The staff were friendly and helpful. They really care about the animals and want the best homes for them. They answered all of my questions and gave me great resources to make sure we are ready for adopting a dog with special needs.

Excellent place. Mark and his teamReally care about the animals. They work hard and give so much of themselves to their cause. I adopted my dog there last October. His name is Carter. Can't really rate this place, haven't physically been there. I just know they have been way over capacity a very long time and cant/ won't take animals in. More help and homes are needed for the animals.

My friend and I drove 2 hours for her to see if there was a dog she wanted to adopt. She did find one but it was not ready for adoption yet. While we were there I noticed quite a few dogs did not have water and those that did the water was dirty; and the grass needed to be cut. This was adoption day and I didn't expect to see the conditions I saw. I called back to see if I could find out some info on the dog my friend was interested in. The gentleman I talked to was extremely rude. I had a simple question and wanted a simple answer. I did not expect to get preached to! I would not do business with this place. There are other facilities that have dogs up for adoption that are clean and the animals are well maintained. I suggest getting your pet from one of these.

I can not stress enough how kind Steve and the rest of the staff are. He helped me get help for my dog when I had fallen on hard times and I can tell you.. this man loves those babies! Such a good heart and truly, he helped me through a really tough situation. Sometimes, it's the random acts of kindness that can really change a person's perspective. Steve, thank you for caring and for making me realize there are still great people in the world.Those sweet rescues are blessed to have you.

I went there to volunteer my time for this pet rescue establishment. Lovable Paws gets no funding from the county or any government facility. It relies totally on pet adoptions, donations of pet supplies, your time and anything you can contribute for the health and well being of these neglected animals.The animals at Lovable Paws and the people who run it need your help

I adopted a puppy from lovable Paws. They are professional and the puppy was in exceptional condition. I could tell the puppy had be handled and socialized . They are fed high quality food and well cared for. My adoption fee included his spay, vetting and shots . I am impressed with Steve Allen the founder of Lovable Paws he is a kind and caring man . I would 100% adopt from lovable again .

I first inquired about an adult dog at this shelter that was said to be kid friendly on the website then when I got to the shelter the young lady told me the dog was not kid friendly. Then she directed me to some puppies I was very interested in and when I inquired about one she told me the puppy wasn’t ready to pick up yet but I could come back in a week or two to get her. I then filled out an application and called a few times to follow up. I was told I would receive a call back and never did. I finally decided to call after waiting a week and was told the puppy was given to someone else. Overall very dissatisfied with the service at this shelter. Hopefully some others will receive better service.

We adopted Lucy from Lovable Paws Rescue. Steve and the team were great. Lucy is healthy and happy. She is adapting well and shows the care she received at the rescue. We definitely would adopt from them again. Please consider adopting one of their dogs.

I’m really shocked and saddened by such a horrible person representing this rescue. When your offering to volunteer your free time and to be treated with such rudeness and with such an unprofessional attitude how can anyone feel comfortable dealing with them. I hope the animals are treated so much better than the humans are treated but with that level of ugliness I doubt it

The guy answering the phones needs sensitivivy training and to learn how to speak to the human beings who are Considering adopting a pet from them. So if he really cares about providing nice, safe homes for the pets he shouldn't start off by alienating the people inquiring about them. So my advice to lovable paws rescue is if you want to be truly successful at what your doing find someone who is pleasant and helpful to answer your phones .

Can anybody tell me if they have had a negative experience? I filled out adoption forms for two dogs one of which I admit was a mistake I didn't see special needs. Asked about another was told not good with kids even though the bio didn't say that but the list said yes. Finally I just said what small dogs do you have that are ok with kids, cause I was willing to drive to meet the dog just to see we all would vibe. They stopped responding. I'm trying to figure out what the problem is, I'm new to sc so I don't know all the areas yet.

Glad dogs are being adopted out quickly, but on their Facebook we are told to watch for updates on when dogs are available. Over the course of a couple months at the very least, we have been watching and finding dogs that were perfect for our family, only to be told over Messenger that they've been adopted already, even before their Facebook followers are told they were available and ready for adoption. Could work on better transparency and keeping people up to date.

A great local rescue group privately owned. See their latest dogs and puppies on their Facebook page. It's sad that there are so many dogs abandoned but Lovable paws does their very best to find them loving homes. They also work with the prison's dog training program.

We PAID Fee's For A Little Dog Named Cloe On December 14th CALLED NO RESPONSE On 16th/17th CALLED On December 24 December 25th NO RESPONSE Called December 31st NO RESPONSE Called January 1st About 9:00 am FINALLY ANSWERS Phone Told STEVE We Were COMING Got There About 1:30 pm .Man Was Walking OUR Dog A Lady Named Heather Said She Had Just CALLED Us We Live 35 To 40 Minutes From Ridgeland CELL PHONES NEVER RANG .We Were Told There Seems To Be A DILEMMA The Man Was STILL Holding OUR DOG 🐕🐕 Steve Asks HIS Wife How Are Your Allergies? My Husband Asks What's Going On Steve Says You Called At 9:00 It's Almost 2:00 WOW WOW So You CLOSE At 3 SO YOU Just Give OUR DOG To Someone ELSE My Husband Say's GIVE ME The Dog Or GIVE Me My Money Steve Says We Can't Do That My Husband Say's EITHER I GET MY DOG Or My Money So Steve ANGRILY Writes A Check For Our Money & It Has December 14 th On The Check (& We Were NEVER CALLED Our EMAILED ANYTHING) We Got $300 Back & SADLY Went Home We LEFT Cloe & Were TOLD We'd Be Called AFTER She Was Taken To The Vet & A Week Later We Would Get HER Mark Was SO SORRY He Went & Got Our Check & APOLOGIZED When We Got Home Heather Was On Our HOME PHONE Saying A Family WANTED Cloe & If She DIDN'T Hear From Us Within 15 Minutes They Were Going To Let The Family Get Her We WERE ON THE ROAD HEADED To Them When She CALLED We WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN😡😡😡😡😡
