Decided that I would stay in the town of Wall and needed a place to stay. There were a few motels and hotels in the area, but Econo Lodge came up on Expedia as being the cheapest one. The lady at the check-in desk was extremely pleasant and it didn't take long at all, to have a key sorted out after a signature. I was really impressed with the room. It was very clean, spacious and the shower worked perfectly! Super comfy beds and a nice takeaway breakfast in the morning. Really enjoyed my stay here, and would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay the night.

As long as you lower your expectations before arrival you won't be disappointed. Room was very musty smelling when we arrived, we were able to leave the door open for a couple hours which cleared it up. The outdoor pool was clean and warm, the kids liked it. Room / beds were motel level quality but you don't have many options in Wall. Breakfast was a bag meal with fruit/water/frozen croissant sandwich. Nothing special but it fit the bill and we had no issues.

This motel certainly was a motel. An adequate and comfortable place to sleep, but missing a lot of the polish that would probably be a turn off to a fussy traveler. The bathroom felt unchanged from the 80s, the provided breakfast was mostly an edible, but sad, half-thawed breakfast sandwich, the vent above the door let in noise from everyone who walked past. But the bed was quite comfortable and the TV was good quality. Just know what you're checking into and it'll be a fine stop along your travels.Nearby activities: Wall Drug

The rooms were comfortable. They had a good take away breakfast. Easy walking distance to everywhere we went in Wall. The reason for the star deduction was I booked this hotel specifically because it said it had a heated pool. Maybe it's not heated in summer since it's generally warmer, but it was quite cold when we were there. It was only warm enough to tolerate the cold water 1 of the 3 days we stayed.

Nice stay. Clean rooms. Didn't use pool but looked well taken care of. Had bag breakfast with orange, Danish, water, microwave croissant egg sausage cheese. Nice change from waffle toast cereal.Noteworthy details: Close to Wall drug tourist trap. Wall was nice little town.

Rooms were decorated in 1985 and never again. Bathroom wasn't exactly clean and we had dead crickets in the corner of bathroom. And a dead cockroach right in front of the bed. Not sure how housekeeping missed it. Waterpressure from the shower is almost non existent. Took forever to wash my hair. Shower head is set very low I almost had to crouch down to rinse my hair. Nothing fancy or memorable.Nearby activities: Town is extremely crowded. Across the street from our hotel were 3 other hotels in a row. Next door were two gas stations next to eachother. Other side next door were 2 more hotels right by eachother. Behind our hotel was an abandoned grown over slightly concerning parking lot and a very dark alley. Almost no parking at any establishments. Just extremely close together and very small town.Noteworthy details: There was only one place to eat that was open after 6pm. We received no service and walked out. Two gas stations right by hotel had no cooked food. Cold sandwiches were half frozen. Only thing hot for choice was the nachos cheese sauce and coffee. After 11hrs in the car we had soda and candy bar for dinner.

Room was okay. Flooring look updated, beds were comfortable. Had a mini fridge and microwave but I think that cost extra. But the one thing that completely ruined the stay was they had the pool closed to apparent lightning. There was a small storm early in the afternoon and more rain way late at night like midnight but no rain from 6 pm till midnight or so but they still would not open the pool. My kids were looking forward to the pool after a 9 hour car ride to get there. We asked the lady at the front desk multiple times but she refused to let us swim. Absolutely ridiculous! All while the best western across the street had tons of people swimming outside. And we even even told the lady the hotel 10 feet away had their pool open but again she still refused. If you don’t want your kids trip ruined please stay across the street at the best western and stay far away from this place. I will never return here again. Completely ruined the trip.

Very clean rooms for Econolodge. Their grab and go bag breakfast worked for me. The staff is great, helpful, and courteous. The only complaint is that the bathroom is small.Nearby activities: Badlands National Park

I was a little nervous after seeing a lower review score but I'm glad we decided to risk it. The room was clean, had older fixtures, and older beds. They must be in the process of updating their rooms because one of the three rooms we got had new comfy beds, updated shower, and bigger TV. There were some odd stains on the curtains but nothing gross. We were able to get a good night's sleep to continue our trip. The kids loved the pool which was cool and clear.

If you are staying someplace in a budget you usually get what you expect, but i was pleasantly surprised with our stay here. The room was clean, had freshly painted walls, and more than enough space for our family. The grab and go breakfast was legit (microwave sandwich, water, fruit, and a pastry.) Didn't use the pool, but it looks nice. Not the Ritz, but a bargain for the price.

Very crowded town but the hotel was nice. Stay here, not Best Western. The lady at the counter was extremely nice. I got my room quickly and had no issues with our service dog (some hotels still try to restrict her, which is illegal).🏔️ I want to add that some of the low reviews are a bit over critical. This hotel is a great stay to get you a place to sleep when traveling a long way. There may be things that aren't the same as your home, but it's a hotel, everyone's preference is different. Me, I like a loud AC, it drowns out hotel noises. The pillows are hotel pillows, if you're that picky, travel with your own pillow. Complaints about a hotel being safe in a reported lightning storm. Your poor kids couldn't use the pool? Too bad. Fill the tub for them, and thank the hotel for their concern. An 86° heated pool in SD June/July heat is not going to be cold. You should be checked for anemia. We loved our bag breakfast. It was basic, reminded us of our old school lunches and we got to take it on the road with us! I'm sure it cost more than a few eggs and a piece of toast. As far as room smells, if you want them to smell like your home, bring a can of spray (or a dirty cat lol whatever your house smells like). Enjoy the different experiences people, that's the point of traveling.

This area is very packed. We stopped there in the end of June every single hotel on that street was packed. It’s a small town so there is not that many of them. This place is about 10 minutes away from Badlands NP. That is why we stopped there. But if knew that it is not hot there in June I would rather camp.We reserved a room but when we got there it was a smoking room. They didn’t have anything else. Well it was fun 😂 I think that my skin absorbed some of that smell.Overall room was clean and everything is working. Towels and bathtub was clean. So that is a big plus.

Room was outdated, the air quality in the room was very poor. AC full of dust and spider webs. As soon as you stop AC you smell a stale cigarettes smoke. Had a storm the night we came and lots of water went into the room under the door. We had to put towels under to stop it coming further. The night we came, a very kind and cheerful younger lady was working in the office and she helped us with additional towels to fight the water. She was the only highlight of the stay. In the morning, an old lady with a short gray hair was very unkind and grumpy. Quite disrespectful too! NOT recommended stay for sure.

Booked reservation on-line saying we have a dog 🐕. The lady said oh I'm sorry we don't have any pet friendly king size rooms. I have to charge you an extra $13.50 for a 2 queen room. I don't get how this is our fault but ok. The rooms were nice and big. Shower water was luke warm. The shower if your 5'5 or taller is not good. Easy and convenient to get too. Does have a pool.

Wall Drug, Black Hills, Rushmore bound family tripping stop over.Simple, but clean and updated rooms. The desk staff was very pleasant, and the room rate is budget friendly.Pool is dated but in great shape & clean. No hot tub, but watcha gonna do?Plenty of parking and the motel is back off the main drag enough to not be noisy. No central air, but the window AC unit was new and had no problem keeping up.

Room was not clean and staff was not helpful. Tons of flies in the room and a smell. Used rags in the trash can and bathroom had not been cleaned, as someone left behind their #2 in our toilet. Water faucets leaked and were loose, as well as dead bugs on the floor. When asked for something to kill the flies with I was given *OUTDOOR ONLY: WASP, HORNET, and SCORPION SPRAY* so probably not the safest thing to use in a small room. Very disappointed with our stay and we will not be back.

This place was definitely old and rundown. For some reason our room smelled strongly of urine. The pool was rather cold, but it was nice to have after a long day of travel. It was a good thing thatwe had our own towels because we were not told if they provided towels for swimming and none were visible.

Easy to find, right off of I-90. About a seven minute walk to Wall Drug.Check-in was easy. Room was quite clean & fresh. Staff was both friendly & competent. Bed was softer than I would have liked, but I slept fairly well.Breakfast was a slight disappointment *to me*. Heavy on carbs, & I'm diabetic. For most people it would have been fine. It was great for my wife.I'd stay here again.

I am going to give you the rundown on how great this place is. We got to the hotel they gave us our key card and when we walked into the room we can tell it is going to be nice. We decided to lay on the bed and they are so comfortable. Then we went in the pool in 40 degree weather but the pool is heated so the water was very warm. Then we went to bed and we went to go get breakfast and they have donuts, bagels, omelette's and so many more this and it was delicious !!. It is a budget hotel but it doesn't feel like it one bit.

Great place, location is very accessible to Wall Drug. Place was full, but staff was friendly and not overwhelmed. Pool was nice and clean. Rooms were clean, wish we could of got a king bed but not their fault. The breakfast in the morning was great, the lady working the breakfast kept everything full and also kept it clean. Good place to stay.

It is ok. Room were clean but the beds are uncomfortable. Whe I left the hotel I noticed a powder behind the bed only to find dead insects (boric acid) good thing I put my dogs in another room. But the mini fridge and microwave was clean.
