This Walmart is located right off hwy 50, we came in on the Princeton entrance. Parking was very easy if you drive a big rig. It has only one loading dock and easy in and out. The best thing about the store is that it is “NTransit friendly!!!” Service and unloading very fast!

Actually very clean store. Very rare for a Walmart. One of the few times I’ve enjoyed a trip to Walmart. Solid stock of things I’ve never seen at a Walmart before. Easy to find local college gear, which I did purchase. The restrooms were remarkable. I’ve never seen such clean Walmart restrooms before. Major props to management and staff.

Just when I thought you couldnt let me down anymore, you go and prove me wrong. The employee's are great. The Walmart its self lacks any good products from any good brand. Even the food is cheap or goes bad way to fast. If you want milk that lasts more than 2 days, go to Hyvee. The lack of products wouldnt be to much of an issue if it werent for the fact that this is the only store in town that sells things beyond tools and food. Of coarse most of this problem stems from Corporate Walmart, as usual. Was gonna give a 1 star but I'll bump it up to 2 because the emloyees are kind and helpful.

Convinced this is the best Walmart in the state if not the nation. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Well stocked and organized. Spacious aisles and setup. This store especially shines in the pickup portion of the business. Each time I pull up, it's less than 5 minutes from the time I shift to park and the time I'm driving away with all of my items responsibly packaged. Everything is clean and the people who bring out the order are awesome. They always check to make sure any substituted items are okay. I thought this was the norm until I did a pickup order at another Walmart in a bigger city and it was a 25 minute wait despite the order having been ready for a bit; that's not a complaint as I know how things can be having worked retail in the past and I do not fault them. However, it makes me extra appreciative of the wonderful staff at my local store. The whole store staff of Vermillion should be proud of the work they do, but the pickup order staff especially deserve a shoutout! Thank you for great service each and every time. It does not go unnoticed in a small community.

Bakery completely messed up cake order. Was suppose to be 3-6” cakes Chiefs, Chicago Bulls and Cubs. They made Chiefs and Bulls but then Thunder basketball. This was after placing my original order and them calling to confirm a second time. The logo on the Chiefs and Bulls is uneven as well.They didn’t have time to make it right before the party.

This Walmart is located right off of highway 50 in Vermilion South Dakota. We came in on the Princeton entrance. The store has one loading dock and has a very easy In and Out. The store is also NTransit friendly! They service was very fast and quick. There is also a place for pups or traveling comps to run and stretch their legs!

Why three stars? Let me say first that I am grateful for our Vermilion Walmart, I am a frequent shopper, and I think it is one of the cleanest, calmest, friendliest Walmarts in existence.The employees at the store do a good job. Most everything about Walmart that I would say are negative aspects is largely beyond the choices and powers of the people working at this store.However, the checkout situation has become ridiculous. I get thet that the giant nasty corporation makes a lot more money by convincing nearly everyone to check themselves out at the end of their shopping experience. Fine. Whatever. I don't mind that.However, what is absolutely killing me is the line. There have been many times when I have spent more time standing in the self checkout line than actually shopping. And I'm surrounded by 30 other 'waiters' also in the same boat.All while multiple greeters stand at each front door and 8+ registers remain unmanned and closed.In other words, all the needed infrastructure and resources to very quickly and easily solve this issue are sitting right there, existing, but unused.Please, please show some level of humanity towards your somewhat faithful shoppers and do something about this. I know you have the data about it up one side and down the other. Walmart is really, really good at metrics and I am quite certain that the resulting numbers and graphs have already appeared in some PowerPoint, somewhere.So look at those waiting times of your customers, and flatten those waiting time spikes out ... pretty, pretty, please.There's probably an automatic report that tells you exactly how many extra cashiers you should have on and from when to when. This isn't even going to take any effort on the behalf of management.And that's what really sets me off about this situation. One of two things is true. Management is literally this clueless and this unaware that they don't realize they have a problem. I find that incredibly hard to believe. Which leads to possibility number two. They do know. They probably stand there and watch it. I'm sure it's on video. I guarantee you there are metrics and PowerPoints like you wouldn't believe.So if they know and they're not fixing it, what's their motivation?I will Hazard a guess: They don't care that we're waiting in line. They don't care that people shop for 10 minutes and wait in line for 10 minutes to check themselves out. Themselves. Good god. They lack all respect towards the value and importance of our time... and are willing to steal our time for the sake of a few percentage points of profit. Money. Greed.So they are either Clueless or malicious. Neither of these gives me a warm fuzzy. Somewhere, somebody thinks it's okay to do this to me and you on a regular basis so they can make an extra $100 an hour.It's gotten bad enough that I have started avoiding going to the store most times of the day.Otherwise, thank you for a clean, well stocked, well organized store full of some of the most genuinely pleasant and friendly employees I think you could find anywhere. They are doing an amazing job, and I hope it is recognized.

I'm not happy with the fact that they're trying to do away with self-checkout I can scan my items a lot faster than any cashier now. now they're just so slow and very judgy

Great discounts, and lobes their vision center. The pharmacy was short on staff one time and was rushing customers, and i had to wait longer to get my prescription, seems they need employee. But overall, i like this Walmart.

Most Walmarts won't let you park over night. Was in town on business for 4 days in my RV. Introduced myself to manager told her my needs. Told me to stay as long as I needed. 4 days later business finished we left. Thank you in writing this time!

Great In-store experiences. Grocery pickup last night was a disaster. Placed order just before 5pm for pickup between 9-10pm. Called 5 times, twice to Pickup (no answer and after a while of ringing it gives you a busy signal), twice to what I assume is Customer Service (no answer, same thing rings and rings for a while then busy signal), finally called and choose Electronics and someone answered on the second ring. They couldn't get anyone to answer either and had to call/page someone to pick up the phone. Same when that person had to get me to someone in Pickup. Now someone might ask why I didn't just go into the store... sick with the Big "C" and was trying to be responsible and order online. Only good point was the guy who brought them out. I always go into the store usually around 9 or 10pm to grocery shop and 9 times out of 10 there is a group of employees standing around self check out just hanging out or talking so I have a pretty good idea why no one was answering. Grocery pickup never again, I will try Hyvee Aisles next time I can't go in.

It's a Walmart. Too many self checkouts. And I hate that they ask you to rate your experience on the computer when done with transaction. Also, NO ONE USES WALMART PAY! YOU NEED TO OFFER GPAY AND APPLE PAY. Will give more stars if those items are fixed.

Was horrible took my mom and family to Walmart and my mom was waiting 20 minutes for someone to show up at the jewelry section and no one even came to help her mean while the electricity went completely out. I will never go to that store again

I took my 93 year old mother to do a little shopping as she hadn't been anywhere since before xmas. We spent 2.5 hours shopping and looking around. Such a great day!!

I always love going to walmart but they need to assert themselves to make sure customers dont only walk in with masks. But keep those masks on. I have walked a good two aisles out of my way because I noticed an old man not wearing a mask and COUGHING LOUDLY. Good prices just try and be more strict. The stricter we are the quicker we wont have to be anymore
