What a great shop. We were heading out of town and needed some shoes repaired. $100 for two pair to get new tread. Considering these shoes only cost $10 used it was a great deal compared to $150 new pet pair. He did a great job.Thank you so much.

I had a pair of shoes that I loved and the shoe separated almost completely from the sole... I was going to throw away but a new pair was $175.... so I took to Doe River Leather... HE IS AWESOME !!! he repaired by sewing sole back on shoe body. The are like new !!!! We will never use anyone else for shoe repair !!!!! He is the VERY BEST, Don Meyer

Todd is always friendly when we walk in. He has done some shoe repair work and leather purse repair work and the work is always very good quality and the pricing is fair. Leatherwork is a specialty trade and it is nice to have someone local that is a master at it.

I don't let just anyone work on my cowboy boots and when I do I expect them to be right. Doe River gets them right. Nice guy with great prices. I've been around town and the other shops all over charge and never get them done when they say they'll have them. Doe River get it done and the work wears well. Pull those boots out of the closet and support small businesses with good prices. I promise you'll get great work at great prices.

My wife had a buckle break on a pair of boots. He was able to replace both buckles, so they matched, at a reasonable price. He did a great job. Wife is happy, which makes me happy. We'll definitely go back for any other leather repair needs.

Walking in I didn’t know what to expect. I had a expensive backpack that needed to be repaired. I just picked it up and it was ready on time for the price we agreed and in addition he polish the leather to make it look even nicer. I highly recommend this place.

I took my trail running shoes in for repair where they were tearing on the upper mesh. The staff was nice and since I payed up front they were happy to hold onto them until I got back from a few weeks of travel. The repairs looked great and are going to save me from having to buy a whole new pair of expensive trail shoes. I highly recommend this repair shop to anyone in need of shoe repair.

Friendly, but didn’t do what I asked and charged 5 times more than other shoe repair stores! I was upset at what I paid! Don’t be fooled. You can get what you need at an affordable cost. I now go to Shoe Wiz in Kingsport and don’t have to feel like I spent money that could have gone on a new pair of shoes!

Bad experience on 2 occasions. Sent me home with costly DIY products that I was unable to use by myself. This time I'll drive 50 miles or more to a shop that will actually do a minor repair.

Took in two pairs of MADE IN THE USA 🇺🇸 Redwing 9 inch loggers that had served me well for close to 30 years. The boot was separating from the soles. The cobbler took em apart and hand stitched em back together. I am so damn happy to have em back in service. I trust my life to my Red Wings. And I trust and am thankful for the cobbler and leathersmith at Doe River Leather Works.

This is a terrible experience but must be told as people can and will be deceived. I took a new pair of huaraches made of quality leather and asked if he would secure the soles and put a non-skid sole to avoid a fall. No problem I was told and charged $25.00. 2nd trip to pick up the shoes, not secured as I asked only part of shoe stitched and back of shoe at heel glued with no secure stitching as I asked. He praised shoes quality and assured me they would wear for years. Two (2) weeks took back for re-stitching and more glue because heel came off. 4th trip to Elizabethton to pick up shoes.5th trip to Elizabethton as shoe soles separated as not stitched as instructed and shoes totally coming apart. He grabbed the shoes and ripped off the heels and pulled apart soles from top of shoe. Shoes and witnesses available for evidence. Don't be taken as I assure you I was . Shoes were new when taken to shop, now totally destroyed and in pieces. I advised this review would appear and I have torn apart shoes to show for it.
