I was browsing the houseplant section when the employee taking care of the plants (older man, can't remember his name, but maybe Ben) started to talk to me about the African Violets. He was very knowledgeable about all of the plants, and we had a great conversation about the store's selection. He helped me pick one out and explained the care. It was clear he was passionate about the plants, and I am excited to visit again!

If would love to give a locally owned small town hardware store a great review however it is undeserved. After my purchase I have witnessed some bad store/company policies that are detrimental to its customers. We work very hard for our money in these expensive times and don’t deserve to be taken advantage of by these large companies that make so much money off of the little guys. 0/5 stars and will not ever be back to this store or any of these of the like. Take caution, shop elsewhere where they won’t take advantage of you and your hard earned money.

EVERY time I go to this store I'm greeted like an old friend and help is not far behind. You'd think prices would be so much higher than Depot but I've found them the same or slightly higher. Actually save money with the cost of gas.Thank you guys and gals.

Got hurt while having to unload a 100 gallon propane tank myself because the employee was not up for being "helpful" very rude gentleman. Then had to damn near load the tank myself after being filled because again the employee seem led to not want to be so "helpful". You know Ace is the place with the "helpful" hardware folks! Or so I thought.

Stop here often and the service is usually good. This is my Home Town store so I come here often for garden supplies and plants in the spring. When I need that quick plumbing fix or electrical this is where I come. There's always someone quick to ask you if you need help finding something and will answer your question to the best of their ability...update 4/5/19 "Ace is the place". I'm all over Chattanooga TN trying to make a living, so I'm in and out of Ace Hardware Stores all over Chattanooga. My local Ace is naturally My Favorite, Let's Hear a Big One FOR East Ridge TN!!!! I've been fortunate having the same wonderful Young Lady at checkout for the past few months. Wish I could remember her name as she is sweet and a bit funny..Maybe that's because I try to make people laugh and smile. She's Definitely a people person and suited well for her job...Here in East Ridge, we're not Chattanooga...Here you build Customer Employee Relationship. Are you don't last long in any business in town..Maybe it's because of that making people laugh and smile thing I do....I do know it helps people settle in to the job their doing...Hey, "if you can't leave a Smile Behind" "Don't go ANYWHERE"..

They keep telling me I visited there one year ago and asking for a review but I go there every couple of weeks. It's my favorite Ace hardware in the area and it's also as close as the next to nearest one so I'm good. I had one occasion where one employee was not helpful at all and actually quite rude but other than that it's a great store. You can buy beer right down the street as well so that's a good thing.I was driving by today on my way home and I figured I would stop just to check a price on something. I didn't think they would even have it but they had it in stock the only problem is I can get over twice as much at Home Depot for the same price. I figured I would be right next to Home Depot tomorrow anyway so I just wait because hey man double the amount for about five or six cents difference. I'll take that deal anytime. Still like this Ace hardware though they often have things at Home Depot doesn't have.

I shop At Elders Ace across the region. This particular location is smaller than many so frequently doesn't have the same inventory. To be frank, they're not as friendly as many. However, it is still an Elder's Ace and the basic items you're accustomed to finding will be there.

Good variety and selection of tools so if you're in need of fixing something around the house, they'll most likely have it. Staff seems friendly but I wasn't asked if I needed assistance.

This is very clean ,well ran store .The staff are knowledgeable and make sure that your experience is nothing but good,and they go above and beyond the call to find what you need ,or want the first time ... It's always a joy to go to this hardware store as they treat you like family and are always attentive and thorough I highly recommend this store for your needs.i enclosed a picture of the parts I needed to get my shower reduced to the right thread's to assemble my shower on my antique ball&claw foot design bathtub I WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND A BIG THANKS TO THE FINE PEOPLE AT ELDERS ACE HARDWARE OF EAST RIDGE😀. We are actually big fans of Elder’s, however this location is completely dysfunctional. Employees seem lost, store feels disorganized, cashiers are unhelpful and even clueless, but most of all this location clearly suffers from extremely poor management. The experience shopping here is night and day compared to the other Elder’s locations, and the regional management would do well to make major leadership changes to get this store up to their usual standards. I cannot express enough how unhelpful and often clueless employees are at this location, it reflects poorly on an otherwise very professional brand. We now drive out of our way to go to the south side location, and would gladly drive to Home Depot before we would go to this location again.

I don't believe there is less than 30 days,a year that I do not go to any one of their stores. Best hardware store in the US. And if they don't have it..they will get it.Feb19...update. the spring flower selection is great right now.I believe they have a great fall sale. I wish they would do better about keeping in stock.Amazon is awful...but when your favorite hardware is OUT at 3 locations...No Choice

Would have given this store higher marks except for the fact that their website inventory is garbage. Twice I have looked an item up online at it is noted that they do have it in stock on site. I drive over there and there is no item in stock. Waste of gas and time. When this is mentioned to the employees the just say the site is wrong all the time. So if you find something In this store online best to call them and tell them to go put their hands physically on the item before you go there. Clean store with friendly service just need to have a better handle on what items are actually in stock.

When I was in the store and asked about chainsaw service, I was told to just go ahead and bring it in, no problem. When I arrived with my chainsaw, I was informed that they only service Stihl brand. This would ha e been helpful to know beforehand, either on the website or by customer service.

I have given this Ace several chances to redeem themselves & continue to be disappointed. Compared to other Elders Aces it has terrible customer service and poor selection. The last straw was when I called to ask if they sharpen kitchen knives, they said yes, we drove over and it turns out they don't -- and they seemed to not believe me when I said I called before I came. Management needs to look at the Southside location for how to do better. A change in leadership should be considered at this location.

Very nice and organized store near our home. The associates were very professional and friendly. They helped me get my stuff to the car and struck up a conversation with me. Down to earth store and people. Update: After going there for about 3 months now, I would say their prices are higher than Lowes for the same quality of products. I did have a somewhat snappy evening manager once when I asked about a mislabeled price. I still like the store bit due to the rising prices, I am favoring other places for larger orders.

Great local store. Affordable, convenient, and the customer service is beyond anything a consumer could reasonably expect. I shop here very frequently and when my painting project went awry the manager, Chris, went above and beyond to make sure we could finish the project. Thank you Chris! Always loved going to Ace. Unfortunately, it seems like 1 or 2 employees are working while the rest are congregated in the paint dept, cutting up and basically "hanging out" with each other.

It's funny when you walk in you have someone sitting in the middle of the aisle asking if he can help, but won't get out of the chair to actually help you. I guess because it's neighborhood located, they fell like they can overcharge on everything.

I was in a hurry to get a key made for my grandson before he went to work. Directions were on point and i received service as soon as i walked through the door. In and out in 5 minutes and in that short amount of time i was treated with great customer service.

They have some really young folks in the evening working that is good to see but it is hard to fond them sometimes but good too see them teaching good work ethics to our youth. Other than being a little pricey it's worth the convenience.
