My son and I had just spent a few days in the Hills and we took a backroad towards home. We were both hungry and saw this place on Google Maps and decided to stop. So far, we had not had much luck with food experiences. This place was fantastic! The bartender was our greeter, our server, hell, even our cook! She did a great 👍 job!!! The burgers 🍔 were cooked perfectly and were delicious! My tots were perfectly crispy and my son's onion rings were cooked right also! We were stuffed but I had to get the carrot cake with baked cheesecake on top to go that the owner Ken made.If you're heading to the Hills, you gotta stop and grab a bite or a drink. Great stop on Hwy 14 coming out or going into the Badlands!

If you're looking for a true western experience the TK Saloon is the place to go. You feel like you go back in time to the days of the Old west, real cowboys! Great fun and good times!

The food was below average but the reason for my review is the bizarre atmosphere. Who has a Confederate flag NEXT to a noose? This just sends a bad message I think people will agree.

We were planning to stop here before dropping our car off at the airport and saw that it was outwardly not a diverse and welcoming place based on the various flags outside. We drove past. Thankfully we confirmed our suspicions through other reviews posted and pictures of nooses and confederate flags inside. If they appeal to the local people and have support then that is great for them, but I advise caution to most travelers of different cultural racial and lgbt backgrounds.

Amazing food! Straight out of the the kitchen. Good variety of food and drinks, sitting area out front and back! Pool tables and, ALOT of cool decorations. They even have peanuts for you to snack on while waiting for your food. Very clean! and big! I really recommend going their especially if you want just a night out with a friend, very fun chill place not very busy nor loud, and a TON of nice clean tables for everyone to eat at. The back yard is very big and relaxing and the front is as well, this place gave amazing service and very nice employees. Food took less than 15 minutes. They also have a variety of necklaces, bracelets, earring, etc. The gift shop isn’t to cheap but they have some really neat stuff their. They also have some bands that come down and play during hog night. Five star place, would very much so suggest going their!

Nicest owner ever.We stopped for a beer at noon(ish) lol.They open at 4.He hopped off his riding mower, opened the door and served us a cold one.Enjoyed talking with him before continuing on our way.Will come back for his brisket burger which had us wishing it was 4!

Mr. Ken Smith of TK Saloon made this New Yorker feel right at home during my visit. The whole staff is wonderful and sure know how to show their guests a good time. Their hospitality was amazing and the food was by far the best I’ve had in South Dakota. TK makes the best burger I’ve EVER had and the brisket is amazing too. Cold beers, good food, and great people. Can’t wait to see you all next year for rally.

I was on the way to the airport and found TK Saloon on Google maps, so I decided to call in an order, while on the road. My food was hot and fresh, ready when promised too. Took about 15 minutes, from call in to when it was ready. My son and I had a beer while we waited. Food was packaged well and the lettuce, onion and tomato were packaged separately, which was very nice. Fries were crispy and seasoned just right. The saloon decor was fun and quite entertaining. Dollar bills and boots were tacked to the ceiling. The bartender was very nice, attentive and friendly. There’s a lot of seating available, although this place wasn’t busy on Sunday, late afternoon. I would definitely recommend TK Saloon to anyone looking for a family friendly, non-franchise place to stop for a meal.

My brother insisted I come with him to this bar to taste their burger, it was quite delicious, parts of the bun were a little soggy though. The bar itself is full of history though, it’s definitely a place to checkout if you are passing Caputa SD.

We walked in and was greeted by staff and locals as if we had been coming for years. Sharing drinks and making new friends. And yes, we threw a dollar on the ceiling on our first try. We met the owner who is a real cowboy! He shot a few annoying with his 38 revolver. Loved our time there and would stop by again on our next trip.

Stopped here during the rally. It was definitely busy but the staff were busting their butts to get everyone served. Food was excellent and the beer was cold!

What a great group of people. Ken and Theresa are great host. We have never felt so welcome. Everyone with wonderful smiles, a family atmosphere. JJ played and sang the best songs, lots of dancing. We will definitely be visiting again.

We drove through the bad lands and were on our way to Rapid City. We stopped to use the bathroom and decided to stay and eat. The staff was very friendly and the food was great! Good burgers, fries and tots!

Meet the owner and his wife. Great people, the owner is from east of Rochester NY. Has been out in South Dakota for years. Was nice to talk to someone from back east.I am from Ithaca NY.Great food and bar too!

This was a welcome stop at a friendly dive bar for the whole family after a long trek through the Badlands. The food was just okay but the staff was super friendly and the decor was crazy and fun. It's about as far from a tourist trap as you can get.

Great place to go with family or just with friends. And when you want to just get out of town and have some fun this is the place to go . 20 minutes out of rapid 15 minutes from box elder. Its a very very friendly establishment. That a lot of people don't know about.

Truely, one of a kind. Great food, and maybe the best chicken wings and hamburgers in South Dakota. Oh yah, best beer and liquor prices in the Rapid City - Black Hills - area. Enjoy!
