Sierra has been an amazing groomer for my little guy. I have taken him back a few times now after his first ever professional appointment. I can tell by his anxiety getting better that they take care of their furry clientele. The staff has always been nice and easy to communicate with as someone going to a groomer's for the first time. Very affordable as well! Be prepared for your pup to be gone a few hours but they'll come out looking great! 10/10

I was very impressed with my first time at Special Pets. I have two chihuahuas, one of which absolutely hates nail trims. Based on previous reviews, I chose to try Special Pets due to positive comments on dealing with feisty small dogs. My other dog usually shakes during her grooming sessions. Nope! Both pups did very well, which I absolutely credit the staff for being patient with them both. We will absolutely be back, and I definitely recommend Special Pets Hair & Care!

I have some positive and negative opinions about this place.On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The prices are cheaper compared to the average. I thought the cut was fine and from what I’m aware no bad things happened during the grooming session.However, there were negative aspects as well. They are slower compared to others places. Not only on grooming, but check in as well. The smell of the place was horrendous. Of course I don’t expect the place to smell like roses. On the other hand, I also don’t expect it smell so bad that I get a headache. Lastly, there was some aspects of unprofessionalism. For example, attire (showing undergarments), kissing my pet without my permission, and again the lack of cleanliness.I think for some the positive aspects outweighs the negative, so I still do think this place is worth a try as most of my negative feedback may be due to a bad day.

I've been coming here for years and they always take great care of my two dogs! Gracie is older and enjoys her grooming trips. Reyna is my 35 pound 5 month old puppy and she's had 2 puppy grooming visits and the staff gives me feedback to ensure she will do great as she transitions to regular grooming appointments .

I have a 9 month old labradoodle and normally clip him myself. This time the blades went dull and it was going to take a week to come in (I was only half way through his cut). Made an appointment here and took him and and when I picked him up he looked AMAZING! I will continue to use them at least twice a year and highly recommend them to others. Thank you! He looks amazing.

This is the only place I take Copper for grooming. We have never had a bad experience. The staff are very nice, caring and patient. The prices are great as well. I highly recommend Special Pets.

I requested the bath and basic with emphasis on deshedding and gland express on the phone. The price was a fair $50 and I made an appointment. At the appointment I was told she'd be ready in a few hours and I would be called when it was time.I was called about 1.5 hrs later that she was ready to be picked up. I paid and tipped before examining the work.My dog wasn't deshedded; still blowing a considerable amount of fur just by being touched. The groomer, while very nice and polite, didn't recognize that she had a double coat and admitted to not have used deshedding shampoo. Fortunately, I still had time to spare but I had to spend an additional hour with him brushing and blowing out my dog's hair. She still smelled like dog, and I don't know if that is attributed to the product they use for bathing. I didn't ask about it and I also understand that dogs have sensitive skin.If it matters, my dog is an uncommon mixed breed, short hair with a double coat similar to that of a husky. And she is has anxiety and doesn't like being groomed, so for that he did a really good job keeping her calm and working with her.

First, time toy poodle mom and I had so many questions and they were very nice and professional with taking the time to make sure I receive the answers. This groomer does an amazing job & I feel very comfortable leaving my Bentley with them. I know he's going to get an amazing cut, but also be cared for too. The compliments I receive on how great he looks go all to this place!! I definitely will continue bringing my fur baby here & referring others too!

I boarded my dogs (Emen and Tiny) here and had them groomed. The staff is great! They are loving, patient, and kind with my energetic dogs. I do not get my dogs groomed but they performed such a great job, they will be back for grooming and boarding. Thank you everyone!!!

update for 2023 - Special Pets remain the only groomer we can trust with our dogs. I know Ms. Christina has been dealing with health issues over the past year but her team has kept delivering. They know how to deal with behaviorally challenged dogs like my Rosa.The only place that can deal with Rosa, who is the worst chihuahua ever. Been taking my dogs for over 7 years to Ms. Christina.

I can't say enough about Christina and her business. Her and her staff are always friendly, professional and you can see they care about their fur baby customers. My dog Trouble and I highly recommend Special Pets. I have had Trouble groomed and boarded there multiple times. Pricing is reasonable and the care and service is outstanding. Thank you/Woof ;-)

Not a good experience for me nor for my 14 year old Golden doodle. I left her there from 11: 00 and she was not ready for pickup til 7:20. No phone call from the groomers at allTold them I did not want a poodle cut and that's what she got from them.Very unhappy with this business as it was a nightmare for me and my fur baby.This doodle also has arthritis and they obviously did not take into consideration the length of time she was held.there!

Took our dogs here recently. They had them for 7 hours, have never been anywhere that has taken that long. Get home and noticed both of them are cut very uneven around their stomachs, chest, face and legs! Some places on their legs have lines shaved to the skin from the shaver so it looks chopped up! Our fur babies will not be going back here especially for what they charged for this poor quality!

Our first experience at Special Pets was so easy and seamless from the phone call to set up the appointment to the drop-off for grooming to the pick-up when our Leo was all done. Christina did a fantastic job and did everything I requested including the best ear hair removal that Leo has ever had. What a treat this whole experience was. Thanks to all there!

Called and made an appointment for 11,They said Come in at 10:30.When I arrive at 10:30They said my appointment was at10.They penalized me for being late and kept the 2 small dogs all day. I said I shouldn't have to pay full price and she threatened to call the police. I've been going there several years and would never have expected the unprofessional and rude behavior especially since I've been going there so long. THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME. Service has been getting worse but this is excessive.

Christy is the BEST! She has been grooming my babies for almost 13 years. She treats every baby as if they were her own.Staff is very nice and helpful! Recommend them every chance i get.

Took my dog in for 930 grooming appointment was not done until 4pm. Cut was terrible. Ears uneven, face not totally shaved and patches of shorter hair all-over her body. Do not recommend and will not go back!!

I was able to get a last minute appointment for a full groom for my Yorkie Pooh. They did an amazing job, quickly and at a reasonable price. We will definitely be returning.
