My family and I cannot say enough good things about this place. We moved to TR from out of state several years ago and finding care for our senior dog and 3 cats was one of our first and biggest concerns.In those years we have used pretty much every service they have to offer and have been blown away with every experience (and even the pricing, which for the level of care we needed was a big concern). They helped extend the time and quality of our older pets’ lives, and have even helped us welcome in new parts of our family.Truly a blessing to this community!

We have been loyal patrons to a different animal hospital for the last 35 years. We had an urgent situation recently and our vet could not get us on the schedule within a week so we made an appointment at Travelers Rest animal hospital. We were seen the following day. Wow!!! The experience was amazing. The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. The vet tech showed us to our room and spent time understanding exactly what issues we were experiencing. Their demeanor made our dogs relax and they handled them with care. When the vet came in the room he sat on the floor with all three dogs which lowered their anxiety (and ours). He conducted tests on all three, gave his diagnosis and recommended treatments. He was very thorough and quoted a fair price for the treatments. We have been back 3 times now with all 5 dogs. After 35 years, we now have a new vet... Secondary to the amazing staff, the facility is great. They have large and small patient rooms depending on your needs. Many of the rooms have fences in patios if your animal is more comfortable outside. They take payment in the patient room so you don't have to stand in a narrow hallway making payment while other patients are walking past. They also called to check on things after the visit. These guys seem to do everything right and run a great business. I highly recommend them for all your pets medical needs!!!

We bring all six of our rescue dogs to TR Animal Hospital. They each have their own quirks, ranging from high dog reactivity to anxiety to joint issues. I have never had a bad experience with this vet. At my previous vet, they would always immediately muzzle my reactive dog before taking her in the back. At TR Animal Hospital, they work with my pup to make her comfortable and are able to do keepher muzzle free during her visit. They make sure the lobby is clear before bringing her in or will provide side door access directly to her exam room if it’s a busy day so she doesn’t have to walk past other dogs. All the vet techs are confident and calm with my dogs and I never feel nervous handing them off. The veterinarians give great medical explanations and thoroughly explain ailments, procedures, x-ray/lab results, medication, you name it. I always feel well informed in making the best decisions for my pets. Just a great place all around!

Absolutely the best veterinarian ever! Dr Will and his team go over and beyond to ensure a phenomenal visit! From check ups to the sad time to go to heaven they are the most compassionate and accommodating staff! It is obvious they love pets and are sensitive ! I have a lot to say about this wonderful establishment. I brought my dog in thinking she was suffering from something minor, however it turned out to be something else. My poor baby was suffering from pyrometra and was near her end of time. I had to choose between putting her down and surgery; and unfortunately I had to choose to put her down. I left feeling like I failed my baby and that I was losing her forever. As I arrived home, I received a phone call from Dr. Bunch. He told me about an option that could save my dogs life and that it was risky. We took the chance and he was able to save my dog’s life !! He took a big risk and did something that was new to him to save my baby ! I say all of this to say if you’re thinking about a good place for your pet or for ones like me, your child then this is the best place to go ! I’m forever grateful

We adopted a dog, who came with a bonus kitten, last May, and took in a stray kitten this past week. They got us in immediately with all three. Our dog had heartworms, needed to be spayed, had a referral for a couple of tumors and needed surgery, and TRAH has been all I could ask for. We've seen several of the vets, countless techs, and everyone has been patient and kind with our animals, explained everything to us, followed up with phone calls and texts - just an outstanding group. Very happy they are here in TR!

First off, it’s a beautiful and clean place. Everyone at the front desk were polite and friendly.I took my cat Rosie there for the first time, and Matt (Tech) was so caring And friendly. Also, Dr. Givens was truly a compassionate and caring person. I truly felt like that they cared about my pet. So much so that I will also be taking my two dogs there for their next visit. They are so good with our girl! We've had nothing but great experiences from the second we walk in the door! All the doctors, techs, and staff are kind and patient with our Darla. After the apt. staff will come to the patient room and check you out and take payment so you don't have to worry about a busy lobby and keeping your dog at bay. That's helpful with an anxious dog for sure! They have made us very confident in the care our dog is receiving and we are thankful for them!

I have so many wonderful things to say about Travelers Rest Animal Hospital. If you are on the fence, it is worth the drive…40 minutes for me. Every person on the staff is so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Whether it’s a phone call or in person visit. Dr Kelly and Dr Bryant are true gifts. They love the animals like their own and answer every question(big or small). I love that they always have a plan. It helps me feel better in the care I am giving to our dogs and the pups we are placing. We love everything about TRAH.

Big fans of this vet clinic and boarding!!! Our pup comes back happy and healthy. We were gone for a full week and could rest at ease that she was in caring and competent hands. And, even though we only asked for a nail clipping, as far as grooming, she wasn't stinky at all. at pick-up. We went with a different boarding place 1.5 years ago, and paid for a wash/dry but she came back smelling of straight up butt gland. Ick. Never had this issue with TR Animal. Hospital. Thank you!!!!

Having recently moved to the area, we are naturally concerned about our dogs’ “new vet”. Last time we moved, we had a less than desirable experience from the first vet we tried. This visit was my first to TRAH. Brought our quite nervous border collie mix for a nail trim and a rabies shot. We walked in, were immediately greeted cheerfully and asked to have a seat in the beautiful and spacious waiting room. In 5 minutes a cheerful staffer took the dog. She was back in another 10 minutes. The charges were very reasonable. The service was great. We’re going back!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this practice is. Everyone on staff is absolutely fantastic! I always leave confident that my dog has everything he needs. Dr. Will is also amazing at explaining what he is doing during his exams and why his treatment plan is what it is. The grooming department is great as well. I feel more than comfortable to leave my dog there knowing he’ll be well taken care of and so clean when I get back. Thank you all so much for all that you do!

I recommend this animal hospital to everyone in the area. I have been taking my two cocker spaniels there for 5 years and Dr. Will McDavid is the best! He is so knowledgeable and truly cares about the animals and the people. Karen (the practice manager) is also wonderful. She has gone out of her way to make sure we feel valued. I have a veiled chameleon that needed to be seen right away. I learned that Travelers Rest Animal Hospital had a doctor that could treat him & I was able to have him seen that same morning. Everyone was absolutely wonderful! Between the front desk, nurses & Doctor Lizzy I am very grateful for all of their help. I found his forever doctor & would recommend anyone to bring their little cams or other lizards to Dr. Lizzy😄

First time taking my Anubis to be checked out and the service was amazing they explained everything very well they treated him amazing considering he is a pitty my puppy loved every moment being with the specialist's there I would highly recommend this place to any and everyone that is a pet owner! We changed to Traveler Rest Animal Hospital because it was closer to our home. We took both our dogs there for six or seven months. They went over all our previous records on vaccinations and heart worms. my older dog was tested for heart worms and given any vaccines needed. My younger dog was due to be tested for heart worms in April. We are traveling out of state for Business from March-May. We forgot our youngest dog’s heart worm medication. We called and spoke to TRAH two times and even set up an appointment to have her tested for heart worms and any vaccines needed as soon as we get back in SC. They refused to fill a temporary amount of heart worm medication leaving my dog vulnerable to getting heart worms and possible death. Travelers Rest Animal’s Vets clearly don’t care about the safety of my animals. They only care about profit. I will not do business with a vet that cannot work with you to safeguard the life of your pet!

They all truly love animals, you can tell by the moment you walk into the door to the time you leave. We have a German Shepherd that is about 11 and had to have surgery, the care they gave our Duke and us. Dr Bryant Phillips Is just an amazing Vet, after surgery he called, we were able to visit Duke. Dr. Bryant came to see us. The communication and heart is tremendous. You don’t find this very often and to find in in not one, but the entire staff, we are Blessed!! I went in this morning as a new patient with my cat who I just rescued. Everyone was incredibly kind and willing to explain the processes to me. My cat is limping and the veterinarian wasn't pushy at all with how I should go about treating him. She laid everything out for me and was interested in what I had to say and how I felt. Which is a really nice feeling at any hospital (animal or not)! I especially want to focus on how caring everyone there was. From when I first walked in, to when I was in the little room, and as I left. Everyone took the time to be attentive to my needs and to direct me kindly as well as dote on my little kitty who is hurting. If you're looking for a new vet or need a place to take your fur baby, I would highly suggest Travelers Rest Animal Hospital! I definitely will be continuing my cat's care there.

This is the most professional and friendly vet atmosphere I have ever been to. They do an excellent job with my cockatoo bird with his nail trimming. His last visit was his 1st in months due to me being laid up with a cast and they treated him so good with as long as his nails were. I highly recommend this establishment!

I give them 5 stars for a few different reasons. Absolutely a warm and clean waiting room. It's not like some vet offices that are cold, and scary. This place makes your pet feel very comfortable. Everyone is very nice there. They have a salon and an exam part to the building. They recently remodeled, and I'm sure it's even better than before. I feel very comfortable with the Vet and what he recommends as far as meds or treatments. They do nails and grooming for reasonable prices.Wheelchair accessable entrance and bathrooms. Also a changing table available for parents of young children. Really love this clinic.

Provided great service in regards to getting my cat a wellness exam for our flight!I went yesterday (12/20) and realized that my cat’s exam had to be done within 10 days or less of our flight, not before. TRAH was very accommodating and allowed me to come today (12/21) instead! We also got in and out at a decent time, and everyone was super gentle with Maple. Also, the staff did an excellent job talking me through what was going to happen during her exam and continually updated me on what was going on.
