A young lady was helpful. Older clerk was socializing and needed permissions from a manager to make a decision. My lumber purchase did not fit so I asked it be cut. The same clerk said "he might if he's not busy". I followed her back and as far as I could see he and another employee were in back chatting. Manager did not want to cut my purchase to fit in my car but finally did saying something about "feeling friendly today" Not great customer service except the young woman cashier. Go to Ace instead.

Really enjoyed working everybody at the Hartford building center. Have a great selection, anything they don’t have in stock they are willing to go above and beyond to get it for you

I go here all the time. If I need a hanger for a picture or I need lumber for a shed - they have it.
