These days when you see a hotel for $50 you don't expect much. But this place was really great. Right off the interstate but still quiet, comfortable beds & great pressure in the shower (a big deal for me)?Friendly owners, great space out back to play with my dog, quiet place in general. If you're coming through and need a place to stay it's hard to go wrong here.

I was so happy to find a hotel at a fair rate. Friendly clerk and clean room. The bed was so comfortable and best of all. I felt safe, being I was traveling with only my kitty…Would definitely recommend. Thank you Westwood for A+ serviceSafety: I felt the clerk was alert and aware of what was going on at the hotel. Had surveillance where he could keep a eye on everything. He also made sure he offered parking up front as I was traveling alone. The extra awareness was appreciated!

I booked online for the low price, it was pet friendly and good reviews. My wife and I both woke up with some kind of bug bites that left itchy welts on our skin. You get what you pay for. Wished I'd have paid a little bit more for a non-infested roomDon't recommend.Rooms: Wife and I both got weird itchy bug bites.

The receptionist man put a table in front of the check-in counter, drank and chatted with his 3 friends from evening until midnight. The food they cooked and ate had a very strong smell and it disturbed me even though I opened the window of the room I was staying in. The fact that the hotel is affordable does not give the staff the right to be disrespectful to the guests.The night connecting September 16 to 17, 2023.

I don't know what to rate this place. I booked while already on my trip with my two sons and we needed a place to stay that night. I looked up "hotels with pools" and Westwood came up. I paid online for one room for the one night. We got there after our 5 hour drive, it looked super grungy and I realised there is no pool. I looked up other hotels while in the parking lot and decided to let Westwood know that they did not need to hold the room for us anymore, knowing that I could not get a refund due to the 24 hour cancelation policy. Walked in with my kids, the owner was sitting at a table. I greeted him and let him know that I made a mistake and we won't be staying at this hotel. He started checking us in and I repeated that we don't need the room anymore. He then smiled at me and began yelling (in front of my kids), that they don't have a pool there and it's my fault for booking online and not calling him directly. I had already made that realization myself in the parking lot, I wasn't looking for a refund or handout, I was just trying to let them know they didn't need to hold a room for us anymore. He kept yelling over me, not hearing what I was saying because of his broken English. I took my kids outside with me and got back in our car asap. None of that was professional, necessary or curtious, definitely not what i needed on my solo trip with my kids, and made the $75 I had paid for a room we didn't use even more insulting. I then felt like I had been taken financially. Ending up staying at AmercInn in Chamberlain, 20 minutes west and it was a fabulous experience! They even took is in without a reservation.

SCAM COMPANY!!, I purchased a room for the 29th of July and then they did a bait and switch and sent me a confirmation for a room on 30th of July. Bad Scam company here i recommend not doing business with them. I’m still waiting almost 3 months to get back money. Very Rude and unprofessional. Created issues unnecessarily… I travel a lot and definitely going to pass along a Better Business Report as well. Beware of this Fraudulent Scam Company!!! ZERO STARS!

Very friendly staff. We did not have reservations and got the last room which happened to be a handicap room which worked out great since my husband is handicapped. There is a gas station store restaurant right across the street and they have all sorts of goodies.Rooms: Basic hotel room.Walkability: Not much around but the gas station store restaurant which I did walk to for pop,water,and ice cream.

Host was kind and helpful. Like the other reviews, it's older, but clean. I wanted to park where the security camera could see my vehicle, and he told me exactly where, so he could keep an eye on it. The manager noticed our dome light was on all night in our jeep, and when we were ready to go, he brought out a jump pack!! What? That's over the top customer service.

This is the very HIGHEST QUALITY cheap motel I have ever stayed at. Quick overnight on a road trip. I feel like a respectable person in this place - refreshed and clean as I head out - not gross like when you stay at other cheap motels. It super neat and clean, everything works - yes it is old and decor old - who cares - equipped with all the little amenities soap etc - though I didn't see wifi code I am sure they have it - the man who checked us in was pleasant, efficient and friendly -- the only thing I would change is have them not use the weird fabric softener on the towels.

Fair overnight stay for the price. Front desk looks like it’s manned by the owner. He had difficulty with English snd finding our reservation.No breakfast “due to COVID” no coffee same thing. This is no shut down South Dakota, for Pete’s sake. Despite this the motel is reusing the key card holder.FYI ask for a room with a window to the back. Some started there truck in front of our room at 3 am

The lady who ran the place was friendly! Kind of smelled like dust & cigarette smoke inside the hotel, but it was clean & the bathroom was so nice! Everything was stark white & clean & spacey in there. Very comfortable bed. 🤩

Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was simple, but we didn't come there for fine dining, we wanted a place to stop for the night. The owner was friendly and took good care of everything.If I am passing through on I 90 and looking for a good place to stop for the night, I will stay there again. Price was a little on the high side, but there is not much around. So I would call it fair.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. My Budget rental truck broke down and I was stuck here for 3 days. Clean motel, safe, needs some updating, but all in all nice place for the money. It's across street from truck repair, restaurant & gas station, and ice cream burger stand. If I had to be stuck somewhere, this wasn't bad. I would stay here again.

The owner/receptionist (not sure) was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The hotel is spacious and clean. Atleast it looked clean, but the only reason i cannot give you 5 stars is the sheets. They did not feel fresh. May be they weren't. Make sure you check the online price. You might save a couple of dollars from what you pay if you get there directly.

Aged and older motel, little rough around the edges. Be careful of the pigeon under the awning at check in parking. Luckily I got the Handicap Room, was like new so guess it wasn't used much. Great overnight rate.

I stayed here for a 2 nights. For $45 per night this is the best place I stayed at this price range, and I stayed at many places, believe me. Front desk was friendly, room was clean and spacious. Nice TV set, better then some more expensive hotels I stayed in.Easy excess from freeway, good dining right next door across from hotel. I’m satisfied. Great hotel for the $!

It's a decent and cheap (approx $80 a night) roadside hotel. Its clean and the staff is nice. Rooms have free wifi, a coffee maker, refrigerator and plenty of towels. It's not as nice as a Holiday Inn due to its age but it's good enough for a short stay and allows pets.

No one was at the front desk when I came in. My daughter ended up getting sick and threw up on the sheets...so I asked for new ones by calling on the phone. The lady was very annoyed. Once I say the lady she threatened to ”kill” me if I callee her again. I did not feel safe here what so ever. Definitely never coming back to this place again. Oh and there was bed bugs too.

This was by far the nastiest, and filthiest hotels I've never stayed at. tried to cancel once we saw our room and was told that we are not allowed to, couldn't afford to go anywhere else since we had already been charged. I was covered in bed bug bites by morning, and no one is ever at the front desk. When we checked in our keys were left on the counter with a note attachedwe only ever spoke to someone on the phone never saw someone face to face. Keep driving don't waste your money.

The hotel is filthy and infested with bedbugs. We stayed for just 1 night in room 103 and my 5 year old daughter, wife and I all ended up with bed bug bites. We found and swatted at least a dozen bed bugs ourselves! My daughter still has nightmares of this place.There was no one to complain to either and the phone number listed in the lobby went nowhere.Would have rated zero if possible. Stay away from this place!

The motel was very clean. There was no smell in the rooms, lobby or hallway. The manager offered to help any way he could. The rooms were small but navigational. I highly recommend this facility.
