I've been taking my dogs here for baths and nail trims since we adopted them in 2020. We have always had great experiences here. It's really evident that Julie loves what she does and she genuinely cares for our pets. She is so patient and kind to my big girl who is not a huge fan of the nail clippers. So thankful to have a good groomer so close to home! I heartily recommend Barney and Coco's Pet Salon. The only thing that would make it more perfect is if I could have a spa day with my dog too! 😊

Fantastic groom! Hands down the best blow out my husky has even received. Huskies are notorious for shedding. When ever I take my dog to get groomed anywhere else, I'll bring him home and I'm still brushing those stray clumps out. Julie is so sweet with my dog Kowboie, it's like he doesn't even want to leave! My cat Duke Silver is usually a feisty guy and I could never manage to trim his nails. Julie is an animal whisperer! She was able to sooth him in a way I've never seen before. Quick trim and we were on our way! The love Julie and Kevin have for animals is so beautiful. They do such a great job and truly care about the animals. I will never take them anywhere else ever again.

We had a very pleasant experience bringing our golden dood Arthur in for his first full grooming. Julie was helpful in explaining our options and we couldn't be happier with our experience. She is knowledgeable and caring and our pup was ecstatic with his fresh cut. She gave us grooming tips for when his new coat grows in and we look forward to visiting again!

I normally don't post reviews, but in light of recent accusations I feel the need to share my experience! I have been bringing my pets to be groomed at Barney and Coco's by Julie for years. With her love for animals, high standards and friendliness, I always know my fur babies are in safe hands. I have a special needs dog and I'm very particular who I take her to. Barney and Coco's make the choice easy for me. They are very accommodating and my sweet Petunia adores Julie! They will always have my business and I'm thankful I have found a groomer I can trust.

I am posting on behalf of my own experience. I read the allegations made on FB and cannot comment on them specifically. I take my chihuahua in to get her nails clipped by the young woman that works there. I have personally had only good experiences every time I have gone in. She is very kind and gentle with my little girl. And very reasonably priced. If in fact those things did happen, then that is terrible. But as i said, I can only comment on my experiences.

I've bought my yellow lab to Barney and Cocos for years. I've only have received great service from them and my dog can be handful at times. I had even showed up to shop early to check on my dog everything was perfect when I arrived. I would recomend this groomer to all my friends and family.

I have no idea if what was posted on facebook was true or not. What I do know is my own experience. Having just moved back to Hartford, I really wanted to like this place. The girl there seemed nice enough, but she was left with one instruction regarding my pups haircut. Do NOT touch the moptop. My dog had (yes HAD) a 4-5" long moptop on her head and ears. I LOVED this look and since she is almost 14 years old, had planned on keeping a braid from her hair when the inevitable happens. Sadly, that is no longer an option since my first visit at Barney and Coco's brought my greatest grooming fear to light. Despite the one simple instruction to NOT CUT the long hair on her head, I arrived to find her head and ears had been shaved. Yes, she had some pretty bad mats in the long hair, but I have always been able to work them out or cut out just what was needed to maintain the mop. This groomer said she couldn't do it, so she cut it all off. She should have called and told us she couldn't do it and given us the option to come get her. Instead she took it upon herself to do exactly what she was asked NOT to do. To top it off, when running my card for payment a tip request popped up giving only the option to tip certain percentages. I did not see a way to continue the transaction without agreeing to a tip. So I ended up tipping her. I didn't want to pay her at all! Obviously I'm still mad, sad, and very disappointed. I will not be back to that salon. Instead I'll drive my pup into Sioux Falls to a groomer I trust.

Scheduled a grooming session for my dog several weeks in advance, showed up on time (10:00) waited 15 minutes and no one answered the door and or the phone. It was our first appointment and will be our last.

Don't jump to conclusions and believe deranged people. People sometimes lie to get attention or because they get mad. Visit and see for yourself don't be a sheep. Good people sometimes get blamed for things they didn't do . Good people that love animals.

Just read a post about this place on Facebook. Woman witnessed abuse from a man while he was shampooing a dog! Horrible! Never recommend!!
