About a week ago. I made the hard decision to put my sweet girl to sleep after 16 years. The staff was every understanding and did a wonderful job talking to me about how this would work. Not only did they sit and talk to my sweet girl, but they listened to me tell stories about her. They made a memorable paw print for us. Thank you to the staff for making easier to say goodbye.

Staff was nice but facility was dirty from the entry way all the way to the room we were put in. The floors were white but almost looked grey or black with all the hair on the floor.

Brought my boy Lucky in after he had a run in with a truck. Everyone apart of this vet team is very kind. I was even given help getting him out of my vehicle by about everyone that works there. Very caring people. Dr. McNeil was very clear about what she was going to do, what she did, and what still had to be done. I’m very grateful for everything they did.

As much as our dog Ripley does not like going to the veterinarian, she is very well taken care of with any of her medical needs here at the Hartford Veterinarian Clinic. The staff there is always super friendly and treat our dog very well.... Keep up the great work!

We've taken out dog there since he was a puppy. They are always very friendly and helpful. He just got neutered and the procedure went very well and he was back to his normal self within a few days. I've called to ask questions and the person that answers the phone has always been knowledgable and able to answer my questions. They were highly recommended to us and I wouldn't have any problem recommending then to anyone else.

I recently moved to the area, and my dog needed a new veterinarian. My coworker highly recommended the Hartford clinic, and now I understand why. My dog gets very nervous when I take him to the vet, and because he's scared he can get aggressive. I absolutely understand the need for safety, but it tends to make things worse when we try to muzzle him. Both the tech and vet at the Hartford clinic took their time with my dog, slowly introducing themselves and allowing him to sniff their hands and the stethoscope. The vet was able to make several observations before approaching my dog. I was able to hold my dog during the brief physical, and the vet was awesome, speaking sweetly to him and letting him get adjusted to her petting him before listening to his heart. The end result was the best visit to a veterinarian I have ever experienced with my dog Buddy. I am so impressed by the care, compassion, and patience of the staff that I can confidently say that I've found the place where I'll continue to bring my dog.

I can’t praise this vet clinic enough. The entry way and waiting rooms have always been well organized and clean. The staff at this clinic are always kind, patient, and knowledgeable. They have bent over backwards to help our pups on multiple occasions and go out of their way to provide the best service possible at a very reasonable price. First time we went there and tex had surgery. They were very good with him. They did a fine surgery and things are looking very good. I called the next day to give them an update on how he was doing, and they were very happy with his progress. I recommend them to friends needing a new vet.

Dr. Teri Michaels is really caring for my two dogs. She takes the time to get to know the animals! She explains everything so you can easily understand what is going on. After having a few bad experiences in Mitchell, I’m so glad I found a veterinarian who is awesome. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Shoutout to Brad, he is also amazing! I don’t mind driving an hour for excellent care. I highly recommend this vet clinic!

Called the day before and asked about tick medication. They said it would be fine to pick up. Came in the next day and they wouldn’t sell it to me because my dog hadn’t been to their vet in the last year. They were also rude. They need to get their answers straight.

Last week we got our 1 year old Bulldog neutered. Wednesday morning dropped him off, they called me shortly after 11:00 to tell me surgery went well and I could pick him up between 3:30 and 5:00. Excited to have our fur baby back, we picked him up at 3:30, at this point he still could not walk. and was slightly bloated, and seemed very dopey. Assuming that it was just the anesthesia, we brought him home. By 4:30 things seemed very wrong. He was frequently gagging as though he had to vomit, still unable to walk and still bloated. I called the vet, they told me to watch his gums if his gums changed colors to call back. by 5:15 I contacted the vet again was told that the phone would automatically call and would be answered as an emergency after hours phone. Vet then told me to send an email with a picture of my dog's gums. I did so and she insisted that they were pink (even though they were white) and he was metabolizing the anesthesia still and the gagging was because he has drool as a bulldog. I continued sending emails as his condition deteriorated. He had a bloated stomach, he was gagging without being able to vomit, excessive saliva, pale gums, turning cold, eventually his wobbly walk went to lethargic state, with further research I was able to identify this as a twisted stomach, all these symptoms should have been picked up by a vet as a serious situation and not written off as metabolizing anesthesia. continued calling with absolutely no response. by 7:30 we were on our way to the emergency vet in Sioux Falls, before they could even get us checked in my dog passed away in my arms. They rushed into the back and provided CPR and medications three times, but we're unsuccessful at getting a response. I emailed the vet I called and left a voicemail for the vet informing them that my dog had died. It's been over a week now I've already gotten my dog's ashes back, and I have not even received a single response whatsoever from Hartford veterinary clinic. I'm not saying that they are at fault for my dog dying, I'm not asking for refunds, I'm not asking for excuses. but a simple apology for not responding to my urgent request for help, or even a condolence for my loss.. But there isn't even enough sincerity to do so. 7 years I've been giving them trust to care for my animals. Two dogs neutered previously to my bulldog, so I had some knowledge as to what to expect for recovery from being neutered. My concerns were serious, and valid, and we're not being taken as such. had they advised me when I first contacted them with concerns to take him in, there may have been a possibility of reversing the situation and saving my dog, but instead they left me unanswered.

Dr.Teri and her staff are excellent! She takes the time to listen to my concerns about my dogs and her staff is great to work with. They do a great job keeping the rooms cleaned! I'd highly recommend Dr. Teri. Before going to her I took my dog to several vets because he was so sick and none of the vets took the time to listen and never helped. Dr.Teri put my dog on prescription food and he's not had any stomach issues since. She's a great vet!

They will do whatever it takes for your animals. They try hard to get you in when they are swamped. I will never take my animals anywhere else. They are so gentle and take their time to make the animals trust them. I would give them 50 plus stars if I could.

Terri is amazing and always has wonderful staff! She cared for my pets for many years and was with me to day goodbye to my baby when her time came! I suggest Hartford vet to everyone I know. I have a friend who takes her dog there now and another who takes her cats. She is honest and will only do what's necessary while.giving you best options and advice. There isn't enough time or room for me to ramble about all the great things about Hartford Vet.

I have been taking my pets to this vet clinic for years. I have never had a bad experience. I read the bad reviews and was really surprised. The vet is always very professional and takes time to hear my concerns. The vet techs are always great and fast at getting us a room. The clinic is always very clean especially now with the virus it's even more clean. And one of the best perks is the price! I dont think I'll ever find a vet clinic with this great of service and price.

Had our dog spaded. They did an amazing job. Check in was easy and they had a check list to make sure everything was covered including updating shots. Called after surgery to update us. It’s 6 days post op and our dog is back to her normal self
