On the main street of Springfield is a cool little market, Doug's. I enjoy going to Doug's to get fresh fruit, meats, dessert (especially ice cream), drinks, quick meals, and whatever else I need. The coolest thing about Doug's, though, is that they will help all of their customers get their groceries to their car every visit.I'm still getting to know people in town because after moving over a dozen times, you tend to become shy. At Doug's, I'm always greeted by friendly people. I also love that kids get job experience on weekends and after school.Perhaps I'm biased because I can walk to & from Doug's, but they still deserve more than 5 stars. 🤗

The workers are very nice and always ask if we need help finding things. I just got out of the hospital and was still VERY dizzy but needed to get a few things and they were great about helping me! They also always help carry everything out! Best small town grocery store that I've been to!!!

If you look in Southeastern South Dakota you will not find a grocery store, or people working at a grocery store, as good and friendly as Dougs Food Center! The store is neat and clean and the prices are competitive also! Just a really neat place to shop for all your groceries and more!!

Love this local mom-and-pop store!! It may not be the best price or selection but it's generally reasonable and even at times surpringly eclectic. I highly recommend.

On Friday I would have rated this 5 stars but after being insulted by a cashier named kim, I won't ever go back! Hiwever check the meat counter, they do have excellent meat.
