Bought wood chipper and had an issue. Champion says to bring it to their repair shop, which was here. Called and the person who answered said bring it in. Drove 45 minutes to the store. Talked to manager and he said too full, only one repair guy, not taking it over and over. He was totally rude and uncaring. Had nothing to say in the way of an apology. If I could give negative stars I would. Do not go to this store for repair and I would not buy anything here either if that is the kind of service you will get if something goes wrong. Sad way to run a business. Owner and management should be ashamed. It has only taken this one experience with the store to understand why the parking lot and store were both empty. No one wants to go here.

This is a pretty big Northern Tool store. They have lots of tools and equipment that you wont really find anywhere else. I was surprised to see steam cleaners and porta cool fans there. Those are things you cant really find in other stores. That being said, it's worth stopping by and taking a look around if you're in the area. You may find something you've been looking for, or at least, know where to get it when you do need it.

Helpful knowledgeable employees. If you own a Stihl product bring it here for service since they are the last ones left in the area that can actually service Stihl without having to bring it back several times to really fix it.

Northern Tool is my husband's and mine absolute favorite store for tools and shop-related equipment. From simple items like hand carts to high end air compressors and tool boxes, you will likely find it here. They have Hobart, an extensive array of Klutch tools, Milwaukee, Dewalt. The Gravel Gear wearable line and boots is good and they have frequent sales. They have a smaller Carharrt line, and the prices are better than you will find in outdoor or sporting goods stores. Sign up for their loyalty program and you will receive coupons in the mail. The only downside is this is the only store in the region, so if they are out of something, you have to order online or drive to Marietta, GA.

The lawn mower repair shop part of Northern Tool + Equipment in Chattanooga is not a repair shop I could recommend. After keeping my self propelled Honda lawn mower for a week, I was told they were unable to repair it. Even though they were unable to repair it, I was charged $180.36 for "labor charges." They must pay their repair people a lot per hour to charge a customer that much for not repairing the mower.

I can't offer a review of a product because I didn't receive it. The website showed a delivery date of 7 - 10 day from order date. After waiting a week with no communication from NT about shipment, I go online to find out the product is backordered and it will be more than a month from the order date before it arrives. I understanding stock and personnel issues, I do not understand or tolerate a lack of communication. That is no way to do business.

My new favorite store! In a day and age when good customer service is hard to come by, I can't say enough about Austin and Andrew. They are top notch! They enthusiastically assisted me in gathering equipment around the store, and making good suggestions for my business start up. The prices are right, and the selection is great. 10 out of 10 recommend for any DIY'ers or contractors in the area!

Beware of buying batteries at Northern Tool. I spent over $200.00 on a Interstate Deep Cycle battery and the assistant manager told me that after 30 days Nothern Tool of purchase, Nothern Tool doesn't warranty the batterty. From the time I walked in with the battery, he didn't want to offer me any assistance!!! I will never go back into a Northern Tool. Now, I understand why everyone suggest going to Batteries Plus.

I REALLY don't like to write negative reviews. But, in this case, I feel like I should - in fairness to fellow potential shoppers.The local store has no idea what happens online. Please take that to heart and think twice before ordering anything online.Several steps that the online experience said would happen never happened. On top of that, the manager at the local store was arragant and flippant and could care less if I got my order. He was beyond rude and the overall customer service level was at a solid ZERO.I will never buy from this place again.

Took there time doing work on my pressure washer thay had for 2 weeks then had it fixed for 2 days and did not call me to pick up I called and thay said it's been ready for 2 days but the paperwork wasn't done so I tell them on my way took me 1 hour to drive there and still had to wait 30 more minutes then when I get the bill it's twice the amount the service guy told me it would be I will not be using them again very poor service this happened at the Chattanooga branch and thay didn't even Apologize for the inconvenience or anything to fix it the Situation thay caused

Ordered 3 items online for in-store pickup. Received notification that 2 items were ready for pickup with no mention of the third item. This third item was "in stock" at the store at the time of the online order and the day I went to pick up my order, there was at least 5 on the shelf.I was informed by the manager that he could not fill my order on the 3rd item with in-store inventory due to "company policy." It took getting irate and threatening never to buy from Northern again for him to fill my order with UNSOLD INVENTORY SITTING ON THE SHELF. Abysmal customer service.I'll go anywhere else.

Warranty rip off! Do not get the warranty. They are shady and will not honor it. The man always says the fuel is contaminated, even if its taken in for another issue. This has happened every time we try to use the warranty when we purchase equipment from them. We have purchased several Husqvarna saws and needed two repaired and a small engine that needed repaired(the oil was contaminated). He uses this excuse so the warranty doesn't cover and and we have to pay for repairs that should be covered. he said oh I cant approve this because the fuel is contaminated.

I had to return a faulty piece of equipment. The manager was great, gave me a discount on a replacement, and took back the return item without any hassle. I would definitely recommend this place.

They had what I needed...very expensive, but this is only the 5th time I have shopped there. We will see after I return what broke on first try. A 1" drill bit that was supposed to last 9 x longer than others ( made in China) did not complete one of 2 holes that were pre drilled to accept it.It is an 10 mile round trip. Catherine Durham at the checkout was excellent.

Parking lot and restrooms were well maintained. Inside was stocked and temperature was cool. Employees were helpful in answering questions, knowledgeable from the phone conversations I heard, and one employee loaded an item on the cart for me. Great experience, will return.

Great store but there is one recurring problem. Way too many items listed in the daily emails are “not available at this location.” This has happened too many times to list but today the Ironton AAA batteries, 48 count, are not available for pickup at the Chattanooga store. Can’t even have them shipped to the Chattanooga store. Something is fishy about this and I can only conclude that Northern is pushing the ship to home option which is expensive and negates the good prices.
