Okay, so I went to all the pet stores in sioux falls and none of them knew much about tarantulas. These guys took more time to help and had a really great variety of the species. I ended up getting a columbian giant red leg, and he is so beautiful! I am in love. I'd like to say I looked at the rest of the store but I was so excited to get him home and work on his space that I didn't, but I will definitely be going back to get his crickets and roaches when he gets bigger. Thanks guys :)

I went there at 2pm on a Monday and despite having store hours of 10am-7pm the doors were locked. Hopefully I can use my gift certificate that I got before they shut their doors permanently, which I'm guessing will be sooner than later.

Lady I keep running into here is always so friendly, I’ll come in looking for food for my rabbit, and leave contemplating how I’m going to convince my fiance to let me have another pet, any questions I may have about an animal she knows the answer too, and is generally really easy to talk to so it’s very easy to get lost in conversation about the different animals there.

My daughter and I stopped in because we saw the big sign and figured it was worth a gander. Bought a few items and the nice gentlemen helped with some feeder guppies as well, I will return to this store over and over. Very satisfied!!!!

I went here trying to find new toys for my cats & dog and of course you have to look at all of the animals when you walk into a pet store.. we looked at the reptiles and there was some sort of red lizard in an enclosure on the ground… he looked to be completely flat to the ground and legs sprawled. Definitely don’t think the poor guy was alive.. we then looked at the other reptiles and noticed in a tank on the wall there was a dish with decaying baby mice in it.. then we walked over to see the bunnies, Guinea pigs and hedge hogs.. noticed one of the sweet little bunnies had discharge coming out of one of his eyes.. the hedgehogs didn’t have any huts to bury into.. from what I know of hedge hogs they’re very shy until they get used to you.. I found some products I wanted to buy, but didn’t want to give the store money to continue getting these animals and not caring for them properly.

Live animals in horrific condition. Severely emaciated, dehydrated snakes with parasites and stuck shed. Mammals and birds are sick as well. They know how to improve husbandry but refuse to. Profit above the quality of life for living beings. Disgusting.

I will DEFINITELY be coming here more often. I was very impressed by the different variety of exotic pets they had, especially when most stores and expos I go to always have the same common things for beginners, plus they had a great variety of tank decor and other essential items. The only con I had in my experience was the way the staff seemed to judge my willingness to buy a 'pricey' lizard. Other than that, I had a good first experience, and next time I'm planning to get a new pet, this will be one of the first places I'm stopping at.

The guy at the counter was very nice, and helpful, but he was saying how a bird just died, and we should buy the rest of the birds because they don't know how to care for them properly...However I was looking at the guinea pigs, and one was begging for my attention. That's weird for guinea pigs, since they are shy creatures..I walk over to the cage and noticed they have no food. I opened the cage and got them some Timothy hay, then some pellets. They were chomping the food down. Then i checked there water bottle and to my NOT surprise...no water. I filled up there water bottle and my husband came back the next day to no water.PLEASE FEED YOUR PETS.! they have feelings.

Small pet store but they have quality products from what I have seen. Our cat was vomiting a lot with a supposedly high quality food from another store. Went to Paws Abilities and they recommended a different food. We have gone through an entire bag plus partially a second bag with success. No vomiting and both our cats seem to like it. Grain free and limited ingredients. They have knowledgeable people which is great.

The worker there was really nice and they have a wide variety of stuff BUT on my way home I realized that the canned cat food and the cat treats I bought were EXPIRED a year ago and I noticed they had multiple bearded dragons (5) in one cage. Bearded dragons are territorial, so when caged together oftentimes one will lay on top of the other, blocking it from absorbing the uvb light it needs to develop. In other words, housing multiple bearded dragons together is bad for them and bad practice for a pet store to be modeling to it's customers.

I am blown away by the kindness, expertise, and patience of the staff at Paws Abilities! I went in there with my husband and 5-year-old daughter to just waste some time on a Saturday, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. We were shown most of the animals in the store, got to pet and feed them, and learned about their habitats and unique characteristics. All of the animals appeared healthy and well taken care of. The store was bright and clean. I will hands down be supporting this local store in the future. If you haven’t checked it out yet, please do so! A new gem to Sioux Falls!!!

Got to the store to see they were closed this weekend due to short staffing. Happy to see they care about their employees and don't make them work endless hours with no days off. I will be returning this week for my items! -and recommending them to anyone I know looking for a job.

Neat & clean newer pet store opened about seven months ago. Cashier was friendly, knowledgeable & very helpful! They have some turtles & reptiles as well as supplies. Seem to have a little bit of everything. Only problem for me was it's all higher end cat & dog foods that are out of my budget. But if you need those brands they had what looked like a good selection. Found some great catnip toys that sent my cat into ecstasy!! Even found a part sisal rope cat scratcher that I've been searching for for months now. Pricer than I would have preferred, but worth it to finally find what I needed! Didn't check it all out this first visit, but it's definitely worth a return trip.

Yeah the girl working was a ten so she managed to distract me from the sugar gliders for a short bit BUT I focused up and met every single animal in the store formally. Basically the best time imaginable. As if it couldn't get any better....they have 2 bonded chinchillas, that made my life better watching them snuggle. I want to give them all my money.

I called the store before I left my house as I needed a couple items and they said they close at 8 pm on Sundays. I drove from the other side of town and it is now 7:32 pm and the doors are locked and staff is inside. Just passes me off that I called first to make sure I didn't have to drive across town for nothing and that's exactly what I ended up doing. I will no longer be shopping at your store

I stopped in there the week or so after the grand opening and was extremely disappointed. The staff was friendly but they state they are the lowest prices in town, this not true in comparison to numerous other local pet stores. The selection of what I was looking for was bleek and almost obsolete for our sport American Bullies and my friends and family all own more than one dog, I'd love to be able to recommend them there if things were to change.

Awful reptile husbandry. Dirty enclosures! chameleons look sickly and had horrible/wrong setups. Selling chameleons in glass enclosures as a combo is totally wrong. 100 percent way to guarantee a dead Chameleon. Walked in with high hopes was completely saddened and disappointed when I saw the reptiles. Asked a few questions employees had no knowledge on what they are selling.

We stopped in to see if they had a puppy for sale amd walked away with the most handsomest rabbit ever. Staff was attentive and helpful providing access to all the necessities to move our new bunny into our loving home. 🐇 🐰

This is a great pet store!!! Tons of fantastic pet food brands. If you're tired of all the same boring pet supplies then this is your store. AND they have tons of stuff for cats!!! SHOP LOCAL with Pawsabilities and you'll never go back to those other stores.🐈‍⬛💚

My friend and I just spent 1.5 hours in the store and came out with so much knowledge. Nathan was extremely informational on every pet in the store. 100% recommend shopping at this pet store.

Fairly new store, still unpacking new inventory. Employee was very cheerful and helpful. Inventory that was out seemed of good quality, variety, and reasonably priced.

I was beyond shocked with the extremely wide variety of high end dog and cat foods. I also had a wonderful experience with the well knowledgeable staff that could answer any questions I had. WILL BE BACK FOR SURE!
