From my home to the Lodge was a beautiful and peaceful drive. The Lodge sits on a lake of nature with a beautiful sunset and each room has a balcony that overlooks the lake. Oh my God the fish, I can still savor the taste and the slaw is homemade, and the homemade banana pudding was made by a lady who has been making it for 40 years. One drawback was the elevators didn't work, because of remodeling they say? and upon checking in we had trouble I believe the lady was new but they said it's this new system that has been installed. We prepaid with a credit card on arrival we had to put up $50 dollars which was on 3-9-24 which should have been refunded by now which is 3-26-24,but I filed a dispute with my bank it's in process, but do not let the above mention stop or stall you from visiting the lodge. We will try again.

We visited the dining room only. We enjoyed sitting having coffee and dessert with friends from out of town. Our waitress, Nancy, was great and made us feel so welcomeFood & drinks: I liked the plum cobbler. It has the right amount of tart to it!

A nice hotel for what it is. The beds are comfortable. The room comes with a small balcony that features a view of the lake. The shower pressure was low, and our toilet had a slow leak.Public areas are very nice. The main lobby is impressive, and the restaurant is nice. Great views of the lake. Service was friendly. The public grounds around the hotel are nice. They have several walking trails, and you can easily walk down to the lake beach from the hotel.

I loved it here. If you're into fishing. boating and all that outdoorsy stuff, this is a fantastic place to stay. The restaurant has a good selection and the food was really good. I was here for a conference and there are small meeting areas on the floors. The only downside to centrally located elevators is its a long way to the end of the hallways.

Rooms: the shower temperature is either super hot or cold, everything else is fine. No iron, just a steamer. Balcony is great!Service: no daily cleaning of room unless requested, staff is niceLocation: smell is horrendous at times from paper mill just to the west. I wouldn't camp here.Hiking: there is a short trail in the woods that's marked well and has great signs along the wayRestaurant: great! Staff were friendlyBring your bike! I wish I had. There are gravel paths to try and roads in the park.Conference rooms: good, not enough outlets for laptops that we all brought. Catered meals were really good!Pedestrian network: not great. They expect you to drive from the lodge to the trail head on your vacation... I walked to it along the road instead.Walkability: Use roads to walk to trail head

Overall, this is a great place to stay... The rooms are decent. The deck over looks The water which is beautiful... The staff is wonderful and so helpful...The restaurant is exceptional. Food was terrific, waitress was kind and attentive...On another note,The basement, where the pool is, is creepy... Lights flicker, dehumidifiers running in the halls, electric boxes uncovered no signs to direct you to anything...

We only went to the restaurant. Party of 5 around 5 on a Tuesday. We were seated right away and had our drinks within 10 minutes. Our 5 entrees were 1) shrimp and grits with baked potato 2) shrimp tacos 3) chicken Alfredo with salad 4) new York strip, fries and okra 5) smothered chicken with 🥦. Every dish was delicious and very generous portions . The service was great and the view from the dining room facing the water is just beautiful.

The room was very nice and clean. There were several choices available with the continental breakfast, as well as breakfast service at the restaurant. The food is good. We enjoyed the pool.Rooms: The room was nice and clean. It had a good view of the lake. They do NOT clean daily. You have to exchange towels at the front desk.Food & drinks: The restaurant was good, not super but good, solid food. It's a bit more expensive than it would be at other places, but who wants to drive.

It's a beautiful view and its so relaxing. You would take a nap right there. They also have campsites near, you can cook on the grill, fish, swimming area, they have playgrounds for the lil ones. 💜💙 It's so much you can do . I go every other weekend now

We waited 40 minutes just for drinks when we got there. Didnt even offer to bring us water!! Waitress kept disappearing. What should have been a nice birthday lunch turned into an over 2 hour wait for food and drinks. The place is nice and clean but the service needs work!! The food runner kept helping us because she couldn't find our waitress and she really didn't seem to want to. Not because it was busy there either because most tables were empty. Food was mediocre. My friend sent hers back because it wasn't right and they didn't even credit the bill. Safe to say we won't be back until something changes.

Love the renovations! The indoor pool is perfect for a fall/winter getaway! Room renovations did not disappoint! Restaurant served delicious food but was a little slow to serve, but that was expected due to COVID restrictions, distancing. The bar is a great addition but would have liked the option to take the drink to the room/pool area as it was previously.

I am in love with this place. Nice little 2 night stay here and it was the quietest most comfortable I have ever been. Classy a place as it is, you can still wander down to the 24 gift/snack shop in the middle of the night in PJs and still get the same response from staff you would if you were in your Sunday best. Indoor heated pool, outside pool nice quiet little workout room and a killer view of the lovely TVA Pickwick Dam herself. If you are a fisherman you are set for for the duration here. Right on the water and can put in a couple hundred yards from where you sleep. Well patrolled safe area, stunning lodge and outstanding food and drinks. Ms. Nancy, Ms. Morgan and Ms. Ashley are some of the best waitresses and hosts in the state. And the chef is 5 star excellent. Right near the Battlefield, right near a famous fishing ground, right near perfect. I for one will be staying with them.again very soon.I Love this place and this folks, they made our trip very special.

Beautiful renovation of Lodge! Paper menus you can take home!! Still the prettiest view on the river to eat! Good food! (We had catfish sandwich and Rachael sandwich)Great waitress Kimberly!! We liked it so much we went there a few days later for breakfast...sad to say the wait staff never waited on us and we waited for 30 min. And then left!! No one even offered coffee!! Need to work on wait staff!! We love the view also are locals and would return again.
