I am visiting South Carolina for a few days currently. While driving I saw Piggly Wiggly and was instantly set back because I had not seen or been to one in 35 years. Upon entering the store I noticed it was well stocked and there were multiple cashier's available making it easy to check out. The prices seemed to be pretty good but that is comparable to home where we have among the highest prices in the country. There was a good variety of items and the produce looked to be very fresh. Even without nostalgia it is a good place to shop.

I LOVE this store! I have been to a few Piggly Wiggly stores and this is one of the cleanest stores with friendly staff and good prices. I also love their Deli and am glad that it doesn't shut down early and gives you time to get off work and still get a good meal if you don't feel like cooking. Bravo!

The staff in food services are very courteous to the customer but whoever is doing the cooking needs to cut waaaayy back on the salt. I'm a regular customer but for the past few months some of the food has super salty.

First time shopper here don’t think I’ll return. Half the items I picked out were expired condiments by 6 months smelled bad when opened. Cheese expired had mold where I couldn’t see in package. Frozen item full of frost bite. Shame on me for not double checking dates on every item. But not making the mistake again Walmart has cheaper prices and staff checks food dates and conditions more frequently.

All piggly wiggly stores has a odor to me this one included. I usually shop for my meat choices here. I do have to pick through the meat option at this store to look for good quality choices. Some meat looks and smell old. But educate yourself on picking out meat. Chasing great prices is good but not at the expensive of your health and well being. Great employees overall and really helpful.

Good selection of meats and produce. The only place around that I can find Jimmy Dean precooked bacon that my 91 year old Father in law HAS to have. Wide shopping aisles, well lit, clean store.

This is my favorite grocery store. I was behind a lady that went to get something else and I only had a few items. One of the employees noticed and opened up a new register just for me. He allowed me to get my groceries and get on my way. Kudos to the guy that went out of his way to help. You have a customer for life. Thanks again.

I really appreciate there parking lot. The left trees in the parking lot to help keep you and your car cool. There is plenty trees to choose from. Okay inside the store is clean. Food price's is like every where else.

I went into Piggly for a T-bone steak but ended up with a Rib eye. The T-bone looked older than I. Yes I was disappointed about the T-bone. Good news is my Rib eye turned out great!The store in general is nice and clean. The staff are really nice.

Great store, well stocked and a very helpful staff. Prices very competitive with the other grocery stores. The Pig is my favorite grocery store... they currently have green peanuts, better get them soon before they are gone.

I just left a buggy of grocery at THIS PW and HAVE the money to pay for them because of principle. All I needed was a PIG Card to SAVE money. My card had just walked out the door on my key chain with my S.O. & we were trying to beat the storm. An employee who had a card, said "we don't swipe them for customers". Well, okay then, this PERSON Won't be a CUSTOMER then! I'll go to another PW and get better service. I guess Mr. Marty in Florence has set the standard for excellent PW customer service that I'm used to.

They have a nice selection of meat products from fish to red meats and poultry. As a matter of fact I come here just to buy meat. Good customer service their hot food section is pretty decent.

I love their fresh made Liver Pudding, only older folks may even what it is.Meat prices are so much cheaper than the upstate. It's the best store to grocery shop if you in or near Clarendon or Sumter County. I'm from the upstate but when I'm visiting, I take a cooler to shop for meats.Stay forever strong PIGGLY WIGGLY.

This location has made an effort to be nicer, cleaner, and better; however, the customers seem to be working against the stores best efforts. The store restrooms had been recently cleaned and the wet floor sign was in place but it still smelled awful and was as bad as a gas station bathroom.

It's been awhile since ive been to a piggly wiggly but I am totally not disappointed.The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They have an actual post office inside and the store has a good selection including a very large and well serviced hot bar at the deli. This deli is one of the types that could give alot of restaurants a good challenge. It looks like they specialize in fried chicken and I haven't had it yet but this might be a first choice and their prices are very good for the fried chicken too.

This store is always well stocked, with great accessibility to items, clean, and never overly busy. 97% of my interactions with staff are pleasant, respectful, and helpful. On the flip side though never overly busy means less lanes open and limited number of employees to assist with questions or check out. These details earn them a 3 to 4 star rating from me BUT the quality of the food available at the hot bar(open 11 to 6ish)alone bumps them to 5 stars. They consistently replace older items with fresh items, have an excellent number of choices for entrees and sides, and very reasonable prices. (6.99 for 1 entree, 2 sides, biscuit or cornbread, and a drink, 7.99 for same meal but with 3 sides.)Portion sizes are significant as well. Oh and they have the best homemade food and the BEST fried chicken in town!! Puts KFC, Bojangles, etc. To shame. Not even in the same league. You wont be disappointed!

Place was clean but a few items were expired and still on shelf. This is not the first time I have found expired stuff from boxed to cheese. So if you do decide to shop check expiration date. Other than that i love the variety of food you can find there.

This has got to be the most expensive grocery store in town. They do however have the best beef and poultry meat selections anywhere in town. I generally do not buy anything there that is not on sale.

The Piggly Wiggly on Guinard Street in Sumter is great! They have a lovely seafood counter with someone always on duty to help you at this counter. They have great steaks. The cuts are better than average. The deli always has plenty of home cooked food for take out. This place is always busy. Check out their spice section,its huge!!! Been looking for smoked paprika. It's there. No. I don't shop here because I live in Manning but I love stopping here for lunch when I'm in Town.
