We went to the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Fairforest today and it was a totally different experience than when we last went to the Duncan location.The waitress was wonderful and her name was Eboni.Our food was hot when she brought it to the table. The bacon was beautiful and delicious. My hash brown casserole was moist and delicious. My country ham was fresh and hair free. My pancakes were hot enough to melt the butter and had crispy edges.I’m glad we didn’t give up on Cracker Barrel altogether and we will definitely be back at this location.Everyone in the entire restaurant greeted us as we were leaving including the manager and other waitstaff in the store.Great job Eboni and the whole restaurant for making this visit so pleasant😁

My family and I eat here relatively frequently. A lot of the times that we do come here, it is to stop in for some dessert and coffee! The nice quiet atmosphere is always nice to get a bit of dessert when you are out! We do eat here occasionally. I find that Cracker Barrel’s food is consistent. It isn’t the greatest or the worst. Having the consistency in quality makes it a pretty good choice compared to other restaurants in the area. The server we had last night on 12/15/23 was not very good at all. He frequently would not even respond to a thank you and he didn’t bring any nam with the biscuits. He also was a bit slack in refilling drinks… The rest of the experience was right on par with the Cracker Barrel experience.

The four of us ate here on December 27, 2023. Waited 45 minutes for food. All the silverware was dirty, so we got plastic wear instead. I received my order around 2:04 pm. Didn't get the side of soup that was ordered until 2: 45. The soup looked like someone had already eaten half then reheated it. My son ordered chicken and dumplings, but with grilled chicken instead of broiled. His order didn't not have grilled chicken. It still came out with broiled chicken. He told them that his order was not correct and that is what's supposed to be grilled. They then told him that he will have to pay $8 extra for more chicken even though they messed up his order and did not bring out the right chicken.

Avoid this place – you're better off eating probably anywhere else.This is absolutely the worst run Cracker Barrel I've ever been to. We waited for almost an hour after ordering our food and got nothing other than a salad.After waiting for 40 minutes, we let them know we'd have to go in 10 minutes if the food wasn't out. They said it would be only 5 more minutes, but 15 minutes later we had no food so we got up and left.Coming here was a truly awful experience and a total waste of time.

Worst service ever. Sat 20 minutes waiting for waitress, got drinks after another 15 minutes. After talking to hostess and management we finally got our food. But the order was wrong.....now we've been there almost an hour. They put correct order in and finally got correct meat not no new sided. We were to eat cold sides with meat.....Yes we were very upset. Never happened anywhere else like that.... very disappointing

Congrats on turning this place around. I have been here many times over the years and never has it been so welcoming and delicious food to boot. The waitress came back often asking how we were doing ...keep that up!Previously I actually had a terrible experience and I am glad to see it seems to have been resolved.

We had lunch and food was great. Had trout, it was a little too spicy for me. Next time will ask lightly spiced. Tea was especially good. I shopped in the store. Lovely things to look at. I purchased 2 items. Will go back soon.Dietary restrictions: No spicy items.

It was my father's birthday it was great experience. Our waitress was not told it was a celebration she saw a card on the table and just made it special. Thanks so much to her for just being great. She had her own tables and was very busy and she still gave us great service. We are not from there and was visiting and it was a great experience because of Marissa.Parking: When it’s busy there is not much parking.

The Service was good, we went in the evening and it wasn't busy at all. There were three of us but it took a long time to get our order out and when it came you could tell my plate had been sitting on a warmer or something because the plate was very hot yet the potatoes and meat were not even barely warm. I ordered a hamburger steak and it had so much pepper on it I couldn't eat it. I was really disappointed because when we usually go there we've never had any issues that bad.

I walked up to the empty hostess stand and waited 10 minutes to place a to go order and no one acknowledged me or walked up to take my order. I walked over to the cashier who was with a customer, then asked the cashier. She paged someone. I went back to the hostess stand with menu on hand. A group of servers and what looked like a manager casually strolled out of the kitchen right next to the hostess stand. And they were talking and laughing, did not look at me or approach me. They all just stopped there for a good 2 minutes. And I’m standing right there. Still no one cared I was there. And at this point there was another party that walked up. I had a menu in my hand (not opened) as well, so I eventually just put the menu down and had to leave. And now I don’t have any time to get food before an appointment. Terrible terrible service and priority management. What’s more important? Chit chatting or greeting customers and taking their order? The restaurant was empty. I wasted a good 15 minutes standing, and waiting to put my order in for no good reason.

Absolutely the worst experience at Cracker Barrel. Last night my wife and I stopped in for dinner, placed our order and sat patiently for 30+ minutes for our food. Then the disappointment really began. Wife had ordered a very simple 2 eggs scrambled, biscuit and gravy, and hash brown casserole. The server then said by the way, we are out of biscuits so I brought cornbread instead. Really? Who eats cornbread and gravy? The hash brown casserole was hard and not crispy at all.Then I looked at my Country fried steak with gravy, fried okra, and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were barely warm to the touch and felt like they had been sitting for so long that a crust had formed on they outer layer. The gravy looked suspicious as well, I picked up the corner of the steak and the gravy didn't even move. Literally picked the entire piece up from the plate and the gravy clung to the steak and didn't even drop off on to the plate.Visually it looked ok but we could not eat and enjoy the meal.Asked for a manager, when he came to the table and didn't really seem to care that the food was substandard for the money. We told him we didn't want the meal but, would pay for our drinks since we had already drank half. He took our ticket and said he would be right back. 10 minutes later, our server returned and told us that he said he would take care of our drinks. He didn't even have the desire to come back to our table and at least act like the quality was unacceptable.I WILL NEVER RETURN TO Cracker Barrel.

We ordered the hot meal catering that feeds 10, and let me say this.. it was absolutely wonderful!!! It was ready at pickup time, the food was hot, and it was fresh! They provided all of the serving-ware! As well as silverware and plates! The food was incredibly delicious and it fed way more than 10! We still have leftovers! The staff was so kind as well when we went inside to pick it up! Thank you so much Cracker Barrel for the great meal!! Very affordable and well worth the price!

This was the worst dining experience we have ever had!! It's just the Fairforest/Spartanburg location. They were out of several of the food items we ordered, the fish was slimy, the French toast bake was tasteless and cold, the waitress had no personality, and the manager could have cared less. After 2 hours we received a $10 deduction on 12 meals. Whoop-de-do!! We have had similar experiences at this location over the past couple years. Should have known not to go this time but had kids who wanted to eat. Glad the pancakes were good!!We eat at Cracker Barrels all over the southeast and this is the only location we've ever had issues at.

Hands down the worst Cracker Barrel I’ve ever been in. I don’t know if it made a difference that we were there an hour before closing or if they are always like this.My husband ordered the Steak and egg hash brown casserole which was supposed to have sirloin steak tips. The server came back after several minutes and said they were out of sirloin tips but they were substituting sirloin. No biggie. It arrived beyond well done. The biscuits they served were cold and never rose when they baked so they were inedible.When we got the bill, and the server was no longer anywhere to be found, we discovered that they charged EXTRA for the sirloin that they substituted.

It is always fun visiting Cracker Barrel, even if there is a moment of waiting for a table. Enjoy the gift shop , lot of fun and interesting things to check out. Then might find some candy , or something from the past you really enjoyed, thought never see again. Always something that will bring joy or laughter when looking around the gift shop .Wheelchair accessibility: Some sections might be little tight , yet the staff will be glad to help you if you need more room .

Initially, I was excited to eat here again but was sadly disappointed. This was like our monthly eating out experience. We did not receive our drinks until after the food arrived. By that point, I had already went out to our car and grabbed my water bottle. We never received utensils until after the food came out. In short, we had to remind the server about our drinks and utensils. My partner asked for ranch and never received ranch. The experience was so bad that we asked for our to go boxes as soon as we got the food. We did not ask for additional drinks if the server had checked on us we could have saved her the extra steps. It seemed like she was embarrassed that she forgot and then just avoided us. Instead of trying to own up to the mistake and redeem the experience.French toast was not plated correctly. It was in a vertical stack instead of spread out. Not the biggest deal in the world. Made the plate look like it had empty space.Our best experience was looking at the toys and candy at the beginning. The cashier was thorough and explained where additional squish mellows were.It stinks because this was a brunch date.

We seem to stop here on our way to vacation. This is your typical Cracker Barrel. The food has varied in pleasure from visit to visit. It seems to lack consistency. I will say the waitress we had both of the last two times did a great job. She was able to take our large group of six's orders without writing anything down. All of our food was correct each visit.

Worst service I think they could have offered. Several people other than myself waited for an absorbent amount of extra time then we were originally quoted for our food. By the time it came out it was cold overcooked dry, generally an appetizing to have the person who asked us six times what our names were blatantly say they forgot what the hell we were waiting for, five minute period. Was a bit ridiculous.
