We purchased outdoor furniture from Wayfair. It was very reasonably priced and fit our balcony. Unfortunately the seat cushions were very uncomfortable. I guess you get what you pay for.We brought the seat cushions to Stuff It Foam to see if they could change the foam. Barbara told me that it was only batting inside of them! No wonder our butts hurt when sitting on them.Don’t be fooled by the chaotic look of the store. Barbara was very helpful. She let me feel three different foams until we found the one that was just right. They completely the work in just a few days. We can now sit on our balcony without your butts hurting! Thank you!!!

I just picked up a vintage chair and it looks great. The fabric is a stripe and they did a great job in getting it straight. They took time to do it right and it shows. Thanks very much!

Terrible customer service coupled with equally terrible workmanship. We met with Stuff It in Mar 2020 to discuss reupholstering our vintage sofa, and selected and paid for the fabric at that time. In May, we gave them a call and learned that the fabric had not been ordered; they had written down the fabric information wrong - and not been able to find our phone number to contact us. Not a problem - mistakes happen, right?We were patient for a few more months, appreciating the impact that the pandemic had on small businesses, then started making regular calls in Aug. We were repeatedly told that Larry would begin work on the sofa "this week", only for a few weeks to go by with no progress. On one memorable occasion, Larry answered up the phone and promptly hung up when I identified myself; when I called back a few seconds later, another employee picked up - in mid-sentence with Larry - and then told me that Larry was not there. Wait...what?By Sep, our patience was exhausted. It was only when I asked Stuff It for a refund that I was told that the work would be completed the following weekend. Six months and over $800 later, our sofa was returned - featuring raw edges, lumpy and uneven cushioning, and a hundred crooked and visible staples. In addition, none of the elements that we had initially discussed with Larry - e.g., piping around the edges - were included. Though they had our sofa for months, it was clear that they only spent a few hasty hours on it, maximum. Which is a shame, because I was perfectly willing to forgive everything up to that point - hey, it's been a tough year! - as long as our sofa looked amazing.To describe this as "poor workmanship" would be an understatement. At the time, we were on the verge of an out-of-state move, so I didn't fight it - but in retrospect, I should have. It's been slightly over a month since we picked up the sofa, and we've already lost several of the staples and the fabric is starting to loosen; we'll need to get it reupholstered again in order for it to be usable.In short, we feel disappointed, cheated and deliberately deceived, and could not recommend Stuff It to anyone in good conscience.NOTE: For some reason, I can't upload all of my photos to this review. Our office needed foam rubber for our worn out office chairs and we referred to Larry. He put new foam in all of our chairs (8 of them) within a week. Before hearing about Larry we were considering getting all new office chairs, but he provided us a reasonable alternative that saved us a lot of money. Thank you Larry for a job well done!!

We had one cushion stuffed, hoping to try it out and bring the rest of our couch cushions back later. We're very pleased with the way the cushion sits now that it has the foam insert, however, my wife and I noticed a foul smell coming from the cushion once we returned it back to our home. It smells as though the foam that was used was not stored in a dry and well ventilated place. My wife and I are currently trying to mask the smell because it is very noticeable.

We were in need of an upholstery repair and this business stepped up to help when others didn't want the job. Larry, the owner, was extremely easy to work with and responsive to our needs.They picked up the sofa on Thursday evening and returned it Saturday completely repaired and re-stuffed, all for a reasonable price. So, if you have an issue with your upholstered furniture, give them a call.

Had my daughters dirt bike seat recovered. The employees were very friendly and did a great job. They worked with me and jumped right on it while I waited because of the long drive to get there. Will be using them again for all my upholstery needs.

They did good work making the foam pad for my mom’s therapy table. The only thing I can say negative about the place is that they have no concern for your time. I had to go back three times and then the product was made a foot short. It was then immediately corrected. Everyone there seems to hide out in the back and send the lady out to deal with you if you are upset. The place is a mess and my observation is that they need to hire more staff to accommodate customer levels.

We had an idea...& they completely exceeded our expectations! They completely restuffed and custom upholstered our entire sectional and ottoman. I was shocked to see a negative review..however it must be a pretty heavy chip to be carrying it seven years later..some people you just can't make happy LOL. Larry at Stuff It Upholstery is amazingly skilled. I needed new foam rubber for my sofa and recliner and my dog chewed up the end of one cushion in front part of sofa. I left my furniture with Stuff It Upholstery and the very next day it was ready! Larry is a true furniture magician! Pricing was fantastic and gave me some for free and will NEVER use another Upholstery shop.

Larry, the owner was very knowledgeable about all of the products and very patient helping my wife and I choose what kind of foam to use and what type fabric would be best for our needs. I did not realize how many types of foam there are so it was great to deal with someone that has the expertise in this industry that Larry has. I would definitely recommend going to see him if you have any thoughts of purchasing foam rubber or re upholstering your furniture.

I left two boat cushions at the end of May. Mr stuff told it would be done in 3 to 4 weeks. Today is August 18 and I just picked up the two cushions. The work is not up to par for as much as I had to pay for the two cushions. I feel as if I got taken for his sorry work. I called him twice asking if they were ready. When I went to pick the cushions up last week all he could say was well nobody has pressured me to get them done. Well mr stuff it. It's not my job to call and bug you. You should have the items done when you say they will be done. When I called to check on them all he could say was ur a lot nicer then most people. Which tells me that this happens a lot. PEOPLE BEWARE THIS GUY DOES NOT DO QUALITY WORK AND DOES NOT DO WHAT HE SAYS HE IS GOING TO DO.

I highly recommend and give "Stuff It Upholstery" company in Hixson five big stars!! I am telling all my friends now about the company and the owner Larry Skelf! He listens to what the customer needs done and then does a fantastic job on each and every chair his customers bring in to him! I brought into Larry's shop eight different chairs which my parents bought in the 1940's to the late 1950's. Each chair needed desperate help - sitting down in them you would sink deep into the chair - the cushions were so worn out that your back would hurt terribly after only a few minutes! Larry fixed each and everyone to such new condition, that no one in my family can get over that they are the same chairs!! Finally, finally all my chairs support a person in total comfort! What a shock it is still to sit down in one after all these 60 plus years of putting up with sagging seats! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the company!! I am so excited that I found this wonderful company and owner, Larry Skelf, to finally solve my chairs that were in such bad shape! He is such a great person to go to for help!

Called beforehand, and the stuff it team insured there was a lady I could speak with concerning my furniture, because this was no just furniture, it was memory of a happier time. I had left a $200.00 deposit for 3 things I needed done. He was going to charge me $400.00 total. I called on a regular basis and even went by several times always being told I will get on them this weekend. I am a patient person to a point. I gave this man nearly a year to get these done and got nothing but excuses. If you don't want the work or can't do the work DON'T promise it! His interest turned to wanting to know how I made them so he can make them and sell them. Guess it's all about the $$$.Poor business practice!

MY GOD Mr. Skelf is a good dude. I met him through a friend who had Mr. Skelf redo some booths in his restaurant. But I had him redo an old antique chair on my end. It was my great grand dad's , so I definitely wanted to keep it around. I cannot believe that this 50+ year old chair looks this good. Sure sits good too.

Local shop around the corner, we wanted to support local business's in this time of C-19. Called about getting a 13'"W x 24"L x 3" thick piece of foam for a small stool. He said they had some scraps and could probably find a piece.He cut the foam, sprayed glue on the board, that I provided, and covered foam with a thin sheer matting cover. All in all, 15 minutes later and a ten dollar piece of "scrap" foam was $40(???). So I would think twice about these guys!
