow doing order of car in other lane ..10 minutes later she tells me they are closed for lunch and I stated I had been at window for 10 minutes and she said nothing she could do that her computers shut down for their lunch ... told her I hate cvs ..I was picking up for daughter. I DONOT USE CVS PERSONALLY ...VERY RUDE PLACE ..TOLD DAUGHTER TO MOVE HER PRESCRIPTIONS..

This is the 2nd time I've ever gave a review of customer service EVER. In this CVS, an attendant turned off the CVSconnect system so that I couldn't use Wi-Fi. It's 2023 people. I'm a veteran of THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE. 4th of July. Oooo... I get it. 🤨🤨

Went in to get a couple of things, and noticed online at the CVS website, the price for these items well approximately $9 cheaper than in the store. I asked if they price match for their own website, and was told they don't do that at all. I asked why there's such a big difference in price, and they won't price match, and was told by an employee it's because this forces the customers to buy online and pay for shipping. This gets them to make the higher price either way. Absolute garbage. I'll stick to places where I know they price match with their own website

Just had two major surgeries, my wife took me by to pick up my prescriptions at almost 9pm. The prescription had been called in by my doctor’s office several hours earlier. They told us it wasn’t ready and it would be 25 minutes. I had my wife take me home. She went back today at 3:30 pm and they told her it would be 30 minutes before they would be ready. I called and asked to speak to a manager, I was told there was no management on duty until mid week or next week. I am sure if I speak to the “manager”, if there is really one, nothing will happen. They are just worried about getting a paycheck and not the customers

The pharmacy staff are very rude, they automatically refill prescription without any approval from customer, they won’t call your physician to renew a prescription to be refilled, unnecessary calls regarding your prescription, they never do a consultation on new prescriptions, if your doctor is trying you on new medication they automatically fill it for 90 days supply even if you ask for 30 day supply, if you tell them you have a prescription change and not taking that prescription they fail to remove it from your list of medications, they don’t always have your prescription filled for when it’s promised, this particular pharmacy has carpet and it smells inside the pharmacy, and lastly this store in particular looks unclean inside. I have no choice to go here because insurance has made it my preferred pharmacy.I’m very unhappy about all of this and I NEVER had a problem with my previous pharmacy Walgreens.

Never enough staff here at this location. Nor is it open 24 hours in the pharmacy as the sign suggests. It closes at 10 pm. They are always out of stock on medications and running behind schedule. It's ridiculous.

Wow! I have NEVER been treated SO rude at a drug store! The cashier was hateful when I asked where the product I was looking for was after not being able to find it where I was expecting it to be. Then the pharmacist was even more rude and a smart*ss when I didn't see it after going up and down the aisle 3 times. I was then informed that "the website shows things that we don't carry". Are you serious?!?!?! Then when I said that they needed to fix that issue, he was like "well do you want me to help you look for it or not". I wanted to say "if I'm not keeping you from anything that would be great" but I just said "please". He took 10 seconds to walk over, point at an area and said "here's our brand" and walked away. Guess it's a good thing I didn't have any questions cause he probably wouldn't have an answer. I would give this place a negative score if I could! Too bad we can't!! Thank goodness for Walgreens! Atleast there I get great customer service and pharmacy support!

I love CVS. They have very friendly and helpful associates. I fill all my prescriptions there. I also love to shop for snacks, makeup, personal items and seasonal items there. Love the extra care and coupons!

honestly, it took a minute but me and this cvs are on great terms. there is one pharmacist who is so nice to me and always says she likes my hair. it’s truly a thrill. and so what if I have to wait for my antidepressants and birth control for 10 minutes?it’s a good time to call a family member that you want to have a brief conversation with- and end it by saying you’ve gotta talk to the pharmacist. no excuse not to your grandparents and parents aren’t going to live forever.

Do not get your medication at this location. They told me my son was out of refills. I called the Dr who said they called the medication in days prior as promised. I called the pharmacy back and they said they never received the order so I called the Dr back who called in more medication but again they claimed to never got it. This was a back and forth issue. I finally called to speak to the pharmacist and they said he was on a conference call. Come to find out my son did have refills.. All this time my son went without medication and could not attend school without his medication and all along he had refills. This isn't the first issue we have had. I had a personal issue with them only giving me 100mg of my 900mg dose of Gabapentin because supposedly they don't have 900mg tabs and have to fill as 800 and 100mg dosing but they always forget to give me the 800mg so finally I had my medication lowered to 800mg so I could receive the correct dosing because they make 800mg tablets. It is ridiculous.

Rude and inefficient technicians of CVS pharmacy. I received a text from CVS that my husband's prescription was ready. We had previously called to have CVS transfer all of their prescriptions to another pharmacy. We changed pharmacy insurance last December so that we would not have to frequent CVS again. I called CVS and was on hold for 16 and a half minutes before the technician answered. I explained that we had already transferred our prescriptions to another pharmacy. She said that we would have to have that pharmacy call CVS. I told her that they already had. I asked her if she would like to know why we changed insurance so that we would not have to frequent CVS pharmacy. She said it didn't really matter why we changed. I spoke with a pharmacist (another 5 1/2 minute hold). He was very nice but said he could do nothing about the employees and that I would have to call the pharmacy manager on Monday. I will be calling her even though I am not expecting results.These technicians do not even acknowledge patients when they come to the pharmacy. One may stand there for 10 to 15 minutes being ignored. Please read the reviews from the last 2 years and know that this is not the CVS pharmacy to go to. One should not tolerate rudeness from anyone, particularly in healthcare! Hopefully, we will not have to use this CVS unless it is an emergency.

The worst pharmacy I have ever used!!! They always screw up my prescriptions and when you call to get the fixed plan on sitting on hold for atleast half an hour most of the time longer. Can not tell you at this point how many times it has taken me 2 to 3 weeks to get a prescription filled and how many times I have ran out of my meds waiting for them to get things fixed!!!!

Store was unwilling to split my tablets in half for me. There was no one else in line behind me and I was willing to wait. The tech/cashier asked the pharmacist and the pharmacist replied that she didn't think they had a pill splitter available, she clearly didn't want to be bothered with a small task request. No offer was made to double check if a splitter was in fact available for use, just handed my prescription to me and that was clearly the end of the transaction. I expect a little better from a national chain like CVS. I only go to CVS because of my insurance.
