We have been coming here literally for 40 years. John the owner is one of kindest, friendliest, helpful hotel owners I have ever met. We would never stay anywhere else. Very clean Room. Great Rates. Great location! We traveled with 20 family members and had 7 rooms! We all just love it here!Rooms: Very clean and spaciousNearby activities: The Bad Lands are very close so convenient! Nice place to stay at a good rate. Room was one of the cleanest I've stayed in. Bed was soft and more comfortable than I first thought it would be since I'm used to a firm mattress. The gentleman at the front desk was one of the nicest people you could ask for. Rooms are not fancy with tons of amenities but I can't say I missed anything except maybe a mini fridge. Overall I would be happy to stay here again.On a side note the motel is almost right beside wall drug and a couple of restaurants in that same area.

Very clean room! Very quiet on Main Street. Friendly staff & very accommodating! Good value for the price. Coffee, juice, & pre-packaged rolls/muffins are included.Would have been perfect with a mini-refrigerator. ( Hosts were gracious to give us ice & put our ice packets in their freezer.)Pet friendly is one of the reasons we decided to select this motel.The grounds/landscaping are immaculate & well maintainedwhich can be a great indicator of what to expect in the rooms.

Great stay during long road trip -- very comfortable mattresses, lovely lighting inside, location felt quite safe. Very kind and considerate owners and staff.Would absolutely stay here again if I'm in the area. Love the cool little rock and petrified wood display in the lobby, too!Perfect location in accordance to Wall Drug and the Badlands, and also perfectly priced. Thanks again for providing a great stay!

Top notch customer service! We needed a room last minute while we were traveling through. John accommodated our very late check in. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Enjoyed a nice walk down main street in the morning before heading out again. You can't beat the price, but more importantly you won't beat the friendliness and feeling welcome and appreciated.

Riding the Badlands with my buddies from Texas, and Germany, this hotel and the owner/manager were absolutely on top of customer service and kindness. He came out to greet us as we rolled in and supplied us with water and local advice about dining and supplies. In the morning there were towels available for our motorcycles. We couldn’t be happier with our experience here. This is a great choice for cleanliness and a very comfortable night’s stay!! 5 ⭐️

Very clean, well maintained, super friendly, Jon called to find out our arrival time seeing we originally had planned to have a late check but it was later than originally given. Jon said just call when 10 minutes out so he could turn on the lights. Outstanding customer service!Even though this is an older Inn they take pride in making their guests feel welcome and keeping it nice. Location is GREAT from downtown everything is in walking distance.The complimentary Breakfast was coffee juice and donuts. We did not do seeing got on road early both days we stayed at the Inn.Nearby activities: Shops and Wall drugWalkability: Walking distance to Main Street-

Sunshine Inn is a privately owned older motel located less than a block from Wall Drug Store. There are not a lot of amenities here but it is clean, comfortable, well cared for and the price is right. The staff were all great and very helpful with information about the area. There was coffee and packaged breakfast snacks in the office each morning. Definitely a good place to stay in Wall.

Booked this place last minute over the phone and was pleasantly surprised by its quality upon arrival. Room price is highly competitive, the lowest among the three I called. Our room is comfy and everything is very clean. Simple Breakfast is provided for free from 7-10 am with coffee, boxed juices and wrapped sweet pastries. Every staff we encountered is nice and helpful. Highly recommend for your visit to the Badlands.

Honestly the rooms are older but given what it is, the Inn works. It's just not a premium hotel. I still give the experience an overall 5 because the person at the front desk was spectacular and very accomodating. Location is perfect next to Wall Drug (like a block) but just be prepared for it to not be a perfect shiny new place. They do very well with what my guess is a very frequently used and older establishment.

Very clean, well maintained, super friendly staff! Jon at the front desk called to find out my arrival time so he could turn on the lights in my room 10 min before arrival and he offered to carry my suitcase up the stairs. Great customer service!Even though this is an older, vintage motel, they take pride in making their guests feel welcome and keeping it nice.The coffee is better than wall drug. Breakfast was prepackaged pastries.

Wow what a great place! The staff is amazingly friendly and accommodating. The room was super clean and well kept and the bed was very comfortable. The exterior also very attractive (flowers, nice paint colors, etc) and well maintained. It doesn't have all the small amenities in the room thatyou might get elsewhere but they are all available in common spaces or by request (microwave, coffee, hair dryer, etc). We chose to stay here because the rate was very competitive with other chain motels in town but it had much better reviews - and it deserves all of them! Definitely the best motel I've ever stayed in and a great value. We enjoyed our stay very much!

I called the front desk at an unreasonably late hour to book a room and was greeted by and treated with nothing but kindness by the agent, Lorry (spelling?). She was so sweet despite being on the graveyard shift and in the morning, she showed me some of the crystals and fossils she collected while rock hunting. Comfortable room and cozy, small-town atmosphere. Thanks, Sunshine!

A great place to stay. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was large size, quiet and comfortable.We had just rode our motorcycles through Badlands NP and it was very hot that day 115 or so. We were hot and ready to cool down, check in was a breeze and the rooms were nice and cool. Shortly after unloading the bikes I stepped outside and the hotel had already provided us with a bucket of cleaning rags to the front door for the motorcycles.Very much enjoyed our stay and we were only a 2 min. walk from downtown.Will stay there again.Thanks for the pleasant stay and warm welcome.

The place looked very clean and well kept on the outside. We called about availability and price and it was cheap in comparison to the chain hotels. We drove through the parking lot looking to park my truck and little utility trailer but the lot was small and I didn’t want to take up too many spaces so we parked on the side street. As we were unloading our luggage a guy walked over (I think he was the owner) and said he just saw us drive through and told us he would show us where we could park on the hotel parking lot. The beds were comfortable. The water pressure was great and the place was very clean. He gave a military discount which I appreciated. Great value, Great Place. Do yourself a favor and stay here. What a wonderful place to stay. Our plan was to visit Wall Drug, the Badlands, and then drive a little further down the road. After Wall Drug it was getting late and I was tired, we happened to park across from this place and decided why not. The lady in the office was so friendly, the rates are fantastic, the room is very clean, the beds are so comfortable and the water pressure is amazing. This is the place to stay.

The staff were the kindest, friendliest folks we met in Wall, and they made our stay that much more memorable. The room was very clean, the beds were pretty comfy, and the rates were very affordable. They allow pets for a reasonable fee, which was great for our cross-country move. Convenient location for seeing Badlands National Park (incredible), and if you feel compelled to see Wall Drug you can walk over (it was fine). If you're looking for a place to stay in the area, this is where you want to go!

Owner/manager is awesome, goes way over with courtesies of information. The room was VERY CLEAN. No in room microwave or fridge, but available. Great for adults looking to get a comfortable room, clean linen, very clean bathrooms, and can't express the overall cleanliness enough and around the property too. We're used to staying at Hiltons, but I'd stay here again definitely!!
