I went to Dollar General today and noticed they have Easter items where you buy 1 and get 1 free. I bought 2 items on the area where the sign was and I didn't get the other item free. The cashier gave me refund for both because she said the items I got weren't included with that special. I told her then they should remove those items and other items off that section if they aren't included. There were other items like what I got that were also on that area.I also bought a package each of the GeneratE Heavy Duty batteries (1 pkg AAA & the other pkg was AA). EACH $1.00 per pkg, 6 per pkg.I brought them home and found out none of the batteries worked. So now I have to go there to return them. Not the first time this has happened.

Every single time I come to this Dollar General no one is at the register, and they don't even have a bell at the front for you to Ring to get someone's attention, last time I suggested for them to put a bell at the front they said it was against store policy because it may annoy the rest of the customers. Honestly I think you guy need new management because if this happens again I will no longer go here.

The guy in front of me was supposed to get $12 something in change... He got $7 something and I mentioned it. The lady Rhonda said I was wrong, despite me seeing on the register "Change- $12. 28". I do know the guy and came in with him but he didn't realize until we left that I was right... Not going back to this Dollar General.

Throughout the year in Hartford you can win Hartford bucks by participating in different activities in the community. This is a check that is intended by the city to be used in the city. We recently won Hartford Bucks and when we went to use them at Dollar General we were told that they would not accept them.If you want to do business in the community, you should make sure you are taking part in community events. This was never a problem in the past until the new manager took over. Very Disappointing.

Nice local store. Beware of the " clearance section. They put clearance tags on items for the same price or MORE then they usually are. This was told to me by one of the workers

Not a bad little store. The employees are cool. Restrooms seem to be out of order majority of the time. Fix your restrooms?

They have pretty good deals, but usually only cashier so if you need help you have to find cashier if she is busy then you wait.

I went into the store in Hartford on Saturday evening to grab a few items and the checkout girl was not wearing a mask although the sign on the door says masks are required.
