Lovely hotel that is conveniently located only 20-30 minutes from the Badlands. The hotel room was clean and smelled pleasant. The clerk who checked us in was very nice and sociable, who gave us a nice welcome in. I believe his name was Scott or Peter?Breakfast was provided at the Badlands Saloon and the pancakes we had were delicious! They also gave us a coupon for a free drink there, whether that be soda or alcohol. As a young woman I would have felt extra safe if there was a chain lock on the top of the door as commonly found in hotel rooms, though I'm not sure if this is due to the entryway being outside instead of inside.Regardless, would stay again, 10/10. šŸ˜„

Room great. Staff great. Room heater noisy, and I could hear It even through my ear plugs when trying to sleep. One night the people in the upstairs room above me were quite noisy but I called staff and they called the noisy people and eventually it got quiet. Beautiful room with nice amenities with the exception of the coffee which tasted like water. Overall I was satisfied.Rooms: Mostly a great room with nice amenities and a huge tv. But being that I'm not much of a techy, I had a really hard time figuring out how To change the channels on the tv!Nearby activities: My plan was to spend a couple of days in the badlands, and it's only about a 7 mile drive into the badlands from the motel.Safety: Nice locks on door but very hard to Turn the dead bolt.Walkability: Short drive to the downtown.Food & drinks: Motel gave me three coupons, 1 for One free breakfast, which I couldn't eat because i'm gluten intolerant, One for a free drink but not much to choose from, And 1 for a percent off from a store that wasn't open any time I passed by it.Noteworthy details: Thought it was a very nice looking room And loved having the microwave and refrigerator.

The room was very nice and a comfortable bed. Great location. Unfortunately we had two issues. We couldn’t shower due to no hot water. Our other issue was I paid for a night with my card. We decided to stay an extra night due to weather. When my boyfriend went down to add the extra night he was told that my card was declined and that we needed to pay exact cash for both nights. The charge went through on my bank account. It was never declined. Talked with my bank and they said it went through just fine. So we paid double for one of the two nights. So $335 for two night stay. The lady at the counter was rude to my boyfriend as well. Will stay elsewhere if we stay in Wall again.

Edited:I was not talked to directly by ANY management, unsure when you spoke to me as you ā€œclaimā€ or if you’re just trying to sound better in a review. I only had 3 different people I had interacted with, all of which were unpleasant. I called NUMEROUS times about charges on my card on March 11th (AFTER I checked out) and was told I was going to get a call back from the manager or General manager, to which I didn’t and still haven’t… so once again nobody resolved anything. I had waited a few weeks and I had to contact my bank for a dispute, not because I was not agreeing to paying for my dogs. So, once again, misinformation by you and your hotel. my number was given to the same front desk person who had checked me in because I had been charged after I left. I was dissatisfied not for the fact I made the staff aware almost a week prior to arrival that I had THREE dogs, therewas a note on file and the person I had called the week prior had even given me a discount, but the approach about it due to no communication was what upset me. I’m unsure how it is unfair you accommodated when it was approved prior to me even getting there? Once again to the continuous trying to blame policy, YOUR EMPLOYEES AGREED PRIOR to me even being there, can’t quite justify that since nobody disagreed. I was made aware on the charges for the dogs, which I consented at the time of being charged, but didn’t consent to being charged after I left... I am unsure if you, as the GM, aren't being made aware of the problem or not, but I have tried getting in contact Multiple times and have failed to ever get past the front desk about the overcharge issue. unsure about the issue with resolving and horrible approach, similar to this review response from the hotel owner. But thank you for the misinformation to try to cover the horrible stay and experience during and after the stay at your hotel. I stand by my review.————————————Do yourself a favor and pick any of the surrounding hotels. This has been one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. The service from the front desk, staff, management, owners, just was out of hand. I am HUGE into traveling, especially with my dogs, and I have never had such an issue than I did here. The service right away was negative and unwelcoming. It started with being disrespectful about me having dogs, when they advertise they allow pets. I had called almost a week prior to inform of me having three dogs and needing a pet room. The woman working kindly gave me a discount even on my nightly rate and then made sure I had a friendly pet room. when I arrived, it was a totally different ballgame. Hostile and unwelcoming right away by doubting me being able to have three dogs, even though multiple others had dogs there. She then made a comment about me paying more for my dogs than the room because to THEIR CHARGES. I just agreed and moved on. The night shift was even super disrespectful as well. We had brought our dogs back inside after having to take them everywhere all day because they put us next to the 24 hour door that slams and shakes the hotel room door constantly, the dogs got freaked out. The original woman who checked us in stopped me to ask about my review I wrote (I hadn’t wrote one yet) and said the owner wanted to refund me. It was beyond unprofessional to do this by confrontation infront of a coworker and my family upon returning for the day. Which I did receive partial refund, as she stated, but then of course after I left they charged me the exact refund amount, even though they sent me an invoice stating it was a refund. I called NUMEROUS times and was told the owner and manager had my contact info and never received a call. It has been weeks and I have never gotten through to anyone past front desk and have gotten no call from the owner/manager. Save yourself the time and apparently money and stay somewhere else since they can’t honor a refund and authorize your card after they already send an invoice.

Decent hotel for a quick one night stay. Quiet and good location. We chose this one because it is pet friendly and the photos showed some updates to the rooms. We were disappointed by the overall cleanliness of our room. There was dust covering the wall outside the bathroom and the floors hadn't been cleaned recently. I used a towel to wipe up some water on the floor and it was black. I wasn't comfortable walking around without shoes or socks. The bathroom was nice and somewhat updated but not very clean. The only real benefit to this stay was the location proximity to Badlands National Park.

Upon arrival, I was informed by the front desk that the room I had reserved through Priceline was not available on the ground floor. This was already a disappointment, but what followed only exacerbated the situation. To add insult to injury, there was no elevator on the premises, making it impossible for me to access the upper floor due to a medical condition, that restricts my ability to lift heavy objects, such as my suitcase. When I explained this predicament to the front desk attendant, rather than offering a solution or showing any empathy, she remained indifferent and unhelpful. Even after expressing my need to cancel the reservation due to the lack of accessibility, I was met with a flat refusal, leaving me feeling trapped and undervalued as a customer. She then proceeded to call her manager/owner and had the phone on speaker. In a desperate attempt to resolve the situation, I informed the staff that I would block my card to prevent any charges from being made as they seemed unhelpful. Instead of addressing my concerns or attempting to find a mutually agreeable solution, the front desk attendant opted to escalate the issue to the manager/owner, painting me as the villain simply for advocating for my rights as a paying guest.Regrettably, my interaction with the manager/owner yielded no resolution either. Instead of addressing the accessibility shortcomings or offering compensation for the inconvenience caused, I was met with accusations of rudeness and warnings against seeking accommodations elsewhere in Wall, SD—a display of unprofessionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction. She also seemd to believe we would steal anything within the room, not sure where she got that idea from since we hadn't even checked in yet.The abysmal level of customer service exhibited by America's Best Value Inn in Wall, SD, is not only disappointing but also potentially discriminatory, given their failure to accommodate individuals with disabilities. Such negligence is unacceptable and may warrant further action. In conclusion, I strongly advise against patronizing America's Best Value Inn in Wall, SD, as their disregard for customer well-being and accessibility needs leaves much to be desired. Instead, I urge fellow travelers to seek lodging elsewhere in the area, where their comfort and dignity are truly valued. We ended up staying a much more comfortable hotel in Rapid City.

After driving a long ways, we were eager to rest up. The hotel staff were kind enough to give us restaurant recommendations. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our room was by the street, however, we didn't hear any noise. My only complaint was the shower did not drain, which was disappointing. However, my overall experience was great, and I would still recommend staying here.

Just what I needed for my overnight stay on my cross-country drive with a great location right off the freeway. The front office staff was very friendly during check-in and checkout. Room was basic, but spacious, and they allow dogs, which is a huge plus. There was tons of parking, which was great since I was towing a trailer. Additionally, they offer free breakfast at a restaurant down the street - I didn't take advantage of it, but nice to know you could get a quick meal for free.

I want to start by saying the rooms were nice, but the service is absolutely terrible. I had a funeral to attend in another town and I called ahead to ask the front desk if my husband and young son could check in early becuase they had nowhere to go while I attended a friend's funeral, front desk said yes they could but not right now, i said that was fine they would check back in a few hours. Two hours later my husband asks if he can check in 40 mins early and the front desk lady was rude and said the rooms still weren't clean & if my husband wanted to check in early she would charge him $50 extra. I don't like how we were treated, we are paying customers who spent our money trying to support a local hotel. After the way we were treated we won't be staying here again we will stay at the Days Inn, they have always been nice and very accommodating.

This was the perfect place to stop over before visiting The Badlands. We were towing a u-haul and car and were able to park beside the hotel for the night. After reservations were made, we receives a text saying if there were any accommodations or food recommendations just text them and they would be happy to helpUpon check in we received voucher/coupons for our free breakfast at a local restaurant, which was very good, and also a free packet of cookies of your choice. The room was spacious, quiet, clean, and also affordable. the staff was very friendly upon check in and check out, which I truly appreciate. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.Rooms: clean, spacious, quiet

I arrived with realistic expectations. This is a budget property in a town of 875 people. I've been mostly satisfied. The bed is extremely comfortable, the linens are nice, and the pillows are better than most hotels. The room has the usual amenities, and a sofa. The decor is South Dakota-ish. The proximity to Badlands National Park is amazing. My only disappointments were that the front desk couldn't give me additional coffee pods for the coffee maker. Apparently you have to chase down housekeepers and ask them. (We left the hotel early and they were gone when we returned in the afternoon.) The included breakfast described on the website is actually a coupon for breakfast at a bar/grill several blocks away. They offer 3 choices, pancakes, French toast, or biscuits and gravy. We were charged for coffee, and anything else ordered.Nearby activities: The loop drive at Badlands National Park is fabulous!

Our family travels a lot, and with 4 kids it’s hard to find a nice room at a decent price. What I can say?! , we LOVED IT!! even 5 stars hotels does not have such a nice rooms, great service, very very Clean , spacious and it totally fitted our needs, (we got 2 queens and I twin) .The front desk guy Pete was amazing, he tried to help us as much as he could, he even offered us water at no cost, gave us a coupon that we can use to save some money, suggested the place that we could visit. I highly recommend this place, will come here again!

It pains me to leave this review as I've stayed at this hotel many times and had such great experiences. Something has changed, though. As far as I can tell, the room was never cleaned. I had to request for my bed to be made and was told they "wouldn't touch it" unless I stripped the bed myself. To top it all off, the front desk concierge, LeeAnn, was very room and disrespectful to me and my daughter. When I complained to management, they just said that "she's rough around the edges." Well don't put someone like that in a position of customer service. She did call me to apologize but then just gave me a load of excuses. Considering that I paid double what the usual rate for this place due to bike week, I would have at least expected a clean room each night. I am so very disappointed.

The woman from Montana working the front desk was so sweet and welcoming. A great face for the brand.Rooms: My room was way over my expectation. Large plank paneling, stone floor in the washroom and shower was very nice. I got a great deal on this hotel for what it provided me.Nearby activities: Yes, it is close to Wall drug and actually free breakfast was provided on the same block. Those breakfasts were very good too.

Looks can be deceiving! This was an excellent place to stay. Beds were super comfy, lots of pillows and space. Loved parking by our room. Pete at front desk was cheerful and helpful. They also had free snacks and water. Free breakfast is in town, not at the hotel. Go to Badlands Saloon across from Wall Drug and get the Country Fried Steak and share it!

Unfortunately I didn’t take pictures or videos to show how epic, stunningly beautiful this hotel.Located in downtown, close by for everything needed for long drive.I was very much shocked and surprised at the same time for the price for that beautiful room. Very clean and neat.Unlike other hotels, they didn’t ask for credit card details to reserve, even if it was late night.Complementary cookies were at the desk šŸ˜‰.Breakfast was included.Pete the receptionist suggested best place for dinning and also we got free drinks coupon
