Staff is friendly and can tell when people want to be left alone, which is nice.However, not much for electricians and other people running wire on the residential side. No 2', 3' or 4: "flex" bits like most other Lowe's and HD will have, no magnetic wire pullers, glow rods are super expensive for what you're getting and they don't have RCA connectors. Better off ordering online or going to a city electric supply for these things.

Always have a welcoming experience here. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The store is always nice and neat. The garden center is my favorite. When we got mulch this spring they were very helpful with loading.

Always great. The staff is always willing to help...can be tricky to find one sometimes. The selection is great and the layout makes sense. I wish they would cater more to the professional and hobbyist woodworkers.

Quentin was extremely helpful with finding our bathroom vanity. He walked around the store assisting my wife find the other items from the display while I worked on finding other items.He also gave us tons of info on the Lowe’s Pro account which we ended up enrolling for because of his great explanation and assistance.

I’ll start off with the typical “I wish I didn’t even have to give them one star”. When we built our house in 2019, we made the mistake of buying all of our appliances from this store. When our builder said to bring in the appliances, we were given the run around by this store directly about delivery of the appliances we had paid for 4 months ago. Thankfully, the Lowes in Lake Wylie was able to help us get our appliances delivered. Fast forward 4 years, our oven goes out. We get the run around from several appliance repair shops and had to go to Samsung directly who deemed the oven unrepairable, and offered a pro rated refund. We have the 5 year warranty from Lowes and felt a pro rated option was not fair, but after going 3 months without an oven, we just wanted a little help to get an oven ASAP. While some employees at the York store were very helpful and did what they could, when the store management got involved, there was zero help offered. Guess what, we went to the store in Lake Wylie and were offered a fair deal to get us an oven ASAP. While the York store was not refusing to help, they stated that proper protocol had to be followed to go through the warranty process. We’re going on 4 months without an oven, just went through Thanksgiving without an oven, and are not interested in doing Christmas without an oven. Thank you Lowes in Lake Wylie/Clover, York Lowes, adios.

I will start by saying I very rarely do a return but I’m in the store trying to return some drywall mud and after waiting 15 was told they could not do it without a receipt. I spend thousands here weekly and obviously no one can run out stealing drywall mud as they weigh 60lbs. No mgr ever even came up to speak to me in person no one checked I’d to see if I’ve done returns before, just a long wait and a phone call so basically I’m being discriminated against and treated like a thief as I’ve seen 2 no receipt returns happen while sitting here on hold with corporate.

I went into the Lowe's store in York South Carolina couple of days ago and as soon as I walked in through the Pro entrance I noticed the carts that you could put material on were all lined up and in order and I've never seen that before at any other Lowe's especially Sumter Lowe's where you have to go out into the parking lot to find a cart. Also I noticed that all the aisles were clean and didn't have buggies with products in it waiting to be put on the shelves. A very clean store. The associates were very nice and greeted me when I walked in and I have to admit this is probably, out of the 30+ years I've been shopping at Lowe's, the best experience I've ever had at a Lowes.

Hello! I don’t normally have any issues with coming into Lowe’s but, the other day I did. And it was the same guy as a few weeks ago, Adam Winert (wood department) is rude and disrespectful. He should not be manager at all. I’ve also heard the way he talks to the employees and it’s the same way. This is not right. He should not be able to talk like this to anyone. I e ignored it the last 2 times but next time I’m goi got say something. This is horrible customer service

Great visit! I asked an associate where the toilet seats were and she left what she was doing to help me and pointed to aisle 42. I went right to them. I shopped awhile and at went to self-checkout another associate helped me there as well, offering to scan my items. I don't really like self-checkout so I was pleased that she offered. Both associates were friendly, they smiled and very pleasant, even at 8am on a Sunday morning.Thanks! I'll be back!

Employee's seem annoyed if you have a question. Out of basic home improvement items. Products are difficult to locate. Employees are more interested in chatting among themselves than helping customers.

We placed an order for a dishwasher at the beginning of the month. A week later we were notified that it was ready for pickup but not install. So we decided we were going to go pick it up to just install it today because my husband is going to be deployed the next two weeks. We spoke with the assistant store manager Ashley who was incredibly rude and unprofessional. When we arrived at the store after having talked to multiple different lowes agents who assured us that we would be able to pick up our dishwasher at the store. When we arrived she instead told us that “this is what she said to do in the first place” and proceeded to refund the entire order back to a gift card. Now we have no money AND no dishwasher. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Ashley was not only rude to us but rude to her employees as well who was trying to help us. She sat there and watched her do the wrong thing in the system with our order just to waste time. I am sick by this experience and I hope I NEVER have to deal with a company or a woman like her ever again. Absolutely the worst retail experience I’ve ever had and for $700 something is seriously wrong with this company and the management they choose to hire.

I went to get some paint for 1 of my bedrooms. I went to the paint department and asked an associate for help. She helped me with which paint I needed & everything I would need to do the job.I'm ready to paint. There's only one thing; I hate to paint but if I want this done I have to get over the "hate" & just do it!Also, I came across Scented Paint Additive. You add the packet to your paint before you start painting, mix thoroughly, and it provides a fresh scent for several months.I haven't done this but I'm going to try.Good luck to me.

Would have given a zero. Not an option:( just called corporate instead. Bought door locks over a week ago. Had to leave them for rekeying. Picked up next day. One key only opened one side of lock. Returned to store, was told for 3 days the person who does this will be in tomorrow. I called today to be told same thing. I asked to speak to manager and was placed on hold 3 times after being hung up on. After a week, I still do not have locks that work. Since working from the bottom up, with no resolution, I decided to work from the top down. Will update once there is a resolution. Good thing we didn't have then do the $13000 deck rebuild., they just quoted us. Will try Home Depot;) If you need a job with flexible hours, and no management supervision. The ability to come in when you want, or not work at all. I hear they are hiring. 🤣

I like shopping here, the employees have over time befriended me and always greet me like a best friend. It gives that friendly atmosphere I enjoy and it makes getting help from customer service a joy. They have good stock most of the time I go there and are reasonably competitive price wise. You won't be disappointed.

I like this lowes better than its Gaffney, shelby, and Spartanburg locations because it's not as busy so it's easy to get in and out when I'm in hurry. The employees are nice in all the locations but the ones at York seem to be more courteous and laid back. It's like they actually want to make sure you were helped, whereas the other locations want to make sure you know they're there to help. That's not at the fault of the employees it's just a product of a busy a store.

I will be writing a letter to corporate about the horrible experience with this store. I hired them for a fence project back in April. The project manager quit the day after I signed the contract and everything went downhill from there. There were multiple delays with the materials coming in (4 months to be exact). The contractor came and only installed TWO GATES and nothing else. The contractor was then unresponsive for two weeks (not only to me but also to the store and installations support team) when I called to inquire on when they would be coming back to finish the fence. When the contractor finally came back I was told the order they received from Lowes was for two gates and that’s it. Christy the store manager, who was particularly rude, informed me that I was still on the hook for the money I paid in advance despite corporate and other managers at the store telling me I would be compensated for all the inconveniences. She stated that they would only cover additional material otherwise I just needed to cut ties with them on this project. I really don’t understand how $4300 only paid for two gates. There was no empathy from her whatsoever about this whole ordeal. I ended up canceling and still awaiting my refund.
