I was one of those tough customers. It was my first time getting a puppy of mine groomed. I didn’t really understand all that went into it so when the appointment hit the 2.5 hour mark I started to freak out. I really appreciate they called me to give me an update and explain everything they had to do and why it was taking to long. The groomer was so kind on the phone and totally reassured me. She didn’t have to do that but did and it went a long way with me. She not only exercised patience with my little puppy but ME (much is arguably much more difficult I think) plus, he looks fantastic.

They did a wonderful job with my Drako and diesel. Very accommodating as my female was in heat and required different care. They checked vaccines during check in as Expected. Both dogs seemed so calm and collected when we picked them up. Love that I was able to call and check on them during their stay. They looked like they had a blast and the employees had so much fun with them. I will be bringing them back. Best price around town for boarding as well!

I am very happy with Rosie's cut.She seemed very content when I picked her up. She is an 11 yr old Cocker Spaniel so that speaks volumes! This was her first cut since we moved. We just moved here from PA. She will go back. Her cut is spot on !!

I called to get an estimate, including flea treatment, and was blown away at their prices! It was my dog's first time being groomed, and they did amazing. They made me comfortable leaving him with them, and when I went to pick him up, he had obviously been very well taken care of and bonded with them

Took my girls (Poppy & Petunia) here for the first time a couple days ago. This was their first grooming visit. I was very pleased with the service and friendly staff. Will be bringing them back.

There are 3 types of companies - those that leave you with a negative taste in your mouth, those that leave no impression whatsoever, and those that make such an impression you wouldn't consider going elsewhere. The Barking Lot is the latter! Their facility is clean; their staff is friendly and knowledgeable; and their love and dedication to the animals is obvious. I make a 35 minute drive and pass several other groomers just so we can visit The Barking Lot because I know my Harley girl will receive top notch treatment!

Excellent Experience!When I adopted Mike from McKamey Animal Shelter, I received a certificate for one free grooming from the Barking Lot. What a wonderful gift it turned out to be. The groomer was friendly and knowledgeable on grooming. She did exactly what I requested - trim Mike, but keep some fur on him to insulate from the Winter cold. She turned Mikes raggedy fur into a silky, trimmed coat.I will definitely keep her as Mike's groomer!

Be prepared to be charged extra fees. I have taken my Maltipoo here for years but the last two times I have picked her up I have charged unnecessary fees. The last time I picked my dog from her groom appointment I was charged a daycare fee because no one would come to the front for me to pick up my dog and I couldn’t wait 15 minutes so I had to leave and come back. The most recent time I was charged a no show fee from April even though my dog has been there 3 times since April and was never told I had a no show charge. What should be $55-$60 for a grooming has cost me $85-$100.

Not sure what happened yesterday but whoever groomed my dog made a mess out of him. Small terrier and his fur was so gapped and they either clipped his nails too short or injured him because he refuses to walk today. This is also the second time he was covered in cut fur when I got him. Not returning.

My family’s sweet dog had visited this establishment recently while we went on vacation. Upon picking him up he was covered in fleas, had what appeared to be scratches and or bite marks from other dogs that was not there prior to dropping him off. We are very disappointed with the service and care for these animals that this business supplies.

Disappointed. We had been coming to the Barking Lot for close to 2 years every 6 weeks religiously. Each time you come and are given an appointment, all it is is a confirmation that your dog will get groomed that day. My “appointments” were always early (usually around 9am) and sometimes I wouldn’t be called to pick up my dog until close to closing. There was one occasion when we first started coming that the grooming doors were locked and I had to go to the other unit where boarding was to find someone to find my dog. Sometimes, like the time before last, no one called and I finally called at 3pm and was told she had been ready. She spent 6 hours there that day. Their prices are going up, which is to be expected. But today, I was charged an extra $20+ bc my dog was supposedly matted on her back legs. No one called to discuss this with me that they were charging me extra. Just a nice surprise at checkout that initially no one could tell me why. I even made a comment when I came in today that she had a couple small ones and under her arms like she occasionally does bc of her coat and despite my bathing and brushing. This last time between appointments I was trying my best to maintain her coat despite them barely trimming her and leaving her longer than I would’ve liked. I always point this out if it occurs and I’ve been told it’s fine and to be expected. I’ve continued to come back, despite questionable cuts and not doing what I ask (like cutting off her breed standard beard a couple times), inconsistent pickup times, lack of communication, etc. Today, I canceled my next appointment and booked somewhere else. There were times she got a good cut and their prices were fair. But that doesn’t outweigh the amount of times I’ve been disappointed and that doesn’t excuse the consistently poor communication.

They always take such good care of my baby and are flexible with scheduling and almost always have boarding available with even just a few days notice. I started going here after my previous boarder closed and we were looking to give a local business a chance for grooming... could not be happier!!They even take the time to give my puppy a fresh bandanna every time she gets groomed. If you need grooming or boarding, give The Barking LOT a try!!

This was our first time ever boarding our dog and we are so impressed with how sweet the techs were to our pittie. Since it was her first time we were nervous about how she’d react, so they allowed us to bring her own bed and blanket so she’ll have something familiar. When we picked our dog up she was so happy and energetic, we could tell she enjoyed herself!! The owner, Mayra, is absolutely amazing. She cares so much for every animal there. She goes above and beyond to make sure your pet gets the best care while staying at The Barking Lot. We will definitely be coming back!!

I've been taking my geriatric golden retriever here for grooming for over a year now. She needs extra gentle and skilled care because of orthopedic issues. Myra (owner) and staff unfailingly meet those needs. I've observed the staff at work many times and find their professionalism, skill and love for the animals to be exceptional. They use quality products that don't irritate my dog's sensitive skin (or my sensitive nose). the shop is always immaculate. And, they are very good at filtering the dogs into compatible groups. I recommend The Barking Lot without hesitation.

Been taking our dog here since she was 13 weeks old. Now she’s 13 months and they charged me $25 more without any explanation. When I called to find out why there was a price difference the lady on the phone acted like I was bothering her. Wouldn’t give me any answers without asking multiple questions. Also told me my dog was “being bad”. If there was an issue I would’ve appreciated communication beforehand.

These lady’s are great! I have been taking my English bull dog to them since we got him 2 years ago. They do a great job and they truly love animals. We have boarded him twice and had a great experience both times. I will never forget the very first time we took him was only to get his nails clipped. He was terrified and had never had them clipped before. Mayra took the time to come to our vehicle and clip his nails without having to get him out. What other groomer would do that? She won my heart that day and we have used them ever since.

I took my dog here today and the staff was all very friendly. I was nervous because my dog hasn't been to a groomer before but she came back happy and clean. They even gave her a cute little neckscarf. This place is affordable and well worth it.

I have started taking my beagle Puppy Daisy here for Daycare and she is loving it. She loves the people working and she is loving playing with all the other doggies! I am super excited that she is friendly and playful and she has even learned to bark. Which being a beagle might be a negative thing 🤣🤣 The staff is really friendly and the price is great. Bring your dog 🐕so Daisy can play with them!

I have been bringing my Sami here for quite awhile now. At her last grooming no one was out front after waiting 10 minutes or so, and knocking on the door no one came. I proceeded to open the door to holler hello. When I opened the door it was a barely lit room, inside were two large dogs in crates that were too small, ( they could not even turn around) they were totally isolated from anyone and one of the crates was covered in and out with feces you could smell in the lobby. I will never bring another of my animals to this groomer.Sonja Brown

Today , I took out Great Pyrenees, Stella, to The Barking Lot for her first grooming experience.The owner was so very knowledgeable and spent time with me explaining details. The staff at The Barking Lot were very sweet , too.Stella looked absolutely wonderful , and not to mention , smelled wonderful too.We went ahead and booked our next grooming appt.I would highly recommend.Thank you for doing such a wonderful job with Stella!!

Supposedly did flea treatment not needed and not requested! And was charged for it. I treat my dog at very least monthly and always after grooming. He did not have fleas. It was total chaos in the office with several inexperienced young girls basically tripping over each other and not knowing what to do. When I dropped the dog off I wanted to discuss skin condition with groomerbbecause my dog has allergies. He had been to the vet the day before and the vet said his issues were definitely allergies because he did not have fleas or worms. Because of chaos in office I did not get the opportunity to do that. They took my dog back with my collar and leash. When I picked my dog up I had to ask for it when they brought him out without it. Which was a bad situation because there were other dogs in the office. They had to go hunt his collar and leash. Told them 3 times I was Sedman Hills resident, one of the young girls finally corrected the charges to reflect discount. Although Barking Lot was highly recommended I was absolutely NOT impressed.

I had my Husky, Danger, stay at the Barking Lot for a few days while I went on vacation. Great customer service. I was able to call during Danger’s time there, and the employee on the phone gave us a detailed description on how my buddy was doing. When I picked him up, I’m pretty sure they gave him a bath (he smelled great, and his fur was really soft), and I didn’t pay for one. They also cleaned his dog bowls for me! The only down side was that they did not have a camera to see how the dogs are doing during their stay, like I know some places are doing now a days. But, I’d trade no cameras for great service any day. Five stars for sure.

I was very impressed with the care and honesty of the Barking Lot. We took our Golden-doodle to be groomed as she was matted and come to find out the previous groomer did nothing but a top coat brush. Mayra (owner) spent 5 plus hours making sure she was groomed properly. They also stayed past closing time to ensure the customer was happy. They have truly earned my repeat business. Thank you

First time and while it took a little longer than expected, it was mostly our fault because of the long time between visits. This was our first time with our Cocker Spaniel there as well moved away from our other groomer. When I had a question about the charge for my dog, the groomer personally came out to meet with me and provided a reasonable explanation.

Mayra and the staff are absolutely amazing. She cares about our dogs so much. They have such a way with my babies!!! You can tell how much they love animals! We have a dog that was severely abused and was having issues finding a groomer that could deal with him. She did amazing with him!!!!! Love this place!!!!!
