Very crowded with merchandise. Found a few things for a decent price. Ended up leaving about 300 dollars sitting in the shoe isles, I'm not buying anything from a store that I can't use the restroom at!

If i could give 0 stars i would.they charged my card twice for something I only bought once (the same cashier is the one who told me a couple weeks ago when i tried to return a pair of pants that i had not been there to purchase said pants the same day i bought them there while looking at my receipt that says the Athens location) so I went today and called the manager up front and the manager says that we have to wait to let everything process then go from there and the people working there act like they have better things to do you have to wait at least 30 minutes to get someone to help you or answer a question and very little room to squeeze between racks and the manager was very rude about the situation when I just wanted an answer and the same woman that this happened with was checking out people again today.

All around nice sports store. There was not any customer service people in the store to help you. We did find some sneakers and a Hoodia on sale. The store feels very crowded and can use some clean up. Our cashier was kind and no issues.

Bought dumbbell weight rack for home gym equipment place is expensive yes they have new or used treadmills pricey thought. Outdoors clothing high dollar brands products etc.

The facility is not aging well and honestly from interior to exterior cleanliness was not good at all. Many customers in the parking lot thought the same as we did that they were closed when we arrived at 7 pm due to poor lighting on the exterior.

I had an amazing experience here, employees were super nice and helpful. But my only concern was that their was like 15-20 flashing lights inside the store. As an epileptic I had to look down the whole time and wear sunglasses, to preventhavinga seizure, when i started getting the headaches i left immediately. I just want this safety concern to tobe know for everyone's safety.

I had a positive experience last January when going to pick up a kayak that was on sale according to the website. The kayak I wanted was there, and the employees did not bother me yet were available and helpful when I needed the kayak taken down to sit in and try out, then carried to the register and finally to my vehicle.

Employees always seem very skeptical of all customers... Seemingly they will blatantly follow you around the store as if they are anticipating that every customer is a shoplifter. In addition, employees do not have a friendly nor welcoming attitude. I do not even shop there anymore due to the atmosphere that is created on account of the typical attitude that their employees possess.

The first time I shopped here they sold me a bike basket with broken attachments and outright told me that they don't inspect everything that comes into their store. When I came in today to purchase another item for my bike there was no place out front to lock my bike so I brought it in the store and pushed it off to the side and the cashier told me to take the bike outside or they would deny me service. They gave me some story about how it was a safety hazard if a customer stumbled over it. I've been in there several times. My bike isn't the trip hazard they should be concerned about. They didn't even try to recommend a safe place to secure my bike. They were both rude, unprofessional and should not be involved in customer service in any way shape or form. I fail to see how one can bring a live animal into a PetSense but I can't bring a bicycle into a sporting goods store. They're just not bright or courteous people. Just another experience in "The Friendly City". gotta love that "Southern hospitality".

Great store. Great employ and the GM was great. Worth the 90 minute drive. Bought lots of work out equipment. The prices were exactly as stated in the ad that grabbed out interest.

It was my first time visiting the store and didn't give myself much time to look around but it was a nice experience! And the workers were great to help looking for what I was needing. But there wasn't much for toddlers. So nothing against the store! But there was a lot to choose from! I will be back and I will give myself more time to shop the next experience! After waiting for about fifteen minutes to buy ammo no one came to unlock the display. They were upfront talking. After being told they would be “right there” I walked back to the ammo again as they continued their conversation. Only after I walked back to the front and someone else went to check out did they decide to take care of their customers. I decided I didn’t need anything they had.

No customer service at all! Was trying to purchase shoes, & could not find anyone to help us with our questions. I waited at the cash register for 10-15 mins to ask the cashier to get us some help and she took her time talking to the man in front of me. Never did get any help, so we just left. They could have had a sale, if they actually had people working! This is always an issue when we go to Dunham's.

No fishing licenses... Stopped in to pick up something and thought I might as well renew my fishing license. I was surprised that a store that specializes in sporting goods--including a fair sized fishing & hunting section--did not sell fishing licenses. You can easily get them on line so not a big deal; still surprising nonetheless. Had to stop at Walmart across the road for something else--and picked up a license there in just a couple of minutes. Picky's Recommendation: Dunham's is good for most anything sports (except a fishing license) and worth a stop--reasonable prices, good selection, friendly service.

The manager (Angela i think) told me that a voter's registration card would suffice as a way to buy a rifle while i waited on my hard copy DL to come in. I went through the trouble to get my nee voters card and she turned around and said that it wouldnt work without my hard copy. In short, it has taken me almost 2 weeks to purchase a rifle. I Will no longer purchase a gun from this store again. Utterly P O'd and disrespected.

I have been in the Athens store 4 times in the last year first time wanting to buy a gun along with three other people after waiting 30 minutes for help we all left went to Benton shooters and bought guns. Ben back three other times one for golf clubs other for boots shoes my point is I never spent a dime in that store because they never have people working to help you in the store. It’s nothing short of a miracle the store is still open. If I were the owner I would close the store are hire better general manager and manager. Worst store ever. !!!!!

Nice large sporting goods store. Lots of brand name stuff so expect higher prices. Clearance sections arent much to talk about and the coupon on the receipt pretty much restricts you from using it on the majority of stuff. Staff are always friendly. Not usually a crowded place. Other than that, again, its a nice large store.

First time ever going n went to buy ammo. Never had one person wait on me. I stood there bout 10 mins til I finally asked another customer to help me get what I needed. I was actually thinking about buying another gun until I stood there forever with no help, so they missed out on an extra $500.

This is the worst store in athens never noOne to help you on floor went to by a gun and stod back at the guns for 20 to 30 minutes my husband went to look for some o E no one was on floor then we went back up front there was a guy at check out I said to him are you the only working he said yes then a gril said that they had been there all the time I said no my husband came looking for someone so she basically called him a lier she looked at me and said will did you want to look at something we said no not now put you need to put a bell or some that way your customers can call you I will never shop there ever again

Super friendly staff, they helped me pick out the right shoe at the right price. They have a big selection of kid's and women's shoes as well. I strongly advise everyone to go by and check them out!

Terrible service..everything is way overpriced..clearance items are higher then original price....there was only one nice person and none of the employees had barrier mask on. I suppose they don't care if they spread the covid 19...however my understanding is that it is a state requirement for retail stores that have direct contact with customers. That didn't stop them from getting in everyone's face and when I ask him to back off the manager told him not to help me load that I could do it myself...All because I ask him not to get in my face...I had to tell him 3 times before he moved. I ended up loading a 300lb weight machine by myself.

The restrooms stay in disrepair. They have a great selection of guns and reasonable prices. My daughter and I like to go in here but the bathrooms are always either filthy or out of order altogether.
