I love coming to Academy Sports. They have a massive variety of outdoor products. Everything from baseball, basketball, football, golf, fishing, hunting, camping supplies, etc... gun safes, swimming supplies. I brought my Grandson and bought him son socks and some sweat pants and a pull over shirt! Nice quality, Come see for yourself it's great!

It was so good, I was literally questioning why I hadn't gone there before now.I went for new work boots and was upset at my inability to not buy more stuff. 🤷The employees are super helpful and knowledgeable.

I bought a battery for my boat thr battery starred leaking whenever my trolling motor was pulling power out of it so I tried taking it back battery was approximately 9 months old didn't have a receipt and was told they couldn't help me it did not help that the battery had a little orange sticker that said 8 /22 when I know dang well I bought it around Jan 2023 who has a receipt for a battery from 9 months ago really guys anywhere else in the universe scan the battery barcode or use phone number boom your done all the information is there I have bought thousands of dollars of merchandise from this business I love shopping at this store but I am afraid that has come to an end I'll spend my money were I can get better service for my hard earned money customer service sucks%100

Everyone was friendly and helpful, got exactly what I went for plus a nice clearance item. Items can be a little high but that's probably more my cheaper mindset and age showing. They are probably priced well and comparable.

I like this place. I have a very hard time finding tennis shoes for my picky feet! This is a great place to find some and they have lots of other great things as well. They have clothes, camping stuff, YETI things, athletic shoes and all the gear!

The store is very clean and laid out very well. Custom Service goes above expectations. Everyone in there is very knowledgeable. The restrooms were very clean. They helped me save money on my purchase and getting approved for a credit card was easier than I thought. Not only did I save 15% on my first order the lady helping me made sure I maximized my savings. They give out a very generous amount pending approval! Overall very happy with my experience with them.

Brother behind the counter flagged me with a pistol and I asked him nicely not to do that and he caught and attitude with me saying it's unloaded. It's never an option to assume firearms are unloaded because that's how people get Alec baldwin'd....

The gentleman that greeted was rude to us. My husband and I are both disabled and when we went to get on the electric carts. He told my husband u don't need that, and there not for playing with and that he needed it for another customer. Even though there was a third cart available. When my husband started to say something the employee pointed at me and said she might need it but u don't. When my husband asked why he said that the gentleman walked off. But then started following us around the store. Was very unhappy won't go back!!!

My daughter started a new job and she had the wrong shoes she needed for her feet. We tried everything with the new shoes she had. It didn't work , and was exhausting between both of us working 12 hr shifts. I ordered a pair to pick up in the store, and she tried them on in the parking lot. They were too narrow, so we went back inside to see if they had a wider width. It was not available, and we had to shop. She had just got off work, and I had just finished up 12 hr night shifts. We were both tired, and truly did not know where to start. 2 of your employees appeared in the shoe department. It was on a Sunday night. I think it was August the 6th. I didn't get their names, but they were so helpful, and glad to help us select a shoe that would work. I just wanted to recognize them for their excellent customer service that is rare thus day and time, and how much we appreciated the help. The shoes worked, and I appreciate their kindness, helpfulness, and knowledge. Good job to these two young women. Also, the store pick up cashier was quick, helpful, and knew how to do her job! Good job, and thank you so much!!

Did an online order for a few shirts this morning. It was split between in store pick-up and ship to home. My card was charged for the full amount then part of the order canceled due to stock issues, then recharged for the price of the lesser order. When I came to pick up the remainder of that order I decided to browse for myself and found the item in stock with two separate color options, with the help of a few of the staff. Kind of wish the online ordering offered color substitution rather than cancellation.

It seems that their website is broken but it has not been fixed since day 1. I put in the size shoe I want, width and hit search. I turn on the "in stock" filter and I get a list of shoes. None of which are the size, width I am looking for. If they are they are not in stock. It's ridiculous to say the least. The prices make you go to the website but then they never have anything in the size, width I need. Why have a website that shows shipping available but only list items that are not available in store or for shipping? I give 3 stars because I still shop the website but not for shoes. I'm not getting my hopes up just to spend an hour looking thru listing that are not right or not there. Fix it folks, your losing money.

The wait time was insane but it was due to 1 elderly man behind the counter to buy a firearm. Great prices, selection is going fast though, I would highly recommend Academy Sports inJackson, Tennessee, if your looking to buy a new firearm.
